Ship-mounted cranes are used to transfer cargo from large container ships to smaller lighters when deep-water ports are not available. The wave-induced motion of the crane ship can produce large pendulations of the cargo being hoisted and cause operations to be suspended. In this work, we show that it is possible to reduce these pendulations significantly by controlling the slew and luff angles of the boom. Such a control can be achieved with the heavy equipment that is already part of the crane so that retrofitting existing cranes would require a small effort. Moreover, the control is superimposed on the commands of the operator transparently. The successful control strategy is based on delayed feedback of the angles of the cargo-hoisting cable in and out of the plane of the boom and crane tower. Its effectiveness is demonstrated in a fully nonlinear three-dimensional computer simulation and in an experiment with a 1/24th-scale model of a T-ACS (The Auxiliary Crane Ship) crane mounted on a platform moving with three degrees of freedom. The results demonstrate that the pendulations can be significantly reduced, and therefore the range of sea conditions in which cargo-transfer operations can take place can be greatly expanded.  相似文献

On the basis of a comfort control system for ocean vessels, the control forces and moments in the form of lift forces from active wings are of important interest. In an ocean vessel comfort control system, active wings or fins are commonly used and constantly adjust their angles of attack to produce optimal sea-keeping conditions. The unsteady nature of the flow field around a wing, and the behaviour of the generated lift force must be understood in order to optimize the comfort control system. This paper presents experimental data on the flow past a pitching wing, paying particular attention to the lagging effects between the fluid dynamic lift force and the motion of the wing at large angles of attack as a function of peak angle of attack and reduced frequency of oscillation. The range of motion investigated has been chosen according to the applicability of a comfort control wing surface. Numerical data is also included to aid explanation on some of the witnessed phenomena.  相似文献

应用磁流变阻尼器对结构振动进行控制,采用最优控制原理设计了控制器,给出在地震激励下结构半主动控制的仿真计算。研究了时滞对结构振动半主动控制效果的影响。数值结果表明:本文设计的半主动控制策略可有效地减小结构的振动响应,时滞对磁流变半主动控制效果随着时滞的增大而变差,但时滞不会导致该反馈控制系统的失稳。  相似文献

Fractal modeling of the rugged crack geometry is considered for the stable and dynamic fracture mechanics characterizing the morphology of a fracture surface and the influence of its growth. It is shown that the fractal dimension has a strong influence on the rising of the R-curve in brittle materials. For the unstable Griffith–Mott’s approach or dynamical crack growth the fractal dimension has a strong influence on the velocity limit of the crack growth. It is also shown that the limit of crack velocity lowers with increasing surface ruggedness (higher fractal dimension D = 2 − H) explaining the intangibility of the Rayleigh wave velocity by the cracks.  相似文献

基于``准稳态'方法建立了一套复杂化学反应动力学模型简化方法和相应的软件SPARCK. 并以3种典型的碳氢燃料------甲烷、乙烯和庚烷为研究对象,从甲烷点火燃烧的GRI2.11详 细基元反应动力学模型出发简化得出了包含14个组分10步总包反应形式的简化化学反应动 力学模型,从乙烯燃烧的51组分365详细基元反应模型出发简化得出了包含20个组分16 步总包反应形式的简化化学反应动力学模型,从庚烷点火燃烧的160组分1540详细基元反 应模型出发简化得出了包含26个组分22步总包反应形式的简化化学反应动力学模型. 通过 对典型激波管试验的结果对比可以看出:得到的简化反应动力学模型能较为有效地再现 详细基元反应模型的反应机理,具有较高的计算精度. 在工程计算中有较好的应用前景.  相似文献

Stochastic systems with memory naturally appear in life science, economy, and finance. We take the modelling point of view of stochastic functional delay equations and we study these structures when the driving noises admit jumps. Our results concern existence and uniqueness of strong solutions, estimates for the moments and the fundamental tools of calculus, such as the Itô formula. We study the robustness of the solution to the change of noises. Specifically, we consider the noises with infinite activity jumps versus an adequately corrected Gaussian noise. The study is presented in two different frameworks: we work with random variables in infinite dimensions, where the values are considered either in an appropriate Lp-type space or in the space of càdlàg paths. The choice of the value space is crucial from the modelling point of view, as the different settings allow for the treatment of different models of memory or delay. Our techniques involve tools of infinite dimensional calculus and the stochastic calculus via regularisation.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce white noise, telegraph noise and time delay to the two-dimensional foraging arena population system describing the prey and predator abundance. The aim is to find out how the interactions between white noise, telegraph noise and time delay affect the dynamics of the population system. Firstly, the existence of a global positive solution is verified. Then the long-time properties including the stochastically ultimate boundedness, extinction and some other asymptotic pathwise estimation of this population system are studied.
