在微分几何的教学中,曲线,曲面理论是最主要的基础理论知识.欧氏空间中密切曲线在微分几何学中具有重要的研究价值.主要运用具有类光向量的费雷内标架讨论在四维Minkowski空间中与欧氏空间不同的一类特殊密切曲线(伪类光曲线)的一些几何性质,同时通过横截性原理给出了由伪类光曲线生成的伪类光超曲面的局部几何性质与奇点分类.     

Space-like loxodromes on rotational surfaces in Minkowski 3-space

We find all space-like loxodromes on rotational surfaces which have space-like meridians or time-like meridians, respectively by using a relevant Lorentzian angle in Minkowski 3-space. To understand loxodromes better, we draw some pictures of them via Mathematica computer program.

Simple characterizations of a pseudosphere or a time-like plane in Minkowski 3-space by the existence of light-like lines are given.     

INFINITESIMAL DEFORMATIONS OF TIME-LIKE SURFACES IN MINKOWSKI 3-SPACE

In this paper, infinitesimal deformations of time-like surfaces are investigated in Minkowski 3-space R^2,1. It is shown that some given deformations of the time-like surface can be described by 2 1 dimensional integrable systems. Moreover spectral parameters are introduced, and it is proved that deformation families are soliton surfaces‘ families.     

A zoo of translating solitons on a parallel light-like direction in Minkowski 3-space

We deal with solitons of the mean curvature flow. The definition of translating solitons on a light-like direction in Minkowski 3-space is introduced. Firstly, we classify those which are graphical, translation surfaces, obtaining space-like and time-like, entire and not entire, complete and incomplete examples. Among them, all our time-like examples are incomplete. The second family consists of those which are invariant by a 1-dimensional subgroup of parabolic motions, i.e., with light-like axis. The classification result implies that all examples of this second family have singularities.     

Ruled surfaces of non-degenerate third fundamental forms in Minkowski 3-spaces

In this paper, we study ruled surfaces in a Minkowski 3-space satisfying some equation in terms of a position vector field and Laplacian operator with respect to non-degenerate third fundamental form. Furthermore, we give a new example of null scroll in a Minkowski 3-space.     

Some classification of surfaces of revolution in Minkowski 3-space

We study the surfaces of revolution with the non-degenerate second fundamental form in Minkowski 3-space. In particular, we investigate the surfaces of revolution satisfying an equation in terms of the position vector field and the 2nd-Laplacian in Minkowski 3-space. As a result, we give some new examples of the surfaces of revolution with light-like axis in Minkowski 3-space.     

Discrete maximal surfaces with singularities in Minkowski space

We describe discrete maximal surfaces with singularities in 3-dimensional Minkowski space and give a Weierstrass type representation for them. In the smooth case, maximal surfaces (spacelike surfaces with mean curvature identically 0) in Minkowski 3-space generally have certain singularities. We give a criterion that naturally describes the “singular set” for discrete maximal surfaces, including a classification of the various types of singularities that are possible in the discrete case.     

Singularities of maximal surfaces

We show that the singularities of spacelike maximal surfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski 3-space generically consist of cuspidal edges, swallowtails and cuspidal cross caps. The same result holds for spacelike mean curvature one surfaces in de Sitter 3-space. To prove these, we shall give a simple criterion for a given singular point on a surface to be a cuspidal cross cap. Dedicated to Yusuke Sakane on the occasion of his 60th birthday.     

Asymptotic behavior of classical solutions of reducible quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristic boundaries

In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of classical solutions of reducible quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristic boundaries. Under some suitable assumptions, we prove that the solution approaches a combination of Lipschitz continuous and piecewise C¹ traveling wave solution. As an application, we apply the result to the equation for time-like extremal surfaces in the Minkowski space-time R1+(1+n).     

Surface pencil with a common line of curvature in Minkowski 3-space

In this paper, we analyze the problem of constructing a surface pencil from a given spacelie （timelike） line of curvature. Using the Frenet frame of the given line of curvature in Minkowski 3-space, we express the surface pencil as a linear combination of this frame and derive the necessary and sufficient conditions for the coefficients to satisfy the line of curvature requirement. We illustrate this method by presenting some examples.
