Multiple Positive Solutions for a Nonlinear Elliptic Equation Involving Hardy–Sobolev–Maz'ya Term

In this paper, we study the existence and nonexistence of multiple positive solutions for the following problem involving Hardy–Sobolev–Maz'ya term:-Δu- λu/|y|2=|u|pt-1u/|y|t+ μf(x), x ∈Ω,where Ω is a bounded domain in RN(N ≥ 2), 0 ∈Ω, x =(y, z) ∈ Rk× RN-kand pt =N +2-2t N-2(0 ≤ t ≤2). For f(x) ∈ C1(Ω)\{0}, we show that there exists a constant μ* 0 such that the problem possessesat least two positive solutions if μ∈(0, μ*) and at least one positive solution if μ = μ*. Furthermore,there are no positive solutions if μ∈(μ*, +∞).

This paper deals with the existence of solutions to the elliptic equation -△uμu/|x|2=λu |u|2*-2u f(x, u) in Ω, u = 0 on ( a)Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN(N≥3),0∈Ω,2*=2N/N-2,λ＞0,λ(a)σμ, σμ is the spectrum of the operator -△- μI/|x|2with zero Dirichlet boundary condition, 0 ＜μ＜-μ,-μ=(N-2)2/4,f(x,u) is an asymmetric lower order perturbation of |u|2*-1 at infinity. Using the dual variational methods, the existence of nontrivial solutions is proved.

本文中,我们利用变分方法研究了-div(a(hx)|u|p-2u)+|u|p-2u=g(x)f(u),)/(x∈RN,u(x)≥0,)/(x∈RN,u∈W1,p(RN),弱解的存在性.其中p＞N≥2,a与g是正的径向对称函数.我们主要得到该问题在一定条件下的非径向对称最小能量解的存在性,并且利用Ljusternik-Schnirelmann定理得到了一个与a相关的关于解的数量的结果.

奇异半线性反应扩散方程初值问题的一些注记

考虑下述奇异半线性反应扩散方程初值问题(()-1-t△u=ut+f(x),t＞0,x∈RN lim u(t,x)=0,x∈RN t→0=)其中r＞0,△=∑( )/( )x2i,f(x)非负且f(x)∈L∞(RN).首先利用增算子不动点定理,重新证明了IVP在(0,+∞)上至少存在一个非负解,并给出了IVP解的迭代逼近序列.其次获得了一个有关IVP(1)正解的无限增长性的结果.最后,证明了当r＞1时,去掉条件1/r-1≥n/2,IVP的正解u(t)同样会产生爆破.研究结果表明情形limut→+∞(t,x)=+∞不会出现.

MULTIPLE SOLUTIONS FOR AN INHOMOGENEOUS SEMILINEAR ELLIPTIC EQUATION IN R~N

In this paper, the authors study the existence and nonexistence of multiple positive solutions for problem(*)μwhere h ∈ H-1(RN), N ≥ 3, |f(x,u)| ≤ C1up-1 + C2u with C1 > 0, C2∈ [0,1) being some constants and 2 < p < ∞. Under some assumptions on f and h, they prove that there exists a positive constant μ* <∞ such that problem (*)μ has at least one positive solution uμ if μ,∈ (0,μ*), there are no solutions for (*)μ if μ, > μ* and uμ is increasing with respect to μ∈ (0,μ*); furthermore, problem (*)μ has at least two positive solution for μ ∈ (0,μ*) and a unique positive solution for μ, =μ* if p ≤2N/N-2.

Non-Nehari manifold method for asymptotically periodic Schrdinger equations

We consider the semilinear Schrdinger equation-△u + V(x)u = f(x, u), x ∈ RN,u ∈ H 1(RN),where f is a superlinear, subcritical nonlinearity. We mainly study the case where V(x) = V0(x) + V1(x),V0∈ C(RN), V0(x) is 1-periodic in each of x1, x2,..., x N and sup[σ(-△ + V0) ∩(-∞, 0)] 0 inf[σ(-△ +V0)∩(0, ∞)], V1∈ C(RN) and lim|x|→∞V1(x) = 0. Inspired by previous work of Li et al.(2006), Pankov(2005)and Szulkin and Weth(2009), we develop a more direct approach to generalize the main result of Szulkin and Weth(2009) by removing the "strictly increasing" condition in the Nehari type assumption on f(x, t)/|t|. Unlike the Nahari manifold method, the main idea of our approach lies on finding a minimizing Cerami sequence for the energy functional outside the Nehari-Pankov manifold N0 by using the diagonal method.
