Due to the importance of the mass forcing induced by precipitation and condensation in moist processes, the Lagrangian continuity equation without a source/sink term utilized to prove the Ertel–Rossby invariant(ERI) and its conservation property is re-derived considering the mass forcing. By introducing moist enthalpy and moisture entropy, the baroclinic ERI could be adapted to moist flow. After another look at the moist ERI, it is deployed as the dot product between the generalized velocity and the generalized vorticity in moist flow, which constitutes a kind of generalized helicity.Thus, the baroclinic ERI is further extended to the moist case. Moreover, the derived moist ERI forumla remains formally consistent with the dry version, no matter whether mass forcing is present. By using the Weber transformation and the Lagrangian continuity equation with a source/sink effect, the conservation property of the baroclinic ERI in moist flow is revisited. The presence or absence of mass forcing in the Lagrangian continuity equation determines whether or not the baroclinic ERI in moist flow is materially conserved. In other words, it would be qualified as a quasi-invariant but only being dependent on the circumstances. By another look at the moist baroclinic ERI, it is surely a neat formalism with a simple physical explanation, and the usefulness of its anomaly in diagnosing atmospheric flow is demonstrated by case study.  相似文献

By using the moist potential vorticity equation derived from complete atmospheric equations including the effect of mass forcing,the theory of up-sliding slantwise voriticity development (USVD) is proposed based on the theory of slantwise vorticity development.When an air parcel slides up along a slantwise isentropic surface,its vertical component of relative vorticity is developed.Based on the theory of USVD,a complete vertical vorticity equation is expected with mass forcing ,which explicitly includes the effect of both internal forcings and external forcings.  相似文献

Based on the strain invariant relationship and taking the high-order elastic energy into account, a nonlinear wave equation is derived, in which the excitation, linear damping, and the other nonlinear terms are regarded as the first-order correction to the linear wave equation. To solve the equation, the biggest challenge is that the secular terms exist not only in the fundamental wave equation but also in the harmonic wave equation (unlike the Duffing oscillator, where they exist only in the fundamental wave equation). In order to overcome this difficulty and to obtain a steady periodic solution by the perturbation technique, the following procedures are taken: (i) for the fundamental wave equation, the secular term is eliminated and therefore a frequency response equation is obtained; (ii) for the harmonics, the cumulative solutions are sought by the Lagrange variation parameter method. It is shown by the results obtained that the second- and higher-order harmonic waves exist in a vibrating bar, of which the amplitude increases linearly with the distance from the source when its length is much more than the wavelength; the shift of the resonant peak and the amplitudes of the harmonic waves depend closely on nonlinear coefficients; there are similarities to a certain extent among the amplitudes of the odd- (or even-) order harmonics, based on which the nonlinear coefficients can be determined by varying the strain and measuring the amplitudes of the harmonic waves in different locations.  相似文献

We study the properties of the Ginzburg-Landau model at the dual point for the superconductors. By making use of the U(1) gauge potential decomposition and the φ-mapping theory, we investigate the topological inner structure of the Bogomol'nyi equations and deduce a modified decoupled Bogomol'nyi equation with a nontrivial topological term, which is ignored in conventional model. We find that the nontrivial topological term is closely related to the N-vortex, which arises from the zero points of the complex scalar field, Furthermore, we establish a relationship between Ginzburg Landau free energy and the winding number.  相似文献

The energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Schroedinger equation for Eckart potential as well as the parity-time-symmetric version of the potential in three dimensions with the centrifugal term are investigated approximately by using the Nikitbrov-Uvarov method. To show the accuracy of our results, we calculate the energy eigenvalues for various values of n and l. It is found that the results are in good agreement with the numerical solutions for short-range potential (large α). For the case of 1/α =〉 i/α, the potential is also studied briefly.  相似文献

Comparison of two kinds of atmospheric vorticity equations, i.e. the traditional vorticity equation and the complete-form vorticity equation, is performed. The result shows that the two kinds of the vorticity equations can transform from each other and they are consistent in physical essence, while the complete vorticity equation has more advantages in diagnosis. Finally, the application of the complete form vorticity equation is analysed briefly with real data.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the influence of the dark energy on the time-like geodesic motion of a particle in Schwarzschild spacetime by analysing the behaviour of the effective potential which appears in an equation of motion. For the non-radial time-like geodesics, we find a bound orbit when the particle energy is in an appropriate range, and also find another possible orbit, which is that the particle drops straightly into the singularity of a black hole or escapes to infinity. For the radial time-like geodesics, we find an unstable circular orbit when the particle energy is the critical value, in which case it is possible for the particle to escape to infinity.  相似文献

For the nonlinear wave equation with quartic polynomial potential, bifurcation and solitary waves are investigated. Based on the bifurcation and the energy integral of the two-dimensional dynamical system satisfied by the travelling waves, it is very interesting to find different sufficient and necessary conditions in terms of the bifurcation parameter for the existence and coexistence of bright, dark solitary waves and shock waves. The method of direct integration is developed to give all types of solitary wave solutions. Our method is simpler than other newly developed ones. Some results are similar to those obtained recently for the combined KdV-mKdV equation.  相似文献

For a misfit dislocation, the balance equations satisfied by the displacement fields are modified, and an extra term proportional to the second-order derivative appears in the resulting misfit equation compared with the equation derived by Yao et al. This second-order derivative describes the lattice discreteness effect that arises from the surface effect. The core structure of a misfit dislocation and the change in interfacial spacing that it induces are investigated theoretically in the framework of an improved Peierls–Nabarro equation in which the effect of discreteness is fully taken into account. As an application, the structure of the misfit dislocation for a honeycomb structure in a two-dimensional heterostructure is presented.  相似文献

A new tracer is presented to diagnose tropical cyclones (TCs) and their correspondent rainfall. It is defined as water vapour potential vorticity (WPV) by replacing potential temperature with specific humidity in the potential vorticity (PV). The WPV is compared with PV and moist potential vorticity (MPV) in diagnosing three tropical cyclone cases occurred in North-West Pacific during 10 July to 21 July 2005 (Haitang), 30 July to 9 August 2005 (Matsa) and 25 September to 3 October 2005 (Longwang) separately. The results show that in tracing the track of TCs, WPV is not nicer than PV but better than MPV. While diagnosing TCs' onshore rainfall, WPV is better than MPV in all the three cases. Moreover, the advection of WPV is a good indication of TC rainfall after its landing.  相似文献

The Eotvos experiment on the verification of equivalence between inertial mass and gravitational mass of a body is famous for its accuracy. A question is, however, can these experimental results be applied to the case of a physical space in general relativity, where the space coordinates could be arbitrary? It is pointed out that it can be validly applied because it has been proven that Einstein's equivalence principle for a physical space must have a frame of reference with the Euclidean-like structure. Will claimed further that such an overall accuracy can be translated into an accuracy of the equivalence between inertial mass and each type of energy. It is shown that, according to general relativity, such a claim is incorrect. The root of this problem is due to an inadequate understanding of special relativity that produced the famous equation E=mc^2, which must be understood in terms of energy conservation. Concurrently, it is pointed out that this error is a problem in Will's book, ‘Theory and Experiment in Gravitational Physics'.  相似文献

The status and accuracy of the precision Monte Carlo generators used for luminosity measurements at flavour factories is reviewed. It is shown that, thanks to a considerable, long-term effort in tuned comparisons between the predictions of independent programs, as well as in the validation of the generators against the presently available calculations of the next-to-next-to-leading order QED corrections to Bhabha scattering, the theoretical accuracy reached by the most precise tools is of about one per mille. This error estimate is valid for realistic experimental cuts, appears to be quite robust and is already sufficient for very accurate luminosity measurements. However, recent progress and possible advances to further improve it are also discussed.  相似文献

The beam tail effect of multi-bunches will influence the electron beam performance in a high intensity thermionic RF gun. Beam dynamic calculations that illustrate the working states of single beam tail and multi-pulse feed-in of a performance-enhanced EC-ITC (external cathode independent tunable cavity) RF gun for an FEL (free electron laser) injector are performed to estimate the extracted bunch properties. By using both Parmela and homemade MATLAB codes, the effects of a single beam tail as well as interactions of multi-pulses are analyzed, where a ring-based electron algorithm is adopted to calculated RF fields and the space-charge field. Furthermore, the procedure of unexpected deviated-energy particles mixed with an effective bunch head is described by the MATLAB code as well. As a result, the performance-enhanced EC-ITC RF gun is proved to have the capability to extract continual stable bunches suitable for a high requirement THz-FEL.  相似文献

The purpose of the present paper is to study the entropy hs(Ф) of a quantum dynamical systems Ф = ( L, s, Ф), where s is a bayessian state on an orthomodular lattice L. Having introduced the notion of entropy hs( Ф, A) of partition A of a Boolean algebra B with respect to a state s and a state preserving homomorphism Ф, we prove a few results on that, define the entropy of a dynamical system hs(Ф), and show its invariance. The concept of sufficient families is also given and we establish that hs (Ф) comes out to be equal to the supremum of hs (Ф,A), where A varies over any sufficient family. The present theory has then been extended to the quantum dynamical system ( L, s, Ф), which as an effect of the theory of commutators and Bell inequalities can equivalently be replaced by the dynamical system (B, s0, Ф), where B is a Boolean algebra and so is a state on B.  相似文献

The atomic and electronic structures of T1 and In on Si(111) surfaces are investigated using the firstprinciples total energy calculations. Total energy optimizations show that the energetically favored structure is 1/3 ML T1 adsorbed at the T4 sites on Si(111) surfaces. The adsorption energy difference of one T1 adatom between (√3 × √3) and (1 × 1) is less than that of each In adatom. The DOS indicates that TI 6p and Si 3p electrons play a very important role in the formation of the surface states. It is concluded that the bonding of TI adatoms on Si(111) surfaces is mainly polar covalent, which is weaker than that of In on Si(111). So T1 atom is more easy to be migrated than In atom in the same external electric field and the structures of T1 on Si(111) is prone to switch between (√3 × √3) and (1 × 1).  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a leader-following tracking problem for multi-agent systems with bounded inputs. We propose a distributed bounded protocol for each follower to track a leader whose states may not be completely measured. We theoretically prove that each agent can follow the leader with estimable track errors. Finally, some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our theoretical results.  相似文献

Physical designing of the pre-chopper in CSNS LEBT is carried out, which includes the deflecting voltage, the length and the width of the deflecting plates, and the gap between the deflecting plates. The most outstanding feature of the design is that both the gap and the width vary with the beam envelope size. So both the requried deflecting voltage and the loaded capacitance are lowered. In order to avoid destruction of the space charge neutralization by the pre-chopper in the whole LEBT, an electron-trapping electrode is arranged to confine the electrostatic field of the pre-chopper to the local area. To examine the reliability of the pre-chopping design in CSNS LEBT, a similar pre-chopping design in ADS RFQ LEBT is set up and an experiment on the pre-chopper is prepared. 3-dimensional simulations are carried out to determine the loaded capacitance and the applied voltage of the electron-trapping electrode.  相似文献

Understanding the cause of the synchronization of population evolution is an important issue for ecological improvement. Here we present a Lotka-Volterra-type model driven by two correlated environmental noises and show, via theoretical analysis and direct simulation, that noise correlation can induce a synchronization of the mutualists. The time series of mutual species exhibit a chaotic-like fluctuation, which is independent of the noise correlation, however, the chaotic fluctuation of mutual species ratio decreases with the noise correlation. A quantitative parameter defined for characterizing chaotic fluctuation provides a good approach to measure when the complete synchronization happens.  相似文献

By considering a new discrete isospectral eigenvalue problem, a hierarchy of lattice soliton equations of rational type are derived. It is shown that each equation in the resulting hierarchy is integrable in Liouville sense and possessing bi-Hamiltonian structure. Two types of semi-direct sums of Lie algebras are proposed, by using of which a practicable way to construct discrete integrable couplings is introduced. As applications, two kinds of discrete integrable couplings of the resulting system are worked out.  相似文献
