在ψ(3770)处,D0→K-π+是研究D0-■混合的非常理想的衰变道.实验上,良好的K/π识别技术将对寻找D0-■混合过程起着决定性的作用.在BESⅢ实验的物理预研究中,发现利用飞行时间的信息,能够精确测定末态中含有多条带电径迹事例的起始时间,从而可以改善飞行时间计数器的时间分辨率.进一步的研究表明,应用该方法后,BESⅢ双层TOF的时间分辨率从~78ps降到~64ps.按照20fb-1的ψ(3770)数据量进行估算,在95%置信度下,D0-■混合率的上限值可以提高7%左右.  相似文献

Material effect of inner-detectors on the performances of the BESⅢ Electromagnetic Calorimeter (EMC) is investigated. The BESⅢ Time-Of-Flight counters (TOF) have been utilized to improve the energy resolution and detection efficiency for photons after a careful energy calibration. A matching algorithm between TOF and EMC energy deposits is developed, and the effects of beam-related background are discussed. The energy resolution is improved and the photon detection efficiency can be increased by the combined measurement of EMC and TOF detectors.  相似文献

Based on real data,a new parameterized model of the main drift chamber response is proposed.In this model,we tune the ratio of good hits and the residual distribution separately.By data quality checking,the diference between simulation and data in track reconstruction efciency reduces from 1%to 0.5%averagely for the pion in J/ψ→π+ππ0,and the momentum resolution agreement improves significantly for the proton in J/ψ→ppˉ.  相似文献

The Beijing Spectrometer Ⅲ(BESⅢ)is a general-purpose detector used for the study of τ-charm physics at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider Ⅱ(BEPC Ⅱ).This paper presents our studies of the dE/dx measurement in the drift chamber of BESⅢ,which is important for the identification of charged particles.Corrections applied to the dE/dx measurement in data reconstruction are discussed.After our current dE/dx calibration,a resolution of about 6% has been obtained for minimum ionization particles,and a 3σ K/πseparation is obtained for momenta up to 760 MeV/c.These results meet the design goals of the BESⅢ drift chamber.  相似文献

Cosmic-ray data of 90 M events have been collected and used for calibration,alignment as well as detector tuning. A special tracking algorithm for the BESⅢ muon counter is developed and verified with Monte-Carlo simulation and then further confirmed with the cosmic-ray data. The obtained strip resolutions are in good agreement with the design values. A new alignment approach for the BESⅢ muon counter is confirmed with the cosmic-ray data and proposed to be used in future analysis of experimental data.  相似文献

从Monte Calor模拟和北京谱仪(BESⅡ)所取的实验数据入手,分析了p和p产生次级带电径迹和中性径迹的几率以及好径迹选择条件对这些次级径迹的去除情况、p在探测器中的能量损失和p的湮没、p和p在桶部簇射计数器中沉积能量的分布以及3种不同的粒子鉴别方法的优劣.给出了BES目前可以正确重建出的p和p的动量的最小值和利用TOF和dE?dx的联合信息鉴别p和p的优越性.  相似文献

The performance of histogram comparison is studied for the various types of hypothesis test methods. The Kolmogorov test is recommended for the software and data validation and the minimum event numbers for different distributions are given in order to get more reliable results. Data quality monitoring (DQM) plays an important role in data taking at the BESⅢ experiments. DQM is used to monitor detector status and data quality. A DQM framework (DQMF) has been developed to make it possible to reuse the BESⅢ offline reconstruction system in the online environment. In this framework, the DQMF can also simulate a virtual data taking environment, transfer events to the event display, publish histograms to a histogram presenter in a fixed interval, and dump histograms into a ROOT file. The DQMF has been stably running throughout BESⅢ data taking.  相似文献

We describe the algorithm to reconstruct the charged tracks for BESⅢ main drift chamber at BEPCⅡ, including the track finding and fitting. With a new method of the Track Segment Finder (TSF), the results of present study indicate that the algorithm can reconstruct the charged tracks over a wide range of momentum with high efficiency, while improving the robustness against the background noise in the drift chamber. The overall performances, including spatial resolution, momentum resolution and secondary vertices reconstruction efficiency, etc. satisfy the requirements of BESⅢ experiment.  相似文献
