1 INTRODUCTION Polythiotungstate complexes can be prepared from the protonation of one sulfur atom of [WS4]2- and subsequent intramolecular redox reactions[1,2]. For example, [(S)2W(m-S)2W(m-S)2W(S)2]2 was formed by the acidification of a diluted aqueous solution of (NH4)2[WS4] with dilute H2SO4[3]. Reaction of W(NCMe)(η(2)-PhC≡CPh)(3) with C(60) affords W(η(3)-NC(Me)C(60))(η(4),η(2)-C(6)Ph(6)) (2) and W(≡CPh)(NCMe)(η(2)-C(60)) (η(3),η(2)-C(5)Ph(5)) (3). The hexaphenylbenzene species of 2 shows an η(4)-butadiene + η(2)-olefin bonding mode and the nitrile carbon is inserted into one 6:5-ring junction of C(60). The first use of 2-pyridylcyanoxime, (py)C(CN)NOH, in transition metal chemistry is described. Depending on the nature of the metal starting material and the reaction conditions employed, the Cu(II)/(py)C(CN)NOH system has provided access to complexes [Cu(3)O{(py)C(CN)NO}(3)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(2)(MeOH)] (1), [Cu(4)O{(py)C(CN)NO}(4)(O(2)CMe)(2)] (2), [Cu(4)(OH)(2){(py)C(CN)NO}(2)(O(2)CPh)(4)](2n)·n[Cu(4)(OH)(2){(py)C(CN)NO}(2)(O(2)CPh)(4)] (3), and [Cu{(py)C(CN)NO}(2)](n) (4). The molecule of 1 consists of three Cu(II) atoms in a strictly equilateral arrangement bridged by a central μ(3)-oxide group. The molecule of 2 consists of a tetrahedron of Cu(II) atoms held together by a central μ(4)-oxide ion, four η(1):η(1):η(1):μ-(py)C(CN)NO(-) ligands and two η(1):η(1):μ-MeCO(2)(-) groups. The crystal structure of 3 consists of [Cu(4)(OH)(2){(py)C(CN)NO}(2)(O(2)CPh)(4)](2n) double chains and discrete cluster [Cu(4)(OH)(2){(py)C(CN)NO}(2)(O(2)CPh)(4)] molecules. The crystal structure of 4 consists of neutral polymeric chains based on centrosymmetric mononuclear [Cu{(py)C(CN)NO}(2)] units. The Cu(II) atoms are doubly bridged by the oximate groups of two η(1):η(1):η(1):μ-(py)C(CN)NO(-) ligands. Variable-temperature, solid-state direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility studies were carried out for 1-4. The data indicate very strong antiferromagnetic exchange interactions for 1-3. The obtained J values are discussed in depth on the basis of the structural parameters of the complexes, literature reports, and existing magnetostructural correlations.  相似文献

The reaction of [(η5-C5Me5)2Mo2(μ3-S)4(CuCl)2] 1 with Na2S in MeCN produced a trinuclear cluster [(η5-C5Me5)2Mo2(μ3-S)(μ-S)3(CuCl)] 2. 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 15.563(3), b = 8.9547(18), c = 17.846(4) , β = 101.29(3)o, V = 2438.9(9) 3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.878 g/cm3, T = 193(2) K, C20H30ClCuMo2S4, Mr = 689.60, F(000) = 1376, μ(MoKα) = 2.335 mm–1, S = 1.050, R = 0.0305 and wR = 0.0688 for 4033 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). In the structure of 2, one [(η5-C5Me5)2Mo2(μ-S)2S2] moiety and one CuCl unit are assembled into an incomplete cubane-like [Mo2S4Cu] core framework, in which the Cu center adopts a distorted tetrahedral geometry coordinated by one μ3-S atom, two μ-S atoms and one terminal chloride. A general method for the synthesis of cage-carbon-functionalized cyclopentadienyl iron and cyclopentadienyl ruthenium tricarbadecaboranyl complexes has been developed that employs palladium-catalyzed Sonogashira, Heck, and Stille cross-coupling reactions directed at a cage-carbon haloaryl substituent. The key Li(+)[6-(p-XC(6)H(4))-nido-5,6,9-C(3)B(7)H(9)(-)] (X = I (1), Br (2), Cl (3)) haloaryl-tricarbadecaboranyl anionic ligands were synthesized in high yields via the reaction of the arachno-4,6-C(2)B(7)H(12)(-) anion with the corresponding p-halobenzonitriles (p-XC(6)H(4)-CN). The reactions of the salts 1-3 with (η(5)-C(5)H(5))Fe(CO)(2)I and (η(5)-C(5)H(5))Ru(CH(3)CN)(3)PF(6) were then used to produce the haloaryl complexes 1-(η(5)-C(5)H(5))-2-(p-XC(6)H(4))-closo-1,2,3,4-MC(3)B(7)H(9) (M = Fe, X = I (4), Br (5), Cl (6) and M = Ru, X = I (7), Br (8), Cl (9)). The sonication-promoted Sonogashira coupling reactions of 4 with terminal alkynes catalyzed by Pd(dppf)(2)Cl(2)/CuI yielded the alkynyl-linked derivatives 1-(η(5)-C(5)H(5))-2-p-RC(6)H(4)-closo-1,2,3,4-FeC(3)B(7)H(9) (R = (PhC≡C)- (10), (CH(3)CH(2)C(O)OCH(2)C≡C)- (11), ((η(5)-C(5)H(5))Fe(η(5)-C(5)H(4)C≡C))- (12)). Heck reactions of 4 with terminal alkenes catalyzed by Pd(OAc)(2) yielded the alkene-functionalized products 1-(η(5)-C(5)H(5))-2-p-RC(6)H(4)-closo-1,2,3,4-FeC(3)B(7)H(9) (R = (PhCH(2)CH═CH)- (13), (CH(3)(CH(2))(2)CH═CH)- (14)), while the Stille cross-coupling reactions of 4 with organotin compounds catalyzed by Pd(PPh(3))(2)Cl(2) afforded the complexes 1-(η(5)-C(5)H(5))-2-p-RC(6)H(4)-closo-1,2,3,4-FeC(3)B(7)H(9) (R = Ph- (15), (CH(2)═CH)- (16), (CH(2)═CHCH(2))- (17)). These reactions thus provide facile and systematic access to a wide variety of new types of functionalized metallatricarbadecaboranyl complexes with substituents needed for potential metallocene-like biomedical and/or optoelectronic applications.  相似文献

Slow diffusion reactions of the pentaphosphaferrocene [Cp*Fe(η(5)-P(5))] (Cp*=η(5)-C(5)Me(5) (1)) with CuX (X=Cl, Br, I) in different stoichiometric ratios and solvent mixtures result in the formation of one- and two-dimensional polymeric compounds 2-6 with molecular formula [{Cu(μ-X)}{Cp*Fe(μ(3),η(5):η(1):η(1)-P(5))}](n) (X=Cl (2a), I (2'c)), [{Cu(μ-I)}{Cp*Fe(μ(3),η(5):η(1):η(1)-P(5))}](n) (3), [{CuX}{Cp*Fe(μ(4),η(5):η(1):η(1):η(1)-P(5))}](n) (X=Cl (4a), Br (4b), I (4c), Br (4'b), I (4'c)), [{Cu(3)(μ-I)(2)(μ(3)-I)}{Cp*Fe(μ(5),η(5):η(1):η(1):η(1):η(1)-P(5))}](n) (5) and [{Cu(4)(μ-X)(4)(CH(3)CN)}{Cp*Fe(μ(7),η(5):η(2):η(1):η(1):η(1):η(1):η(1)-P(5))}](n) (X=Cl (6a), Br (6b)), respectively. The polymeric compounds have been characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and, for selected examples, by magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy. The solid-state structures demonstrate the versatile coordination modes of the cyclo-P(5) ligand of 1, extending from two to five coordinating phosphorus atoms in either σ or σ-and-π fashion. In compounds 2a, 2'c and 3, two phosphorus atoms of 1 coordinate to copper atoms in a 1,2 coordination mode (2a, 2'c) and an unprecedented 1,3 coordination mode (3) to form one-dimensional polymers. Compounds 4a-c, 4'b, 4'c and 5 represent two-dimensional coordination polymers. In compounds 4, three phosphorus atoms coordinate to copper atoms in a 1,2,4 coordination mode, whereas in 5 the cyclo-P(5) ligand binds in an unprecedented 1,2,3,4 coordination mode. The crystal structures of 6a,b display a tilted tube, in which all P atoms of the cyclo-P(5) ligand are coordinated to copper atoms in σ- and π-bonding modes.  相似文献

The reaction of 1-chloro-2-(trimethylsilyl)-1-boracyclohexa-2,5-diene with [(n)Bu(4)N]C≡N provides the 1-borabenzonitrile salt [(n)Bu(4)N][C(5)H(5)BC≡N] which in turn reacts with [Ru(4)(μ-Cl)(4)(η-C(5)Me(5))(4)] to afford the sandwich complex [Ru(η(6)-C(5)H(5)BC≡N)(η-C(5)Me(5))]. The bonding of 1-borabenzonitrile is discussed with recourse to crystallographic data for [(n)Bu(4)N][C(5)H(5)BC≡N] and [Ru(η(6)-C(5)H(5)BC≡N)(η-C(5)Me(5))].  相似文献

The reaction of μ-alkyne-bridged dimolybdenum compound [Mo2(μ-C2HPh)(CO)4(η5-C5H4C(O)Me)2] 1 with Co2(CO)8 in refluxing toluene gave a new butterfly compound [Co2Mo2(μ4-C2HPh)(μ-CO)4(CO)4(η5-C5H4C(O)Me)2] 2 which was fully characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction techniques. 2 crystallized in monoclinic system, C30H20Co2Mo2O10, Mr=850.23, space group P21/a(#14), a=14.165(5), b=12.498(2), c=16.204(2)(A), β = 96.50(2)°, V = 2850(1)(A)3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.981 g cm-3, F(000)=1672, μ(MoKα)=20.41 cm-1, final R=0.030, Rw=0.039 for 4831 observable reflections with I>2σ(I). The structure contains a Co2Mo2 butterfly core, and each Mo-Co bond is spanned by an asymmetric semi-bridging carbonyl ligand.  相似文献
