We present a method of proving inequalities for convex functions with use of Stieltjes integral. First, we show how some well-known inequalities can be obtained, and then we show how new inequalities and stronger versions of some existing results can be obtained.

On some nonlinear integral and discrete inequalitites related to Ou-Iang's inequality

Nonlinear integral and discrete inequalities are obtained, which are related to some recent results of B. G. Pachpatte in [1] given therein as generalizations of Ou-Iang's integral inequality [2]. As special cases, some new inequalities with the power nonlinearity are derived from the main results. To show the contribution of our results, boundedness of solutions to certain nonlinear difference equation is also considered. Stieltjes integral inequalities of Gronwall type and applications

Summary We obtain estimates for solutions of integral inequalities of Gronwall type involving Stieltjes integrals and their inverse inequalities. From these we obtain some new results for integral inequalities for Riemann integrals and functional integral inequalities. Extensions are also given to Bihari type integral inequalities.Research supported by NSERC Canada.     

Inequalities for formal power series and entire functions

We present several integral and exponential inequalities for formal power series and for both arbitrary entire functions of exponential type and generalized Borel transforms. They are obtained through certain limit procedures which involve the multiparameter binomial inequalities, integral inequalities for continuous functions, and weighted norm inequalities for analytic functions. Some applications to the confluent hypergeometric functions, Bessel functions, Laguerre polynomials, and trigonometric functions are discussed. Also some generalizations are given.

Converses of the Jensen inequality derived from the Green functions with applications in information theory

Jensen integral inequality has got much importance regarding their applications in different fields of mathematics. In this paper, two converses of Jensen integral inequality for convex function are obtained. The results are applied to establish converses of Hölder and Hermite-Hadamard inequalities as well. At the end, some useful applications in information theory of the obtained results are given. The idea used in this paper may inculcate further research.

About some new integral inequalities of Wendroff type for discontinuous functions

In this article, we obtain some new nonlinear integral inequalities for discontinuous functions of two independent variables (Wendroff type) by including also inequalities with delay. We deduce new generalizations of earlier results given by R.P. Agarwal, R. Bellman, I. Bihari, B.K. Bondge, V. Lakshmikantham, S. Leela, B.G. Pachpatte for continuous and discrete functions. Furthermore, generalizations of some results for integro-sum inequalities are obtained as well.     

Hadamard-type fractional differential equations for the system of integral inequalities on time scales

ABSTRACT

This paper investigates some system of integral inequalities of one independent variable on time scales. The conclusion can be obtained by using Hadamard-type fractional differential equations and Greene's method which bring together and expand some integral inequalities on time scales. The established inequalities give explicit bounds on unknown functions which can be utilized as a key in examining the properties of certain classes of partial dynamic equations and difference equations on time scales. As an application, a system of fractional differential equations is considered to explain the value of our results.
