In this paper, bendloss characteristics of an optical fibre are investigated in detail, and the results show that the resonator with a smaller ring radius, wider free spectrum range (FSR), higher fineness (f) and quality-factor (Q) can be achieved by using microfibres. Based on the improved fused taper technique, a high-quality microfibre with 5 ttm radius has been fabricated, and an all-fibre micro-ring resonator with a radius of only 500μm is realized using self-coiling coupling method. The good-resonant characteristic makes the all-fibre device be expected to avoid bendloss and connection loss associated with planar waveguide integration. 相似文献

This paper reports a continuous-wave (CW) mid-infrared intracavity singly resonant optical parametric oscillator based on periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) pumped by a diode-end-pumped CW Nd:YVO4 laser. Considering the thermal lens effects, it adopted an optical ballast lens and the near-concentric cavity for better operation. At the PPLN's grating period of 28.5 μm and the temperature of 140℃, the maximum idler output power of 155 mW at 3.86 μm has been achieved when the 808 nm pump power is 8.5 W, leading to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 1.82%. 相似文献

The liquid crystal spatial light modulator (LC SLM) is very suitable
for wavefront correction and optical testing and can produce a
wavefront with large phase change and high accuracy. The LC SLM is
composed of thousands of pixels and the pixel size and shape have
effects on the diffractive characteristics of the LC SLM. This paper
investigates the pixel effect on the phase of the wavefront with the
scalar diffractive theory. The results show that the maximum optical
path difference modulation is 41\,$\mu$m to produce the paraboloid
wavefront with the peak to valley accuracy better than $\la$/10.
Effects of the mismatch between the pixel and the period, and black
matrix on the diffraction efficiency of the LC SLM are also analysed
with the Fresnel phase lens model. The ability of the LC SLM is
discussed for optical testing and wavefront correction based on the
calculated results. It shows that the LC SLM can be used as a
wavefront corrector and a compensator. 相似文献

We have studied the radiation of a double-walled carbon nanotube
(DWNT) filament with a length of 4.5\,mm and a diameter of
10\,$\mu$m by applying an electric current through the filament. The
DWNT filament starts emitting incandescent light at voltage
$U=6$\,V. Emission spectra of the DWNT below temperature 1250\,K can
well be fitted to those of the blackbody radiation. The intensity of
the incandescent light shows an exponential dependence on the
voltage applied on the DWNT filaments. The resistance of the DWNT
filaments is very stable at high temperatures between 900 and
1250\,K during the emission of light in the experiments. 相似文献

Frequency shifts of the acetylene saturated absorption lines at
1.5\,$\mu$m with temperature, gas pressure and laser power have been
investigated in detail. The second-order Doppler effect, the recoil
effect, the Zeeman effect, the pressure shift and the power shift
are taken into consideration. The magnitudes of those shifts caused
by various effects are evaluated. In order to reproduce the
stability of $5.7\times10^{ - 14}$ obtained by Edwards, all
necessary conditions are given. The results show that when there is
a larger external magnetic field, the Zeeman shift could not be
neglected, so that the shield should be employed. And the design of
a long cavity is advantageous to reduce the influence of the
second-order Doppler effect. The results also show that at least
$\pm $2.5\du\ temperature control for cavity can effectively prevent

This paper reports that the tunable self-phase-stabilized infrared
laser pulses have been generated from a two-stage optical parametric
amplifier. With an 800 nm pump source, the output idler pulses are
tunable from 1.3 μm to 2.3 μm, and the maximum output
energy of the idler pulses is higher than 1 mJ at 1.6 μm by
using 6 mJ pump laser. A carrier-envelope phase fluctuation of
~ 0.15 rad (rms) for the idler pulses is measured for longer
than one hour by using a home build f-to-2f interferometer. 相似文献

Preparation, structural and electrical properties of zinc oxide grown on silicon nanoporous pillar array 下载免费PDF全文
Polycrystalline thick film of zinc oxide (ZnO) is grown on a unique
silicon substrate with a hierarchical structure, silicon nanoporous
pillar array (Si-NPA), by using a vapour phase transport method. It
is found that as-grown ZnO film is composed of closely packed ZnO
crystallites with an average size of $\sim$10\,\mu$m. The film
resistivity of ZnO/Si-NPA is measured to be
$\sim$8.9\Omega\cdot$\,cm by the standard four probe method. The
lengthwise $I$-$V$ curve of ZnO/Si-NPA heterostructure is measured.
Theoretical analysis shows that the carrier transport across
ZnO/Si-NPA heterojunction is dominated by two mechanisms, i.e. a
thermionic process at high voltages and a quantum tunnelling process

Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR), Ferromagnetic antirresonance (FMAR) and low field magnetoimpedance (MI) are the characteristic features of high frequency losses in applied fields. While some results on FMR and FMAR in CoFeNi electroplated wires were reported earlier, here we present microwave absorption in CuBe wires electroplated by 1 μm FeCoNi magnetic layer at very low fields. These data are comparatively analysed together with longitudinal hysteresis loops in order to reveal the correlation between power absorption and magnetization processes. Microwave studies are made by using the cavity perturbation method at 9.65 GHz for a DC field parallel to the sample axis, and with microwave magnetic field hrf parallel or perpendicular to the wire axis. Two peaks have been observed in all samples, one is due to FMR, and the other is, at very low fields, related to MI. The MI peaks represent minima in power absorption. By comparing with the hysteresis loop we remark the close correspondence between the MI phenomena in the axial mode and the concomitant magnetization process. 相似文献

The effectiveness of this technique is evaluated by performing CH4 concentration measurement and using it to monitor the varying methane level in the atmosphere. It was proved that signal noise ratio enhancement factor is 4.25. The comparison between this filter and moving average is also included in this article. The behaviour of passively Q-switched solid-state lasers containing intracavity optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) is described, and a model to optimize this system‘s performance is developed. Meanwhile, an Nd:YAG laserpumped KTiOPO4 (KTP) intracavity OPO for eye safe laser output is studied experimentally. A Brewster-oriented bis-(4-dimethylaminodithiobenzil)-nickel (BDN) dye film is employed in laser cavity, which plays the double role of a passive Q-switch and a Brewster plate, to Q-switch the light to increase its intensity and polarize the light so that the polarization plane of fundamental irradiation is perpendicular to the Z-axis of KTP serving as the OPO nonlinear crystal, thereby providing type Ⅱ phase matching conditions to generate 1.572μm eye-safe signal laser. Eye-safe signal radiations of 6.6mJ per pulse at 1.572μm wavelength and pulse width as narrow as 6.0ns (FWHM) were obtained. Peak power was up to 1.1MW. 相似文献

The third-order optical nonlinearities of [(CH3)4N]Au(dmit)2 (dmit = 4,5-dithiolate-1,3-dithiole-2-thione) at 532 nm and 1064 nm are investigated using the Z-scan technique with pulses of picoseconds duration. The Z-scan spectra reveal a strong nonlinear absorption (reverse saturable absorption) and a negative nonlinear refraction at 532 nm. No nonlinear absorption is observed at 1064 nm. The molecular second-order hyperpolarizability γ for the [(CH3)4N]Au(dmit)2 molecule at 532nm is estimated to be as high as (2.1 ±0.1) × 10^-31 esu, which is nearly three times larger than that at 1064 nm. The mechanism responsible for the difference between the results is analysed. Nonlinear transmission measurements suggest that this material has potential applications in optical limiting. 相似文献

Elucidating the initial kinetics of folding pathways is critical to the understanding of the protein folding mechanism. Transient infrared spectroscopy has proved a powerful tool to probe the folding kinetics. Herein we report the construction of a nanosecond laser-induced temperature-jump (T-jump) technique coupled to a nanosecond timeresolved transient mid-infrared (mid-IR) spectrometer system capable of investigating the protein folding kinetics with a temporal resolution of 50 ns after deconvolution of the instrumental response function. The mid-IR source is a liquid N2 cooled CO laser covering a spectral range of 5.0μm (2000 cm^-1)-6.5μm (1540 cm^-1). The heating pulse was generated by a high pressure H2 Raman shifter at wavelength of 1.9μm. The maximum temperature-jump could reach as high as 26±1℃. The fast folding/unfolding dynamics of cytochrome C was investigated by the constructed system, providing an example. 相似文献

This paper investigates the third-order nonlinear optical properties of two azo-nickel chelate compounds by the optical Kerr gate method at 830 nm wavelength with pulse duration of 120 fs. Both of the two compounds exhibited large third-order optical nonlinearity. The second-order hyperpolarizability,γ, of Compound 1 is of 1.0 × 10^-31 esu. Due to the charge transfer, the γ of Compound 2 with electron donor and acceptor group is 4.9 × 10^-31 esu, which is a four-time enhancement in comparison with Compound i. The absorption spectra show that the electron push-pull effect, which induces intramolecular charge transfer, leads to the increased optical nonlinearity. 相似文献

We fabricated a set of symmetric gate-recess devices with gate length of 70 nm.We kept the source-to-drain spacing(LSD)unchanged,and obtained a group of devices with gate-recess length(Lrecess)from 0.4μm to 0.8μm through process improvement.In order to suppress the influence of the kink effect,we have done SiNX passivation treatment.The maximum saturation current density(IDmax)and maximum transconductance(gm,max)increase as Lrecess decreases to 0.4μm.At this time,the device shows IDmax=749.6 mA/mm at VGS=0.2 V,VDS=1.5 V,and gm,max=1111 mS/mm at VGS=?0.35 V,VDS=1.5 V.Meanwhile,as Lrecess increases,it causes parasitic capacitance Cgd and gd to decrease,making fmax drastically increases.When Lrecess=0.8μm,the device shows fT=188 GHz and fmax=1112 GHz. 相似文献

The Ho:YAP crystal is grown by the Czochralski technique.The room temperature polarized absorption spectra of Ho:YAP crystal was measured on a c cut sample with 1 at% holmium.According to the obtained Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ω2 = 1.42 × 10-20 cm2,Ω4 = 2.92 × 10-20 cm2,and Ω6 = 1.71 × 10-20 cm2,this paper calculated the fluorescence lifetime to be 6 ms for 5I7 →5 I8 transition,and the integrated emission cross section to be 2.24×10-18 cm2.It investigates the room temperature Ho:YAP laser end pumped by a 1.91 μm Tm:YLF laser.The maximum output power was 4.1 W when the incident 1.91 μm pump power was 14.4 W.The slope efficiency is 40.8%,corresponding to an optical to optical conversion efficiency of 28.4%.The Ho:YAP output wavelength was centred at 2118 nm with full width at half maximum of about 0.8 nm. 相似文献

By simulating the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and optical spectra on the basis of the 120×120 complete energy matrix, this paper determines the local lattice structure parameters R1 and R2 for MCl:V2+ (M=Na, K, Rb) systems at 77 K, 195 K and RT (room temperature 295 K or 302 K), respectively. The theoretical results indicate that there exists a compressed distortion in MCl:V2+ systems. Meanwhile, it finds that the structure parameters R1, R2 and |△R| (= R1-R2) increase with the rising temperature. Subsequently, from the analysis it concludes that the relation of EPR parameter D vs.△R is approximately linear. Finally, the effects of orbital reduction factor k on the g factors for the three systems have been discussed. 相似文献

This paper first demonstrates second-harmonic generation
(SHG) in the intact cell nucleus, which acts as an optical indicator
of DNA malignancy in prostate glandular epithelial cells. Within a
scanning region of $2.7~\mu$m$\times 2.7~\mu$m in cell nuclei, SHG
signals produced from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and
prostate carcinoma (PC) tissues (mouse model C57BL/6) have been
investigated. Statistical analyses ($t$ test) of a total of 405
measurements (204 nuclei from BPH and 201 nuclei from PC) show that
SHG signals from BPH and PC have a distinct difference ($p < 0.05)$,
suggesting a potential optical method of revealing very early malignancy
in prostate glandular epithelial cells based upon induced

Absolute optical oscillator strength density and double differential cross section spectra of CO below 120 eV are determined by fast electron impact. Some peaks above the first ionization threshold stand out as the momentum transfer square K2 increases. The doubly excited Rydberg states converging to C 2∑^+, D ^2∏, and F ^2∏ states of CO^+, respectively, are confirmed in our spectra.
