A stabilized finite-element method for the Stokes problem including element and edge residuals

The risk-free rate, the appreciation rates and thevolatility of the stocks are all random; they depend on a randomparameter that is not adapted to the driving Brownian motion.The distribution of this parameter is unknown. The optimal investmentproblem is stated in a ‘maximin’ setting to ensurethat a strategy is found such that the minimum of expected utilityover all possible distributions of parameters is maximal. Long-Time Behavior of Solutions of the Fast Diffusion Equations with Critical Absorption Terms

This paper is devoted to the long-time behavior of solutionsto the Cauchy problem of the porous medium equation u_t = (u^m)– u^p in Rⁿ x (0,) with (1 – 2/n)₊ < m < 1and the critical exponent p = m + 2/n. For the strictly positiveinitial data u(x,0) = O(1 + |x|)^–k with n + mn(2 –n + nm)/(2[2 – m + mn(1 – m)]) k < 2/(1 –m), we prove that the solution of the above Cauchy problem convergesto a fundamental solution of u_t = (u^m) with an additional logarithmicanomalous decay exponent in time as t .

本文研究了比较一般的非线性扩散方程的Cauchy问题广义解的渐近性质.利用试验函数与积分估计的方法,获得了广义解当t→∞时的渐近性质以及其广义整体解u(x,t),推广了该类方程Cauchy问题广义解的性质.     

Solution of certain weakly singular integral equations

WEAK REGULARIZATION FOR A CLASS OF ILL-POSED CAUCHY PROBLEMS

This article is concerned with the ill-posed Cauchy problem associated with a densely defined linear operator A in a Banach space. A family of weak regularizing operators is introduced. If the spectrum of A is contained in a sector of right-half complex plane and its resolvent is polynomially bounded, the weak regularization for such ill-posed Cauchy problem can be shown by using the quasi-reversibility method and regularized semigroups. Finally, an example is given.     

On the mixed Cauchy problem with data on singular conics

We consider a problem of mixed Cauchy type for certain holomorphicpartial differential operators with the principal part Q_2p(D)essentially being the (complex) Laplace operator to a power,^p. We provide inital data on a singular conic divisor givenby P = 0, where P is a homogeneous polynomial of degree 2p.We show that this problem is uniquely solvable if the polynomialP is elliptic, in a certain sense, with respect to the principalpart Q_2p(D).

Asymptotic Analysis for a Class of Infinite Systems of First-Order PDE: Nonlinear Parabolic PDE in the Singular Limit

Abstract

We study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the Cauchy problem for a functional partial differential equation with a small parameter as the parameter tends to zero. We establish a convergence theorem in which the limit problem is identified with the Cauchy problem for a nonlinear parabolic partial differential equation. We also present comparison and existence results for the Cauchy problem for the functional partial differential equation and the limit problem.
