The deformation of pressure vessel domes in asymmetric winding with the use of two families of yarns is accompanied by shear deformations and torsion. For the case of large deformations, a system of equations for describing the stress-strain state of an asymmetrically reinforced netlike shell of revolution loaded with an internal pressure is obtained. It is shown that the shear deformations depend on the deformations of both the yarn families and the deformations of meridians and parallels of the shell. Space-like surfaces and time-like surfaces with zero mean curvature vector in oriented neutral 4-manifolds are isotropic and compatible with the orientations of the spaces if and only if their lifts to the space-like and the time-like twistor spaces respectively are horizontal. In neutral Kähler surfaces and paraKähler surfaces, complex curves and paracomplex curves respectively are such surfaces and characterized by one additional condition. In neutral 4-dimensional space forms, the holomorphic quartic differentials defined on such surfaces vanish. There exist time-like surfaces with zero mean curvature vector and zero holomorphic quartic differential which are not compatible with the orientations of the spaces and the conformal Gauss maps of time-like surfaces of Willmore type and their analogues give such surfaces.  相似文献

Three kinds of horizon-like hypersurface of a uniformly rectilinearly accelerating, non-stationary charged black hole: event horizon, apparent horizon and time-like limit surface are studied. The result is that the event horizon is apart from the time-like limit surface and the apparent horizon in the case where the black hole is charged, uniformly accelerating and its mass is varying (evaporating and accreting). We consider families of systems of first-order linear differential equations on complex linear spaces that represent the Cherednik variant of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations. For these families of equations, we prove a rigidity property with respect to a certain class of isomonodromic deformations; i.e., we show the absence of nontrivial special isomonodromic deformations with a movable divisor of singularities.  相似文献

In general coordination and for identical initial conditions all time-like geodesies of the pseudo-Riemann space V4 are mapped with time-like world lines of the space ¯V4 due to a pseudo-Lorentzian force. The mapping of all time-like world lines of ¯V4 with the geodesies of the space V4, is also considered. We present new tools for determining whether two nilpotent metric Lie algebras are in the same isometry class. We exhibit new examples of continuous families of nilsoliton metric Lie algebras, including deformations of uniform metric Lie algebras. We show that all algebras of generalized Heisenberg type except for Heisenberg algebras and two others admit deformations by nilsoliton metric Lie algebras.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to present the first continuous families of Riemannian manifolds that are isospectral on functions but not on 1-forms, and, simultaneously, the first continuous families of Riemannian manifolds with the same marked length spectrum but not the same 1-form spectrum. Examples of isospectral manifolds that are not isospectral on forms are sparse, as most examples of isospectral manifolds can be explained by Sunada’s method or its generalizations, hence are strongly isospectral. The examples here are three-step Riemannian nilmanifolds, arising from a general method for constructing isospectral Riemannian nilmanifolds previously presented by the author. Gordon and Wilson constructed the first examples of nontrivial isospectral deformations, continuous families of Riemannian nilmanifolds. Isospectral manifolds constructed using the Gordon-Wilson method, a generalized Sunada method, are strongly isospectral and must have the same marked length spectrum. Conversely, Ouyang and Pesce independently showed that all isospectral deformations of two-step nilmanifolds must arise from the Gordon-Wilson method, and Eberlein showed that all pairs of two-step nilmanifolds with the same marked length spectrum must come from the Gordon-Wilson method. In this paper, position vector of a time-like slant helix with respect to standard frame of Minkowski space E31 is studied in terms of Frenet equations. First, a vector differential equation of third order is constructed to determine position vector of an arbitrary time-like slant helix. In terms of solution, we determine the parametric representation of the slant helices from the intrinsic equations. Thereafter, we apply this method to find the representation of a time-like Salkowski and time-like anti-Salkowski curves as examples of a slant helices, by means of intrinsic equations. Moreover, we present some new characterizations of slant helices and illustrate some examples of our main results.  相似文献

We find existence and multiplicity results for time-like spatially periodic trajectories of massive particles carrying an electric charge q and subjected to time-dependent gravitational and electromagnetic fields. Such trajectories are obtained by projecting, on the base space-time, time-like geodesics with respect to a suitable Kaluza-Klein metric.  相似文献

We prove that, both in the hyperbolic and spherical 3-spaces, there exist nonconvex compact boundary-free polyhedral surfaces without selfintersections which admit nontrivial continuous deformations preserving all dihedral angles and study properties of such polyhedral surfaces. In particular, we prove that the volume of the domain, bounded by such a polyhedral surface, is necessarily constant during such a deformation while, for some families of polyhedral surfaces, the surface area, the total mean curvature, and the Gauss curvature of some vertices are nonconstant during deformations that preserve the dihedral angles. Moreover, we prove that, in the both spaces, there exist tilings that possess nontrivial deformations preserving the dihedral angles of every tile in the course of deformation.  相似文献

We deal with solitons of the mean curvature flow. The definition of translating solitons on a light-like direction in Minkowski 3-space is introduced. Firstly, we classify those which are graphical, translation surfaces, obtaining space-like and time-like, entire and not entire, complete and incomplete examples. Among them, all our time-like examples are incomplete. The second family consists of those which are invariant by a 1-dimensional subgroup of parabolic motions, i.e., with light-like axis. The classification result implies that all examples of this second family have singularities.  相似文献

Problems on large stretching, torsional and bending deformations of a naturally twisted rod, loaded with end forces and moments, are considered from the point of view of the non-linear three-dimensional theory of elasticity. Particular solutions of the equations of elastostatics are found, which are two-parameter families of finite deformations and which possess the property that, for these deformations, the initial system of three-dimensional non-linear equations reduces to a system of equations with two independent variables. The use of these equations enables one to reduce certain Saint-Venant problems for a naturally twisted rod to two-dimensional non-linear boundary-value problems for a planar domain in the form of the cross-section of a rod. Different formulations of the two-dimensional boundary-value problem for the cross-section are proposed, which differ in the choice of the unknown functions. A non-linear problem of the torsion and stretching of a circular cylinder with helical anisotropy, which is reduced to ordinary differential equations, is considered as a special case.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper we construct two families of semisimple Hopf algebras of dimension 2 n+1, n ≥ 3. They are all constructed as Radford's biproducts. For these examples and their duals we compute their grouplike elements, centers, character algebras and Grothendieck rings. Comparing these facts we are able to show that depending on the dimension, representatives of one of the families are selfdual. We also prove that Hopf algebras from these families are neither triangular nor cotriangular and that their cocycle deformations are trivial.  相似文献
