In this paper, an eco-epidemiological model with a stage structure is considered. The asymptotical stability of the five equilibria, the existence of stability switches about positive equilibrium, is investigated. It is found that Hopf bifurcation occurs when the delay τ passes though a critical value. Some explicit formulae determining the stability and the direction of the Hopf bifurcation periodic solutions bifurcating from Hopf bifurcations are obtained by using the normal form theory and center manifold theory. Some numerical simulations for justifying the theoretical analysis are also provided. Finally, biological explanations and main conclusions are given.  相似文献

After the von Neumann's remark [10] about pathologies of unbounded symmetric operators and an abstract theorem about stability domain [9], we develope here a general theory allowing to construct semibounded restrictions of selfadjoint operators in explicit form. We apply this theory to quantum-mechanical momentum (position) operator to describe corresponding stability domains. Generalization to the case of measurable functions of these operators is considered. In conclusion we discuss spectral properties of self-adjoint extensions of constructed self-adjoint restrictions.  相似文献

In this paper, the stochastic asymptotical stability of stochastic impulsive differential equations is studied, and a comparison theory about the stochastic asymptotical stability of trivial solution is established. From the comparison theory, we can find out whether the stochastic impulsive differential system is stochastic asymptotically stable by studying the stability of a deterministic comparison system. As an application of this theory, we study the problem of chaos synchronization in Chua circuit using impulsive method. Finally, numerical simulation is employed to verify the feasibility of our method.  相似文献

A nonlinear stability result for a double-diffusive magnetized ferrofluid layer rotating about a vertical axis for stress-free boundaries is derived via generalized energy method. The mathematical emphasis is on how to control the nonlinear terms caused by magnetic body and inertia forces. The result is compared with the result obtained by linear instability theory. The critical magnetic thermal Rayleigh number given by energy theory is slightly less than those given by linear theory and thus indicates the existence of subcritical instability for ferrofluids. For non-ferrofluids, it is observed that the nonlinear critical stability thermal Rayleigh number coincides with that of linear critical stability thermal Rayleigh number. For lower values of magnetic parameters, this coincidence is immediately lost. The effect of magnetic parameter, M3, solute gradient, S1, and Taylor number, TA1, on subcritical instability region have been analyzed. We also demonstrate coupling between the buoyancy and magnetic forces in the nonlinear stability analysis.  相似文献

In this work, we propose a conjecture about the stability of the periodic solutions of the Ricker equation with periodic parameters, which goes beyond the existing theory, and for the special case of period-two parameters we analytically show the conjecture is true. For this case we show that the stability region in parameter space obtained from the conjecture is larger than a previously proposed stability region. The period-three case is investigated numerically and similar extensions are realized. This suggests that the current theory cited in this paper, while giving sufficient conditions for stability is far from optimal.  相似文献

A fundamental maxim for any theory of social behavior is that knowledge of the theory should not cause behavior that contradicts the theory's assertions. Although this maxim consistently has been heeded in the theory of noncooperative games, it largely has been ignored in solution theory for cooperative games. Solution theory, the central concern of this paper, seeks to identify a subset of the feasible outcomes of a cooperative game that are ‘stable’ results of competition among participants, each of whom attempts to bring about an outcome he favors, rather than to prescribe ‘fair’ outcomes that accord with a standard of equity. We show that learning by participants about the solution theory can cause the outcomes identified as stable by certain solution concepts to become unstable, and discover that an important distinction in this regard is whether the solution concept requires each element of the solution set to defend itself against alternatives rather than relying on other elements for its defense. Finally, we develop a concept of ‘solid’ solutions which have a special claim for stability.The unifying theme of this paper concerns the sense in which certain outcomes of a cooperative game may be regarded as stable, and the extent to which this stability requires that the players are ignorant of the theory. Although the issues raised here have implications for the theory of cooperative games in general, Section 1 establishes the focus of the analysis on collective decision games. Section 2 develops some general perspectives on solution theory which are used in Sections 3 and 4 to evaluate the Condorcet solution, the core, the robust proposals set, von Neumann- Morgenstern solutions and competitive solutions. Section 5 presents the concept of a solid solution and relates this idea to the solution concepts reviewed earlier. We demonstrate that in general a solution concept has a strong claim to stability only if it is solid. Finally, Section 6 concludes by indicating that the basic argument also can be applied to Aumann and Maschler's bargaining sets and, more generally, to solution theory for any cooperative game.  相似文献

This paper studies the stability and bifurcations of the relative equilibrium of the double spherical pendulum, which has the circle as its symmetry group. The example as well as others with nonabelian symmetry groups, such as the rigid body, illustrate some useful general theory about Lagrangian reduction. In this paper we make an attempt to study classes of models by using general logics. We do not believe that Lww is always the best logic for analyzing a class of models. Let K be a class of models and L a logic. The main assumptions we make about K and C are that K has the L-amalgamation property and, later in the paper, that K does not omit L-types. We show that, if modified suitably, most of the results of stability theory hold in this context. The main difference is that existentially closed models of K play the role that arbitrary models play in traditional stability theory. We prove e. g. a structure theorem for the class of existentially closed models of K assuming that K is a trivial superstable class with ndop.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the analysis of network approximation in the framework of approximation and regularization theory. It is shown that training neural networks and similar network approximation techniques are equivalent to least-squares collocation for a corresponding integral equation with mollified data.Results about convergence and convergence rates for exact data are derived based upon well-known convergence results about least-squares collocation. Finally, the stability properties with respect to errors in the data are examined and stability bounds are obtained, which yield rules for the choice of the number of network elements.  相似文献

In this paper, information about the instability of equilibrium solutions of a nonlinear family of localized reaction-diffusion equations in dimension one is provided. More precisely, explicit formulas to the equilibrium solutions are computed and, via analytic perturbation theory, the exact number of positive eigenvalues of the linear operator associated to the stability problem is analyzed. In addition, sufficient conditions for blow up of the solutions of the equation are also discussed.  相似文献
