This paper develops fast multiscale collocation methods for a class of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with singular kernels. A truncation strategy for the coefficient matrix of the corresponding discrete system is proposed, which forms a basis for fast algorithms. The convergence, stability and computational complexity of these algorithms are analyzed.

In this paper, the cone theory and MSnch fixed point theorem combined with the monotone iterative technique are used to investigate the positive solutions for a class of systems of nonlinear singular differential equations with multi-point boundary value conditions on the half line in a Banach space. The conditions for the existence of positive solutions are formulated. In addition, an explicit iterative approximation of the solution is also derived.

Only solutions which are positive for n ≥ 0 are considered. We obtain a new sufficient for all positive solutions of (1) to oscillate about k which contains the corresponding result in [2] when I=1.

By employing the fixed point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type, we investigate the existence of positive solutions of generalized Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems for a nonlinear singular differential equation with a parameter. Some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions are established. In the last section, an example is presented to illustrate the applications of our main results.

In this paper,we study the strong law of large numbers for the frequencies of occurrence of states and ordered couples of states for nonsymmetric Markov chain（NSMC） indexed by Cayley tree with any finite states.The asymptotic equipartition properties with almost everywhere（a.e.） convergence for NSMC indexed by Cayley tree are obtained.This article generalizes a recent result.

The behavior of radial minimizers for a Ginzburg-Landau type functional is considered. The weak convergence of minimizers in W1,n is improved to the strong convergence in W1,n. Some estimates of the rate of the convergence for the module of minimizers are presented.

This paper discusses a class of second order nonlinear neutral differential equations with variable coefficients and variable d eviations.Oscillation oriteria for all solutions of the equations are established and sufficient conditions are also given to ensure those derivatives of all differentiable solutions of the equatiors to be oscillatory.

In this paper,we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local generalized solution of the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear hyperbolic equation of higher order are proved.Moreover,we give the sufficient conditions for blow-up of the solution of the problem in finite time will be given.     

ON THE STATIONARITY AND INVERTIBILITY OF A GENERAL BILINEAR TIME SERIES MODEL

In this paper, some statistical properties of a general bilinear time series model BL (n,m,p,q) are discussed. The sufficient conditions for asymptotic stationarity and invertibility are derived and the expressions of the autocovariance are also given for this model. Results of derivation show that the expressions of autocovariance for a bilinear model are quite different to that of a linear model in the case of q≥ 2 .     

ON A CONSTRUCTION OF INERTIAL MANIFOLDS FOR A CLASS OF SECOND ORDER IN TIME EVOLUTION EQUATIONS

Inertial manifolds for a class of second order in time dlssipative equations are constructed.The author also proves an asymptotic completeness property for the inertlal manifolds andcharcterizes the inertlal manifolds as the set of trajectories whose growth is at most of orderO(e-ut) for some u＞O. As applications, a nonllnear wave equation and a problem of nonlinearoscillations of a shallow shell are considered.

In this paper., some necessary and sufficient conditions for solving the inverse problem of linear equation system Ax = b taken both on r-circulating and symmetric r-circulating systems are given, furthermore a criterion for decision whether there exists a solution as well a fast algorithm for it and its implementation on computer are given too.

Zero-sum stochastic games with average payoffs: New optimality conditions

In this paper we study zero-sum stochastic games. The optimality criterion is the long-run expected average criterion, and the payoff function may have neither upper nor lower bounds. We give a new set of conditions for the existence of a value and a pair of optimal stationary strategies. Our conditions are slightly weaker than those in the previous literature, and some new sufficient conditions for the existence of a pair of optimal stationary strategies are imposed on the primitive data of the model. Our results are illustrated with a queueing system, for which our conditions are satisfied but some of the conditions in some previous literatures fail to hold.     

RELATIVELY WEAKLY COMPACT SETS IN THE DEN JOY SPACE

Some topological Properties of the completion H of the Denjoy space are studied. In particular sufficient conditions for a subsets of H be relatively compact and characterizations for a subsets of H be restively weakly compact are given.     

Fiducial intervals of restricted parameters and their applications

In practice, the unknown parameters are often restricted. This paper provides a general method for constructing the fiducial intervals of the restricted parameters. Applying the general method, the fiducial intervals are constructed for the location (scale) parameters and the difference (ratio) of two locations (scales) in a location (scale) family of distributions. The frequency properties of these intervals are verified. For a variance components model, the fiducial intervals for the three parameters of common interest are obtained. Their frequency properties are investigated theoretically and computationally.

In this paper, we prove the existence of a positive solution and a negative solution for a class of second order difference equations with dependence on the first order difference. Our proofs are based on the Mountain Pass Lemma and iterative methods.     

INTEGRABILITY AND LINEARIZABILITY FOR A CLASS OF CUBIC KOLMOGOROV SYSTEMS

The integrability and linearizability for a class of cubic Kolmogorov systems are studied. A recursive formula to compute the saddle quantities of the systems is deduced firstly, and integrable conditions for the systems are obtained. Then a recursive formula to compute the coefficients of the normal form for saddle points of the systems is also applied. Finally linearizable conditions of the origin for the systems are given. In this paper,we introduce a non-trivial generalization of ZI-rings-quasi ZI-rings.A ring R is called a quasi ZI-ring,if for any non-zero elements a,b ∈ R,ab = 0 implies that there exists a positive integer n such that an = 0 and anRbn = 0.The non-singularity and regularity of quasi ZI,GP-Vˊ-rings are studied.Some new characterizations of strong regular rings are obtained.These effectively extend some known results.

A *-ring is called *-clean if every element of the ring can be written as the sum of a projection and a unit. For an integer n ≥ 1, we call a *-ring R n-*-clean if for any a ∈ R,a = p + u1 + ··· + unwhere p is a projection and ui are units for all i. Basic properties of n-*-clean rings are considered, and a number of illustrative examples of 2-*-clean rings which are not *-clean are provided. In addition, extension properties of n-*-clean rings are discussed.
