The principle of the method for the BESIII TOF calibration using cosmic ray data without magnetic field are reported in this paper. After applying calibration constants, the single-end readout time resolution could reach about 150 ps, and the time resolution for one layer is achieved to be about 110 ps. Piezoelectric transducers for dynamic overpressure measurements are commonly calibrated with static or quasistatic loads and the calibration is extrapolated to frequencies up to 30% of the resonant frequency of the piezoelectric crystal. Sinusoidal pressure generators are also used for dynamic calibration up to 500 Hz in the range of 3 MPa. This paper describes a method for dynamic calibration using transient overpressures, with rise time of 2 μsec and width 40 μsec, generated by exploding wires in air. The calibration is done in the range of 600 kPa.  相似文献

Position-sensitive thin-gap gas detectors have been developed in the laboratory, based on the ATLAS Thin Gap Chamber. The signal collection structure has been redesigned while retaining other configurations to keep the good time performance of the detector. The position resolution was measured using cosmic muons for two versions of the detector and found to be 409 μm and 233 μm respectively. This paper presents the structure of these two detector prototypes, with the position resolution measurement method and results.  相似文献

In ground-based extensive air shower experiments, the direction and energy are reconstructed by measuring the relative arrival time of secondary particles, and the energy they deposit. The measurement precision of the arrival time is crucial for determination of the angular resolution. For this purpose, we need to obtain a precise relative time offset for each detector and to apply the calibration process. The time offset is associated with the photomultiplier tube, cable, relevant electronic circuits, etc. In view of the transit time through long cables being heavily dependent on the ambient temperature, a real-time calibration method for the cable transit time is investigated in this paper. Even with a poor-resolution time-to-digital converter, this method can achieve high precision. This has been successfully demonstrated with the Front-End-Electronic board used in the Daya Bay neutrino experiment.  相似文献

In this paper the J/ψ→μ+μ- reconstruction performance in the CMS experiment at the LHC is studied in detail by using B5→ J/ψψ →μμКК events. The reconstruction efficiencies of J/ψ mesons and their decay muons are obtained as a function of the transverse momentum PT and the pseudo-rapidity η. We also study the muon trigger efficiency for this channel with the planned Level-1 trigger and High Level Trigger selection criteria. It was observed that the muon reconstruction efficiency decreases when the two decay muons have a small or large 3D angular separation, which further affects the overall J/ψ reconstruction efficiency.  相似文献

The precise bearing problem of digital split-beam sonar is described in this paper.By using theprinciple of cross power spectrum method proposed by Piersol for estimating the time delay between twosignals,the relationship between signal incidental angle and the time delay of equivalent acousticcenters of line or circle array are derived.Based on these expression,the precise value of bearing anglefor the target can be directly calculated from the input data. The accuracy of the estimates which depends on the number of accumulation,the length of DFTand the sample period is given.We have also described the error due to the truncating for randomsignal.The methods of improving the estimation accuracy,such as the weighting for estimates,win-dowing for input data and choosing the suitable parameters for DFT are given. The block diagram and a part of results of system simulation are presented.The method proposedin this paper is available in the real-time tracking of multiple targets of digital sonar.  相似文献

The pulse echo overlap method using electrostaic transducers for accurate measurement ofultrasonic velocity in solid media is discussed in this paper.Owing to the advantage of non-contactfor electrostatic transducers,the correction for coupling layer can be eliminated and the correct cyclicoverlap can be easily achieved,thus the performance of the echo measuring system is significanitlyimproved.In this paper the diffraction correction is calculated for the echo measuring system usingelectrostatic transducers,and an ultrasonic velocity measuring instrument and its transducers arealso described.The measuring results for several specimens of glass and aluminium show that themeasuring accuracy of transmission time in this system reaches 1/500 of RF period,that means themeasnring accuracy reaches 0.2 ns at 10 MHz.  相似文献

In order to satisfy the requirement of SI-traceable on-orbit absolute radiation calibration transfer with high accuracy for satellite remote sensors,a transfer chain consisting of a fiber coupling monochromator(FBM) and an integrating sphere transfer radiometer(ISTR) was designed in this paper.Depending on the Sun,this chain based on detectors provides precise spectral radiometric calibration and measurement to spectrometers in the reflective solar band(RSB) covering 300–2500 nm with a spectral bandwidth of 0.5–6 nm.It shortens the traditional chain based on lamp source and reduces the calibration uncertainty from 5% to 0.5% by using the cryogenic radiometer in space as a radiometric benchmark and trap detectors as secondary standard.This paper also gives a detailed uncertainty budget with reasonable distribution of each impact factor,including the weak spectral signal measurement with uncertainty of 0.28%.According to the peculiar design and comprehensive uncertainty analysis,it illustrates that the spectral radiance measurement uncertainty of the ISTR system can reach to 0.48%.The result satisfies the requirements of SI-traceable on-orbit calibration and has wider significance for expanding the application of the remote sensing data with high-quality.  相似文献

In this paper,a "macroscopic-scale" numerical method for drop oscillation in AC electrowetting is presented.The method is based on a high-fidelity moving mesh interface tracking(MMIT) approach and a "microscopic model" for the moving contact line.The contact line model developed by Ren et al.[Phys Fluids,2010,22:102103] is used in the simulation.To determine the slip length in this model,we propose a calibration procedure using the experimental data of drop spreading in DC electrowetting.In the simulation,the frequency of input AC voltage varies in a certain range while the root-mean-square value remains fixed.The numerical simulation is validated against the experiment and it shows that the predicted resonance frequencies for different oscillation modes agree reasonably well with the experiment.The origins of discrepancy between simulation and experiment are analyzed in the paper.Further investigation is also conducted by including the contact angle hysteresis into the contact line model to account for the "stick-slip" behavior.A noticeable improvement on the prediction of resonance frequencies is achieved by using the hysteresis model.  相似文献

The statistics of polarization in electromagnetic waves or target vector has been studied deeply, generally using Stokes parameters. Unfortunately, all the data-processing includes the assumption that the sampling data are independent of time, without a consideration of the time coherence of the polarization data, such as instantaneous Stokes parameters. In this paper, the definitions of the instantaneous coherent polarization function and polarimetric spectrum are presented for the first time, which shows the coherences of the instantaneous Stokes parameters in both time and frequency domain, even in spatial coherence. The new formula of definition can be extended to spatial propagation coherence, both in free space or any linear medium.  相似文献

<正>A practical method for evaluating the three-dimensional(3D) position and velocity of a moving object used in the parabolic flight experiment is developed by using the binocular stereo vision measurement theory. The camera calibration mathematic model without considering the lens distortion is introduced.The direct linear transformation(DLT) algorithm is improved to accomplish the camera calibration.The camera calibration result and optimization algorithm are used to calculate the object's world coordinate from image coordinate.The 3D position and the velocity of the moving object are obtained.The standard uncertainty in estimating the velocity is 0.0024 m/s,which corresponds to 1%level of the velocity of the object in the experiment.The results show that this method is very useful for the parabolic flight experiments.  相似文献

Offline calibration plays an important role in BES offline data processing. In order to achieve good spatial and momentum resolution, it is necessary to implement high precision offline calibration for the BES drift chamber. This paper studies the time-to-distance relations, which are important calibration constants for track reconstruction. The parameterization of the time-to-distance relation, studies of left-right asymmetry and studies of variation with entrance angle are performed. The impact of dead channels on the time-to-distance relation is given special attention in order to reduce the shift in measured momentum for tracks passing near dead cells. Finally we present the resolutions for barrel Bhabha events(|cos θ|< 0.8) from a J/ψ data set taken in 2012. The average spatial resolution is 123 μm and the momentum resolution for 1.548 Ge V/c Bhabha tracks is 11.9 Me V/c.  相似文献

The scale factor of a superconducting gravimeter(SG) is usually calibrated by using simultaneous and co-located gravity measurements with the FG5-type absolute gravimeter(AG). In this paper, another new kind of absolute gravimetercold atom gravimeter(CAG) is first reported to calibrate the SG. Five-day side-by-side gravity measurements have been carried out by using our CAG(NIM-AGRb-1) to calibrate the SG(iGrav-012) located at Changping Campus of the National Institute of Metrology(NIM) of China. A weighted least-squares method is applied to determine the scale factor and the result is given as(-928.01 ± 0.73) nm·s~(-2)·V~(-1) with a precision of 0.79‰. We have demonstrated that a calibration precision of 1‰ level can be achieved after 3 days of parallel observations at spring tide. The obtained calibration results are then compared with the previous calibration by FG5 X-249, which shows that the calibration precision obtained by using NIM-AGRb-1 was slightly higher than FG5 X-249 with the same time interval. The factors affecting the calibration precision are analyzed in the calibrations by means of different AGs. Finally, several calibration experiments for SG iGrav-012 are discussed. The final scale factor is estimated as(-927.58 ± 0.36) nm·s~(-2)·V~(-1) with an accuracy of 0.39‰. Our main results demonstrate that the CAGs can be used for high-precision calibrations of SGs.  相似文献

The X-ray spectrometer is one of the satellite payloads on the Chang'E-2 satellite. The soft X-ray detector is one of the devices on the X-ray spectrometer, designed to detect the major rock-forming elements within the 0.5–10 ke V range on the lunar surface. In this paper, energy linearity and energy resolution calibration is done using a weak55 Fe source. Temperature and time effects are found not to give a large error. The total uncertainty of calibration is estimated to be within 5% after correction.  相似文献

A high-speed high-sensitivity swept source optical coherence tomography (SSOCT) system using a high speed swept laser source is developed. Non-uniform discrete fourier transform (NDFT) method is introduced in the SSOCT system for data processing. Frequency calibration method based on a Mach-Zender interferometer (MZI) and conventional data interpolation method is also adopted in the system for comparison. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) images from SSOCT based on the NDFT method, the MZI method, and the interpolation method are illustrated. The axial resolution of the SSOCT based on the NDFT method is comparable to that of the SSOCT system using MZI calibration method and conventional data interpolation method. The SSOCT system based on the NDFT method can achieve higher signal intensity than that of the system based on the MZI calibration method and conventional data interpolation method because of the better utilization of the power of source.  相似文献

A new muon and pion capture system is proposed for the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS),currently under construction. Using about 4% of the pulsed proton beam(1.6 Ge V, 4 k W and 1 Hz) of CSNS to bombard a cylindrical graphite target inside a superconducting solenoid, both surface muons and pions can be acquired. The acceptance of this novel capture system- a graphite target wrapped up by a superconducting solenoid- is larger than the normal muon beam lines using quadrupoles at one side of the separated muon target. The muon and pion production at different capture magnetic fields was calculated using Geant4. The bending angle of the capture solenoid with respect to the proton beam was also optimized in simulation to achieve more muons and pions.Based on the layout of the muon experimental area reserved at the CSNS project, a preliminary muon beam line was designed with multi-purpose muon spin rotation areas(surface, decay and low-energy muons). Finally, high-flux surface muons(10~8/s) and decay muons(10~9/s) simulated by G4 beamline will be available at the end of the decay solenoid based on the first phase of CSNS. This collection and transport system will be a very effective beam line at a proton current of 2.5 μA.  相似文献

The research of the in-beam efficiency calibration of Neutron Detector Array of Peking University using 17N and 16C beams was introduced in this paper.
