在数学解题教学中帮助学生认识"源"和"流"

解决数学问题,无疑是数学教学过程中的一个重要环节.教师怎样教授解题,学生怎样学习解题,是数学教学活动中的热点.但是教师对解决数学问题的认识和目的不同,则决定了解题教学的手段和过程不一样,对学生的影响也不一样.有的教师认为只要学生能听懂,掌握了这种类型,学生会做就行了,这是一种"结果教学".这种"结果教学"方式不利于学生思维能力的培养,长期如此进行解题教学,会使学生的思维僵化.但是如果能以培养学生的思维能力为出发点,借助于问题为载体,着眼于学生的思维能力发展,让学生体会到数学思想方法,掌握问题的"源与流"关系.则会收到事半功倍的效果,真正让学生学会解题,学会思考.     

“数学随笔”可以优化初中数学学习

美国中学生STA*)数学试题漫游

这一期我们的海外来风栏目,约请吴撷芳老师撰写了这篇介绍她在美国对中学生数学教育情况的点滴见闻,以增进我们国内的中学生朋友们对美国的相关情况的了解.因为有机会接触美藉华人子弟,从而对美国中学数学教学内容及考试要求有所了解,并对这些从小生长在美式教育环境下的华人孩子们的数学思维方法和水平有所了解.他们那里的老师不要求学生背九九乘法表,在家庭作业和考试中,提倡使用计算器,考试时试卷中90%都是选择题,而且学生都是使用验证的方法去进行选择,例如,求解二元一次联立方程组,他们很少用加减消元法或代入消元法去解的而直接从备选答案中一一代入验证,从大陆转学去美国中学插班的学生,数学成绩都可以跳班而成为班中的数学尖子,初二(美国8年级)的大陆孩子会用"十字相乘法"分解一元二次代数式会被视为"数学天才".中学生中,俄罗斯、中国、日本、韩国去的孩子们数学成绩均名列前矛.     

了解学生——改善数学课堂教学实效的切入点

1.问题的产生及现状 　　要切实提高数学课堂教学的实效性,就必须找到目前教学中所存在的问题并以此为切入点,不断改进教学方法,切实提高教学效果.美国著名的教育心理学家奥苏贝尔在<教育心理学:认知观>一书的扉页上写到:"假如让我全部教育心理学仅仅归纳为一条原理的话,那么我将一言蔽之:影响学习的唯一最重要的因素就是学生已经知道了什么,要探明这一点,并应据此进行教学."我选择将"了解学生"作为自己提高数学课堂教学的切入点.……

如何探索中学数学高效课堂,培养学生有意义学习,是中学数学教师永恒的话题.本文通过了解有意义学习理论的研究现状,对有意义学习理论的理解,结合新课程的理念,参考其他研究成果,探索出一种动态的数学课堂教学模式.通过模式实验,阐述动态的数学课堂教学模式对培养学生"认知"和"非认知"两个因素的规律探索.

有一位老师,在给学生讲完"地球是圆的"后,问学生"懂了吗?"学生齐答"懂了!"老师当即请学生画一幅地球草图,并要求每个人把自己画进去.结果,所有同学都把自己画在地球的上部.问他们"为什么?"又是齐答:"因为画在其他地方会掉下去".这就是学生的自我评价("懂了")与实际知识达

Economy: the absent centre of mathematics education

Social and political turns in mathematics education research have brought into the field postmodern theorisations that researchers have been using to dismantle traditional philosophies of mathematics, to posit mathematics in the sociocultural terrain, and to spell out the role mathematics has in school exclusion. Sociopolitical perspectives constitute a privileged field of research to address the influence of economy on mathematical achievement. However, instead of investigating the role of economy in students’ achievement, sociopolitical studies have been contributing to a disavowal of the economic dimension of school mathematics. This paper synthesises a set of investigations carried out by the author in the last 5 years endeavouring to posit mathematics education in the political and economic spectrum of our time. It takes advantage of the contemporary combination of Hegel’s dialectics, Lacanian psychoanalysis and Marx’s critique of political economy, carried out by Slavoj ?i?ek, to develop a critique of the way research within the so-called ‘sociopolitical turn’ deals with the issue of equity; and marks out the contours of mathematics education’s ideological belonging.     

A Materialist Analysis of Operational Research

Accounts of the development and practice of operational research have commonly stressed its timeless universality as a method for rational decision-making. In this paper operational research is seen as one element in the managerial response to problems of complexity and uncertainty within an economic system characterised by institutionalised conflict. Both the material and ideological functions of ‘management science’ in private and public enterprise are analysed, and characteristics are identified of an emergent ‘workers science’. Editor's Note The title of this paper contrasts the materialistic approach with the idealistic approach, and the content of the paper disowns the latter. Evidently there are alternative but overtly political terms for both adjectives.It would be stupid if O.R. were to ignore the political facts of life which play so great a part in the decisions and policies with which O.R. is concerned. But, as the authors acknowledge, other interpretations of history than those presented here are at least possible.Contributions offering alternative schemata, or based on other paradigms, are invited and will be given careful consideration.

本文探究了函数在一点处极限的教学设计.从实际案例出发,抽象出函数在一点处极限的数学表达形式.从数形结合角度,解释本节课的难点,即ε和δ的关系.通过给出函数在一点处极限的定义,探索和思考用定义进行计算的关键问题.最后,结合课程思政,将课程落脚到育人.     

Viable boundary critique

Issue-based problem situations can often be seen as conflicts that must be managed or resolved. Boundary critique theory, developed by Midgley as part of critical systems thinking, can be used to model conflicts. However, its utility can be enhanced when it is linked to the cybernetic theory of viable systems, therefore creating viable boundary critique analysis. Boundary critique can provide an ethical analysis that can explore the meanings and processes associated with conflicts. Viable boundary critique enables differentiable social pluralities to be better explored and provides a broader space for the consideration of political and ideological attributes of conflict that develop beyond Midgley's ethical analysis. It also provides for a new way of defining and measuring power. A number of the characteristics of boundary critique analysis are considered in the context of a case study relating to the recent Liverpool dock strike.
