Function spaces on local fields

We study the function spaces on local fields in this paper, such as Triebel B-type and F-type spaces, Holder type spaces, Sobolev type spaces, and so on, moreover, study the relationship between the p-type derivatives and the Holder type spaces. Our obtained results show that there exists quite difference between the functions defined on Euclidean spaces and local fields, respectively. Furthermore, many properties of functions defined on local fields motivate the new idea of solving some important topics on fractal analysis.     

KY FAN TYPE BEST APPROXIMATION THEOREM FOR A CLASS OF FACTORIZABLE MULTIFUNCTIONS

An existence result on Ky Fan type best approximation is proved. For this purpose, a class of factorizable multifunctions and the other one being a demicontinuous, relative almost quasi-convex, onto function on an approximately weakly compact, convex subset of Hausdorff locally convex topological vector space are used. As consequence, this result extends the best approximation results of Basha and Veeramani [8] and many others.     

Relative Superlinearity Implies Infinitely Many Solutions to Sturm-Liouville BVPs with Laplacian Type Operators

By the use of continuation theorems and the duality principle it＇s proved that for both homogeneous and nonhomogeneous Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems with Laplacian type operators, relative superlinearity implies the existence of infinitely many solutions under a few weakly added conditions.     

An Ohsawa-Takegoshi theorem on compact Khler manifolds

We prove two extension theorems of Ohsawa-Takegoshi type on compact Khler manifolds.In our proof,there are many complications arising from the regularization process of quasi-psh functions on compact Khler manifolds,and unfortunately we only obtain particular cases of the expected result.We remark that the two special cases we proved are natural,since they occur in many situations.We hope that the new techniques we develop here will allow us to obtain the general extension result of Ohsawa-Takegoshi type on compact Khler manifolds in a near future.     

INEQUALITY OF KORN‘S TYPE ON COMPACT SURFACES WITHOUT BOUNDARY

Inequalities of Korn's type on a surface with boundary have been proved in many papers using different techniques (see e.g. [4, 5, 11]). The author proves here an inequality of Korn's type on a compact surface without boundary. The idea is to use a finite number of maps for defining the surface and the inequality of Korn's type without boundary conditions for every map and to recast these in a general functional analysis setting about quotient spaces.     

The Multifractal Formalism for Measures,Review and Extension to Mixed Cases

The multifractal formalism for single measure is reviewed.Next,a mixed generalized multifractal formalism is introduced which extends the multifractal formalism of a single measure based on generalizations of the Hausdorff and packing measures to a vector of simultaneously many measures.Borel-Cantelli and Large deviations Theorems are extended to higher orders and thus applied for the validity of the new variant of the multifractal formalism for some special cases of multi-doubling type measures.     

Proper Holomorphic Maps from Domains in C2 with Transverse Circle Action

The authors consider proper holomorphic mappings between smoothly bounded pseudoconvex regions in complex 2-space,where the domain is of finite type and admits a transverse circle action.The main result is that the closure of each irreducible component of the branch locus of such a map intersects the boundary of the domain in the union of finitely many orbits of the group action.     

Infinitely Many Solutions for Schr?dinger–Choquard–Kirchhoff Equations Involving the Fractional p-Laplacian

In this article,we show the existence of infinitely many solutions for the fractional pLaplacian equations of Schr?dinger-Kirchhoff type equation ■ ,where(-△)_p~s is the fractional p-Laplacian operator,[u]_(s,p) is the Gagliardo p-seminorm,0 s 1 q p N/s,α∈(0,N),M and V are continuous and positive functions,and k(x) is a non-negative function in an appropriate Lebesgue space.Combining the concentration-compactness principle in fractional Sobolev space and Kajikiya's new version of the symmetric mountain pass lemma,we obtain the existence of infinitely many solutions which tend to zero for suitable positive parameters λ and β.     

THE STABILITY AND APPROXIMATION PROPERTIES OF RITZ-VOLTERRA PROJECTION AND APPLICATION,I

The purpose of this paper is to study the stability and approximation properties of Ritz-Volterra projection. Through constructing a new type of Green functions and making use of various properties and estimates related with the functions, we prove that the Ritz-Volterra projection defined on the finite-dimensional subspace S_h of H_o~1 possesses the W_p~1-stability and the optimal approxi mation properties in W_p~1 and L_p for 2≤p≤∞. Our results, in this paper, can be applied to the finite element approximations for many evolution equations such as parabolic and hyperbolic integrodifferential equations,Sobolevequations and visco-elasticity, etc.     

The Gaussian approximation for generalized Friedman’s urn model with heterogeneous and unbalanced updating

The Friedman’s urn model is a popular urn model which is widely used in many disciplines.In particular,it is extensively used in treatment allocation schemes in clinical trials.Its asymptotic properties have been studied by many researchers.In literature,it is usually assumed that the expected number of balls added at each stage is a constant in despite of what type of balls are selected,that is,the updating of the urn is assumed to be balanced.When it is not,the asymptotic property of the Friedman’s urn model is stated in the book of Hu and Rosenberger(2006) as one of open problems in the area of adaptive designs.In this paper,we show that both the urn composition process and the allocation proportion process can be approximated by a multi-dimensional Gaussian process almost surely for a general multi-color Friedman type urn model with heterogeneous and unbalanced updating.The Gaussian process is a solution of a stochastic differential equation.As an application,we obtain the asymptotic properties including the asymptotic normality and the exact law of the iterated logarithm.

In this paper, we study the growth of the solutions for 1st kind of differential equations of higher order in the unit disc. We give a sufficient condition for all solutions of second order linear differential equation to be inadmissible and a sufficient condition for all solutions of higher order linear differential equation to be of infinite order.
