Ultrafast third-order optical nonlinearities of the as-deposited and annealed Au:Bi2O3 nanocomposite films deposited by magnetron cosputtering are investigated by using femtosecond time-resolved optical Kerr effect (OKE) and pump probe techniques. The third-order optical nonlinear susceptibility is estimated to be 2.6Ф×10^- 10 esu and 1.8 × 10.9 esu at wavelength of 800nm, for the as-deposited and the annealed film, respectively. The OKE signal of the as-deposited film is nearly temporally symmetrical with a peak centred at zero delay time, which indicates the dominant contribution from intraband transition of conduction electrons. For the annealed film, the existence of a decay process in OKE signal implies the important contribution of hot electrons. These characteristics are in agreement with the hot electron dynamics observed in pump probe measurement.  相似文献

2 O3 composite films with high Au concentrations (30%–60% in volume fraction) were prepared by reactive co-sputtering and post rapidly thermal annealing. The structure of the films and the size distributions of the Au nanoclusters were examined by TEM, and the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(3) was measured by degenerated four-wave mixing using a 70-ps pulse laser at 532 nm. The maximum value of the χ(3) was about 1.2×10-6 esu in the annealed films and occurred at around 45% Au concentration. The figure of merit, χ(3)/α (α is the absorption coefficient), has a value of 7×10-12 esu cm over a wide range of Au concentrations. Received: 23 July 1997  相似文献

We present the high-temperature characteristics of Ti/Al/Ni/Au(15 nm/220 nm/40 nm/50 nm) multiplayer contacts to n-type GaN (Nd = 3.7 × 10^17 cm^-3, Nd = 3.0 × 10^18 cm^-3). The contact resistivity increases with the measurement temperature. Furthermore, the increasing tendency is related to doping concentration. The higher the doped, the slower the contact resistivity with decreasing measurement temperature. Ti/Al/Ni/Au ohmic contact to heavy doping n-GaN takes on better high temperature reliability. According to the analyses of XRD and AES for the n-GaN/Ti/Al/Ni/Au, the Au atoms permeate through the Ni layer which is not thick enough into the AI layer even the Ti layer.  相似文献

Colloidal Au and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) composite thin films are fabricated by spin-coating method. Linear optical absorption measurements of the Au/PVP composite films indicate an absorption peak around 530 nm due to the surface plasmon resonance of gold nanoparticles. Nonlinear optical properties are studied using standard Z-scan technique, and experimental results show large optical nonlinearities of the Au/PVP composite films. A large value of χ^(3)/α up to 0.56× 10-^10esu·cm is obtained, which is comparable to the best values reported in metal/oxlde composite films.  相似文献

Colloidal Au and colloidal Ag were prepared by chemical reaction method and the nonlinear optical properties of Au and Ag nanoparticles doped polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) composite films were investigated using Z-scan technique with 38 ps pulses at 532 nm. Open aperture Z-scan measurements indicated that both the Au/PVP and Ag/PVP composite films exhibited reverse saturable absorption. Nonlinear absorption coefficients and third-order nonlinear refractive indices were determined. The mechanisms accounting for the process of nonlinear refractions were analyzed and the figures of merit W and T of the Au/PVP and Ag/PVP composite films were evaluated.  相似文献

应用分光光度计测量Te/TeO2-SiO2复合薄膜的透射光谱和吸收光谱, 在480nm附近观察到Te颗粒引起的等离子体共振吸收峰; 采用Z扫描技术研究了共振(激发波长为532 nm)和非共振情况下(激发波长1064 nm) 不同电位制备薄膜的Te颗粒状态与复合薄膜的三阶非线性极化率的关系. 基于有效介质理论对复合薄膜的三阶非线性效应进行分析, 研究Te颗粒大小对Te/TeO2-SiO2复合薄膜的非线性光学性质的影响及其产生机理. 结果表明薄膜制备过电位增大, Te的粒径减小, 颗粒数量多, 颗粒分布趋于均匀, 使得金属颗粒的表面等离子体共振峰红移, 吸收强度增强, 导致三阶非线性光学效应增强, χ(3)由1064 nm的5.12×10-7 esu增大为532 nm的8.11×10-7 esu. 关键词: 碲 二氧化碲 复合薄膜 三阶非线性  相似文献

利用脉冲激光沉积技术制备了掺杂金纳米颗粒的钛酸钡复合薄膜Au-BaTiO3,用高分辨透射电镜和X射线光电子能谱对薄膜进行了表征。从透射电镜照片可以看出,制备的样品中金颗粒大小约为2~3 nm,呈球形,均匀分布在载体介质中。X射线光电子能谱给出了Ba3d、Ti2p和Au4f电子芯能级结合能,结果表明载体介质是以BaTiO3的形式存在,而Au以金属的状态掺杂其中。330~800 nm范围的线性吸收谱表明样品中Au颗粒的共振吸收峰在500 nm附近。用单光束纵向扫描方法测量了样品的三阶非线性光学效应,使用的光源为调Q的YAG激光器,波长为532 nm,脉宽为10 ns,得到的非线性折射率和非线性吸收系数分别为-2.42×10-6esu和2.22×10-6m/W,表明了Au-BaTiO3复合薄膜有较大的非线性光学响应。  相似文献

We investigate the nanostructure, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) absorption and nonlinear enhancement of Au/Ag alloyed hollow nanoshells prepared by the replacement reaction of Ag nanoparticles in a HAuCI4 aqueous solution. As the volume of HAuCl4 increases from OmL to 0.S mL, the SPR band of the Au/Ag alloyed nanoshells is tuned from 430nm to 780nm, and the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility is enhanced nearly by an order of magnitude, which indicates a large enhancement of local field in the Au/Ag alloyed hollow nanoshells with hole defects.  相似文献

We report here the studies on third-order nonlinear optical properties of two novel polythiophene composite films investigated using the Z-scan technique. The measurements were carried out using a Q-switched, frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser producing 7 nanosecond laser pulses at 532 nm. Z-scan results reveal that the composite films exhibit self-defocusing nonlinearity. The real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility were of the order 10−12 esu. The effective excited-state absorption cross section was found to be larger than the ground state absorption cross section, indicating that the operating nonlinear mechanism is reverse saturable absorption (RSA). The polythiophene composite films also exhibit good optical power limiting of the nanosecond laser pulses. The nonlinear optical parameters are found to increase on increasing the strength of the electron-donor group, indicating the dependence of χ (3) on the electron-donor/acceptor units of polythiophenes.  相似文献

The angular distributions of CO^+ from the dissociation of CO2^2+ and CO2^+ in intense femtosecond laser fields (45 fs, about 5 × 10^15 W/cm^2) are studied at a laser wavelength of 800nm based on the time-of-flight mass spectra of CO^+ fragment ions. The experimental results show that structural deformation occurs in the charge state of CO2^2+ and the CO^+ maintains linear geometrical structure.  相似文献

We report an investigation of third-order optical nonlinearities in Ge nanocrystals (∼6 nm radius) embedded in silica matrix using the Z-scan and pump-probe techniques with femtosecond laser pulses at 780-nm wavelength. The nanocrystallite Ge samples were prepared using magnetron co-sputtering and post-thermal annealing at 800 °C. The nonlinear absorption coefficient and refractive index of the Ge nanocrystals were determined to be in the range from 1.8×10-7 to 6.8×10-7 cm/W and 1.5×10-12 to 8.0×10-12 cm2/W, respectively, which are proportional to the Ge atomic fraction in the matrix. Relaxation of the nonlinear response was found to have two characteristic time constants, 1.8 ps and 65 ps. The mechanisms responsible for the observed nonlinear response are discussed. 采用脉冲激光沉积技术在Si(100)和熔石英基片上制备了单相的CuO薄膜.通过X射线衍射仪,拉曼光谱仪,场发射扫描电镜和紫外可见光光度计对薄膜的结构,表面形貌和光学性质进行了表征. 场发射扫描电镜结果表明CuO薄膜中晶粒排列致密且分布均匀,其尺寸约为45nm.结合飞秒激光(800nm,50fs)和Z扫描方法测量了薄膜的三阶非线性光学特性,结果表明CuO薄膜具有超快的非线性光学响应且非线性折射率和非线性吸收系数均为负值,其大小分别为-3.96×10-17 m2< 关键词: CuO薄膜 Z-扫描')" href="#">Z-扫描 三阶光学非线性  相似文献

Au-core CdS-shell composite nanoparticles were synthesized by a direct self-assembly process and integrated into BaTiO3 thin films. Characterization by transmission electron microscopy showed that the average diameter of these composite nanoparticles was about 8 nm. Using the femtosecond time-resolved optical Kerr effect method, we investigated the third-order nonlinear optical response of the Au@CdS nanoparticles embedded in the BaTiO3 thin films at a wavelength of 800 nm. An ultrafast nonlinear response and a large effective third-order nonlinear susceptibility of χ(3)=7.7×10-11 esu were observed. We attributed the enhancement of the third-order optical nonlinearity to a localized electric field effect originating from the core-shell structure under off-surface-plasmon resonance conditions. 利用静电自组装技术,以生物大分子材料壳聚糖杂化处理具有稳定结构的CdSe/ZnS核/壳量子点,形成复合多层薄膜. 与薄膜的吸收谱线比较,在375nm飞秒激光激发下测量的量子点的光致发光谱存在Stokes位移. 采用Z扫描技术,利用790nm飞秒激光研究了其三阶非线性吸收和折射特性,发现饱和吸收信号来自CdSe/ZnS量子点,而自聚焦的折射信号则部分来自壳聚糖. 测出多层膜的三阶非线性系数分别是β=6.5×10-6cm/W,n2=1.5×10-10cm2/W. 关键词: CdSe/ZnS量子点 非线性性能 光致发光谱  相似文献

A simple method for synthesis of well dispersed cadmium sulphide nanoparticles embedded in a polyethylene glycol matrix (PEG 400) in thin film form is presented. The large blue shift of the band gap energy of the CdS nanoparticles compared to the bulk semiconductors is observed via UV-vis absorption spectra. Photoluminescence spectra of CdS nanocomposite films show that the emission peaks shift towards the longer wavelength with the increase of annealing temperature. Transmission electron microscopic images as well as Raman scattering studies confirm the CdS nanometer size particle formation within the polymer matrix. The particle size is about 8 nm. Selected area electron diffraction (SAED) shows the cubic zinc blende polycrystalline rings. Third-order optical nonlinearity of the CdS nanopartieles embedded in polymer thin films is studied with the Z-scan technique under 1064 nm excitation. The results show that the CdS nanocomposite film exhibits negative nonlinear refraction index and positive absorption coefficient. The film shows large optical nonlinearity, and the magnitude of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility of the film is calculated to be 1.73 × 10^-9 esu. The corresponding mechanism is discussed.  相似文献

SiO2 composite thin films containing InP nanocrystals were fabricated by radio-frequency magnetron co-sputtering technique. The microstructure of the composite thin films was characterized by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectrum. The optical absorption band edges exhibit marked blueshift with respect to bulk InP due to strong quantum confinement effect. Non-linear optical absorption and non-linear optical refraction were studied by a Z-scan technique using a single Gaussian beam of a He-Ne laser (632.8 nm). We observed the saturation absorption and two-photon absorption in the composite films. An enhanced third-order non-linear optical absorption coefficient and non-linear optical refractive index were achieved in the composite films. Oriented crystalline Pb(ZrxTi1-x)O3 (x=0.53) (PZT) thin films were deposited on metallized glass substrates by pulsed laser deposition (1060-nm wavelength Nd:YAG laser light, 10-ns pulse duration, 10-Hz repetition rate, 0.35-J/pulse and 25-J/cm2 laser fluence), from a commercial target at substrate temperatures in the range 380-400 °C. Thin films of 1-3 7m were grown on Au(111)/ Pt/NiCr/glass substrates with a rate of about 1 Å/pulse on an area of 1 cm2. The deposited PZT films with perovskite structure were oriented along the (111) direction, as was revealed from X-ray diffraction spectra. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was performed on different PZT films so that their vibrational modes could be determined. Piezoelectric d33 coefficients up to 30 pC/N were obtained on as-deposited films. Ferroelectric hysteresis loops at 100 Hz revealed a remanent polarization of 20 7C/cm2 and a coercive field of 100 kV/cm.  相似文献

Bi3TiNbO9 (BTN) thin films with layered perovskite structure were fabricated on fused silica by pulsed laser deposition. The XRD pattern revealed that the films are single-phase perovskite and highly (00l) textured. Their fundamental optical constants, such as band gap, linear refractive index, and linear absorption coefficient, were obtained by optical transmittance measurements. The dispersion relation of the refractive index vs. wavelength follows the single electronic oscillator model. The nonlinear optical absorption of the films was investigated by single beam Z-scan method at a wavelength of 800 nm with laser duration of 80 fs. We obtained the nonlinear absorption coefficient β=1.44×10−7 m/W. The results show that the BTN thin films are promising for applications in absorbing-type optical devices.  相似文献
