A low-cost optical feedback system using dynamic mirrors has been developed at the NSLS for stabilizing the position and direction of an infrared synchrotron beam against thermal drift and mechanical noise. The system design has some unique features that potentially simplify installation into an existing infrared beamline. Analysis and control of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection have attracted the interests of mathematicians and control engineers during the recent years. Several mathematical models exist and adequately explain the interaction of the HIV infection and the immune system up to the stage of clinical latency, as well as viral suppression and immune system recovery after treatment therapy. However, none of these models can completely exhibit all that is observed clinically and account the full course of infection. Besides model inaccuracies that HIV models suffer from, some disturbances/uncertainties from different sources may arise in the modelling. In this paper we study the basic properties of a 6-dimensional HIV model that describes the interaction of HIV with two target cells, CD4+ T cells and macrophages. The disturbances are modelled in the HIV model as additive bounded disturbances. Highly Active AntiRetroviral Therapy (HAART) is used. The control input is defined to be dependent on the drug dose and drug efficiency. We developed treatment schedules for HIV infected patients by using robust multirate Model Predictive Control (MPC)-based method. The MPC is constructed on the basis of the approximate discrete-time model of the nominal model. We established a set of conditions, which guarantee that the multirate MPC practically stabilizes the exact discrete-time model with disturbances. The proposed method is applied to the stabilization of the uninfected steady state of the HIV model. The results of simulations show that, after initiation of HAART with a strong dosage, the viral load drops quickly and it can be kept under a suitable level with mild dosage of HAART. Moreover, the immune system is recovered with some fluctuations due to the presence of disturbances.  相似文献

We propose and study a mutualism model with feedback controls. By applying a new differential inequality, we show that the conditions which ensure the permanence of the system are the same as that of the model without feedback controls, which means that the feedback control variables have no influence on the persistent property of the system. The optimal information feedback has a significant effect on many socioeconomic systems like stock market and traffic systems aiming to make full use of resources. In this Letter, we study dynamics of traffic flow with real-time information. The influence of a feedback strategy named Corresponding Angle Feedback Strategy (CAFS) is introduced, based on a two-route scenario in which dynamic information can be generated and displayed on the board to guide road users to make a choice. Our model incorporates the effects of adaptability into the cellular automaton models of traffic flow and simulation results adopting this optimal information feedback strategy have demonstrated high efficiency in controlling spatial distribution of traffic patterns compared with the other three information feedback strategies, i.e., vehicle number and flux.  相似文献

Feedback fluid queues play an important role in modeling congestion control mechanisms for packet networks. In this paper we present and analyze a fluid queue with a feedback-based traffic rate adaptation scheme which uses two thresholds. The higher threshold B 1 is used to signal the beginning of congestion while the lower threshold B 2 signals the end of congestion. These two parameters together allow to make the trade-off between maximizing throughput performance and minimizing delay. The difference between the two thresholds helps to control the amount of feedback signals sent to the traffic source. In our model the input source can behave like either of two Markov fluid processes. The first applies as long as the upper threshold B 1 has not been hit from below. As soon as that happens, the traffic source adapts and switches to the second process, until B 2 (smaller than B 1) is hit from above. We analyze the model by setting up the Kolmogorov forward equations, then solving the corresponding balance equations using a spectral expansion, and finally identifying sufficient constraints to solve for the unknowns in the solution. In particular, our analysis yields expressions for the stationary distribution of the buffer occupancy, the buffer delay distribution, and the throughput.  相似文献

The proposed anti-synchronization conditions of coupled chaotic systems are based, in this Letter, on the use of aggregation techniques for the stability study of the error dynamics. The schemes are, successfully, applied to coupled Rössler and Chen chaotic systems making the instantaneous characteristic matrix under the arrow form. 环境温度变化和振动会引起光纤马赫-曾德干涉仪两臂相差随机性变化,致使干涉仪输出不稳定.本文研究了自然条件下外界温度和振动对基于3×3耦合器干涉仪的影响,分析结果表明,温度和振动所引起的干扰主要集中于100Hz以下的低频成分中.为了消除这些干扰,设计了单臂补偿的反馈回路以稳定输出信号,并提出了一种利用象限判决方法来区分反馈正负性的动态补偿方法.实验中利用3×3耦合器3个输出端中其中2个进行光电变换、差分放大等反馈电路后驱动管状压电陶瓷,使缠绕在其上的光纤伸缩,动态补偿干涉仪相差的漂移,稳定干涉仪输出即3×3耦合器第三输出端口的信号.针对自然环境下温度和振动引起的干扰,本文研制了一种稳定的动态补偿装置,能有效抑制160Hz以下的低频干扰,实时补偿干涉仪两臂的相差漂移,干涉仪输出稳定的干涉信号,波动幅度小于5.64%.  相似文献
