In the paper [1], the author told us that he provides new proofs for the three classical theorems on real singularity theory: Mather's two theorms, and the splitting lemma. And in the paper [2], the author used this method to catastrophe theory.The journal "Mathematical Reviews" ever commented the above papers successively in Vol.57, No.3 (1979) and Vol.58, No.3 (1979).This paper points out that the proofs about Mather′s theorems Ⅰand Ⅱ in [1] are wrong, and then presents an counter-example to show that the corollary and conjecture are false.     

ON VECTOR VALUED ORLICZ SPACES

The theory of vector valued Orlicz spaces generated by generalized N-functions wasintroduced by M.S.Skaff(see[1,2]).But the proofs of two main theorems in [2] areincorrect.In this paper,the author exhibits an example to show the incorrectness,givesthe correct proofs and improves one of those theorems.     

ON ROTATED VECTOR FIELDS IN HIGHER-DIMENSIONAL SPACES

In this paper,the author introduces the concept of rotated vector fields in higher-dimensional spaces and proves some theorems which are similar to those in theory of rotatedvector fields in plane.Besides,some applications are given.     

MULTIPLE SOLUTICNS OF NONLINEAR FREDHOLM INTEGRAL EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACES

In this paper, the author uses the topological degree theory to investigate the multiple solutions of nonlinear Fredholm integral equations in Banach spaces. Two new theorems aro obtained and two examples are given.     

The Theory of Finite Models without Equal Sign

In this paper, it is the first time ever to suggest that we study the model theory of all finite structures and to put the equal sign in the same situtation as the other relations. Using formulas of infinite lengths we obtain new theorems for the preservation of model extensions, submodels, model homomorphisms and inverse homomorphisms. These kinds of theorems were discussed in Chang and Keisler＇s Model Theory, systematically for general models, but Gurevich obtained some different theorems in this direction for finite models. In our paper the old theorems manage to survive in the finite model theory. There are some differences between into homomorphisms and onto homomorphisms in preservation theorems too. We also study reduced models and minimum models. The characterization sentence of a model is given, which derives a general result for any theory T to be equivalent to a set of existential-universal sentences. Some results about completeness and model completeness are also given.     

FURTHER EXTENSIONS OF SOME TRUNCATED HECKE TYPE IDENTITIES

The main purpose of this paper is to generalize the study of the Hecke-Rogers type series,which are the extensions of truncated theorems obtained by Andrews,Merca,Wang and Yee.Our proofs rely heavily on the theory of Bailey pairs.     

UNIQUENESS RESULTS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS WHOSE DERIVATIVES SHARE FOUR SMALL FUNCTIONS

We prove an oscillation theorem of two meromorphic functions whose derivatives share four values IM. From this we obtain some uniqueness theorems, which improve the corresponding results given by Yang [16] and Qiu [10], and supplement results given by Nevanlinna [9] and Gundersen [3, 4]. Some examples are provided to show that the results in this paper are best possible.     

STATIONARY DISTRIBUTIONS OF INFINITE PARTICLE SYSTEMS WITH NONCOMPACT STATE SPACE.

This paper deals with the preblem of existence and uniqueness of the stationary distributions (abbr., s. d.'s) for the processes constructed in [4] .The main results are stated in § 1. For the reader's convenience we first restate the existence theorems (Theorem 1 and 2) of the processes given in [4]. Then two existence theorems (Theorem 3 and 4) and a uniqueness theorem (Theorem 5) for the s. d.'s of the processes are presented. The last result (Theorem 6), as an application of the previous ones, is about the Schlgl model which comes from nonequilibrium statisticali physics. The details of the proofs of Theorem 3—6 are given in § 2—4.     

Hom Functors from A Regular Category

This paper aims to show the exactness of Hom functors with domain a regular category and codomain the category set. I°In [Ⅰ], we put forward a problem: To what degree and to which categories with ferminal objects can HAA (homological algebra in abelian categories)be naturally extended? By "naturally"we mean that the generalized theory degenerate into the theory of HAA when the terminal objects are nullS.     

THE NUMBER OF LIMIT CYCLESOF THE PLANE AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS

In this paper the author discusses the vector fields satisfying the conditions (C1) and (C2) and proves some theorems for the number of limit cycles of the plane autonomous systems. Some applications of the theorems and lemmas in §1 are given in §2.

In this note, the author discusses the problem of best simultaneous approximation by function pairs. The existence and characterization theorems of the best simultaneous approximation in L₁ and L_∞ norms are obtained respectively, and some rezults of [ 1 ] are the special case of the theorems of the paper.     

CRITERIA FOR AN ANALYTIC FUNCTION BELONGING TO THE Q_K SPACES

The author gives a mild integral condition in a nondecreasing function K : [0, ∞) → [0, ∞), which is sufficient and the best possible to ensure that f is a Bloch function if and only if f belongs to QK, a Mbius-invariant space of functions analytic in the unit disk. Their contributions are slight improvements of known results, and the proofs presented here are independently developed. The corresponding results for meromorphic case are also given.     

Several applications of the theory of random conjugate spaces to measurability problems

The central purpose of this paper is to illustrate that combining the recently developed theory of random conjugate spaces and the deep theory of Banach spaces can, indeed, solve some difficult measurability problems which occur in the recent study of the Lebesgue (or more general, Orlicz)-Bochner function spaces as well as in a slightly different way in the study of the random functional analysis but for which the measurable selection theorems currently available are not applicable. It is important that this paper provides a new method of studying a large class of the measurability problems, namely first converting the measurability problems to the abstract existence problems in the random metric theory and then combining the random metric theory and the relative theory of classical spaces so that the measurability problems can be eventually solved. The new method is based on the deep development of the random metric theory as well as on the subtle combination of the random metric theory with classical space theory.

This paper discusses the interval estimations method for the parameters and other reliability characters of a three-poxameter Weibull distribution. According to the fiducial distrlbution theory of the parameter, the author presents the confidence intervals of the porameters, the reliability and the reliable life. An example mad simulation results are given. It is shown that the method presented in this paper is practicable and worth noticing.     

OSCILLATION OF SOLUTIONS TO SECOND ORDER NEUTRAL PARTIAL FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Some new oscillation criteria are established for a second order neutral partial functional differential equation.Assumptions in our theorems are less restrictive,also the proofs are simpler than those in Li and Cui [11].We remove some assumptions that are required for the related results in the previous papers,thus our results generalize and improve many known conclusions.     

PROPERTIES OF CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS AND EXISTENCE OF LIMIT CYCLES OF LI(?)NARD''''S EQUATION

In this paper, the author considers Lienard's equation, studies the properties of so-called characteristic functions and gives three theorems which ensure that the equation has at least one limit cycle. The theorems generlize Filippov's Theorem which is a repesentative result, Dragilev's Theorem, Theorem 1, 2 of[6], Theorem 9 of[8] and Theorems 1, 2 of[9] respectively.     

Shape-preserving bivariate polynomial approximation inC([−1,1]×[−1,1])

In this paper we construct bivariate polynomials attached to a bivariate function, that approximate with Jackson-type rate involving a bivariate Ditzian-Totik ω2-modulus of smoothness and preserve some natural kinds of bivariate monotonicity and convexity of function.The result extends that in univariate case-of D. Leviatan in [5-6], improves that in bivariate case of the author in [3] and in some special cases, that in bivariate case of G. Anastassiou in [1].     

The Roper-Suffridge extension operator and classes of biholomorphic mappings Dedicated to Professor Sheng GONG on the occasion of his 75th birthday

In this paper we give a survey about the Roper-Suffridge extension operator and the developments in the theory of univalent mappings in several variables to which it has led. We begin with the basic geometric properties (most of which now have a number of different proofs) and discuss relations with the theory of Loewner chains and generalizations and modifications of the operator, some of which are very recent.     

Stability of Cubic Functional Equation in Three Variables

In this paper, we prove a generalization of Hyers＇ theorem on the sta- bility of approximately additive mapping and a generalization of Badora＇s theorem on approximate ring homomorphism. We also obtain more general stability theorem, which gives stability theorems on Jordan and Lie homomorphisms. The proofs of the theorems in this paper are given following essentially the Hyers-Rassias approach to the stability of the functional equations connected with Ulam＇s problem.
