Hydrophobic nano silica sol(HNSS)was incorporated into polyvinylmethylsiloxane to prepare reinforced high- temperature vulcanized(HTV)silicone rubber.HTV silicone rubber filled with 40 phr HNSS showed excellent mechanical and optical properties:the tensile strength reached 11.7 MPa and the optical transmittance was higher than 90%.Possible reasons for reinforcement and transparency were discussed on the basis of the bound rubber percentage,total crosslink density,and SEM analysis.Our work suggests that H...  相似文献

Erwinia(E) gum is composed of glucose, fucose, galactose and glucuronic acid. The weight-average molecular weights Mw, number-average molecular weights Mn and intrinsic viscosities[η] of the four fractions and the unfractionated E gum in aqueous solutions at desired temperatures were studied by light scattering, membrane osmometry, size exclusion chromatography(SEC) and viscometry. The experimental results prove that E gum formed aggregates in the aqueous solution at 25 ℃ and the aggregates were broken gradually with increasing temperature. The dissociation of the aggregates of E gum in the aqueous solution started at 36 ℃, and was completed at around 90 ℃. The [η] values of E gum and its fractions are much higher than those of the conventional polymers with the similar molecular weights, and decrease with increasing NaCl concentration.  相似文献

Allyl terminated polyether was used to improve the hydrophilicity of addition-cured room temperature vulcanization silicone rubber. With the increasing of the polyether, both the hydrophilicity and water absorbed of the vulcanizates were increased. The mechanical properties were also improved by adding the polyether. The result showed that 1.5wt% of the polyether provided the silicone rubber with proper hydrophilicity.  相似文献

In terms of the classical theory in textbooks, the two components with phase separation in a binary polymer blend will, depending on their compatibility, have their respective Tg get closer or remain in their original values. According to the classical theory, the Tg of plastic component shall remain unchanged or move toward the lower Tg of rubber component in a rubber/plastic blend. However, ultra-fine full-vulcanized powdered rubber (UFPR) with a diameter of ca. 100 nm can simultaneously increase the toughness and the Tg of plastics, which is abnormal and is difficult to explain by classical theory. Peroxide-cured high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber was prepared by using allyl-capped carbosilane dendrimers, in which the core molecule is Si(CHaCH=CH2)4, as the cross-linker. It showed that this kind of allyl-capped carbosilane dendrimer improved the mechanical properties of silicone rubber.  相似文献

A novel EVA/unmodified nano-magnesium hydroxide(NMH)/silicone rubber ternary nanocomposite was prepared by using a special compound flame retardant of NMH and silicone rubber(CFR).The flammability of the ternary composite was studied by cone calorimeter test(CCT).Synergistic effect on flame retardancy was found between silicone rubber and NMH.EVA/CFR ternary nanocomposite showed the lowest peak heat release rate(PHRR)and mass loss rate (MLR)among the samples of virgin EVA,EVA composites.The synergistic flame retardancy of silicone rubber and NMH in EVA system is attributed to the enhanced char layers in the condensed phase that prevents the heat and mass transfer in the fire.  相似文献

DAMAGE OF SILICONE RUBBER INDUCED BY PROTON IRRADIATION   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this paper, the damage to methyl silicone rubber induced by irradiation with protons of 150 keV energy wasstudied. The surface morphology, tensile strength, Shore hardness, cross-linking density and glass transition temperaturewere examined. Positron annihilation lifetime spectrum analysis (PALS) was perfomed to reveal the damage mechanisms ofthe rubber. The results showed that tensile strength and Shore hardness of the rubber increased first and then decreased withincreasing irradiation fluence. The PALS characteristics τ_3 and I_3, as well as the free volume V_f, decreased with increasingirradiation fluence up to 10~(15) cm~(-2), and then increased slowly. It indicates that proton irradiation causes a decrease of freevolume in the methyl silicone rubber when the fluence is less than 10~(15)cm~(-2), while the free volume increases when thefluence is greater than 10~(15)cm~(-2). The results on cross-linking density indicate that the cross-linking induced by protonirradiation is dominant at smaller proton fluences, increasing the tensile strength and Shore hardness of the rubber, while thedegradation of rubber dominates at greater fluence, leading to a decrease of tensile strength and Shore hardness.  相似文献

Phase structure and crystallization behavior of polyethylene(PE) in its blends with cis-1,4-butadiene rubber(BR) at different blend ratios and sample preparation conditions were studied. The PE is finely dispersed in the BR matrix. For samples hot pressed at 145 °C, circular PE microdomains with randomly oriented PE lamellar aggregates were produced. The domain size and number increase with increasing PE content. When the PE content is over 10 wt%, most of the PE domains impinged each other. The separated PE domains are connected by PE stripes with parallel arranged lamellar aggregates. For samples hot pressed at 140 °C, elongated PE microdomains with oriented PE lamellar aggregates were obtained due to the shear flow. The crystallization of PE in the blends depends on the phase structure. Confined crystallization of PE occurs in small microdomains at relatively low temperature. With the increase of domain size, the crystallization ability of PE increases while the confined crystallization decreases.  相似文献

We have shown that some phenylethynylsilicon compounds are good cure crosslinkersof heat-curable silicone rubber(HCSR). In this paper the effects of 1, 1, 3, 3-tetramethyl-1, 3-diphenylethynyldisiloxane (TMDPDS) as a crosslinker on HCSR were studied. Thevulcanizates with fine mechanical properties could be obtained with suitable amounts ofTMDPDS. Sol fractions, and crosslinking density of vulcanizates and vulcanizationretardation effect of TMDPDS on hydrosilation curing silicone rubber were also discussed.  相似文献

A new approach was developed to prepare high-performance isobutylene-isoprene rubber/swollen organoclay nanocomposites by shear mixing.Compared with traditional melt compounding method,better dispersion of nanoclay layers in rubber matrix was verified through transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The nanocomposites also exhibit significantly improved mechanical properties and gas barrier property.As a mechanism,the molecules of organic swelling agent play a vital role in accelerating the diffusion and intercalation of the matrix molecules.  相似文献

The network formed by fillers has great influence on the mechanical properties of rubber materials. To understand the formation of network by carbon black,silica,and carbon black/silica mixing fillers in rubber and its influence on the properties of rubber,isoprene rubber/filler composites with different filler loadings are prepared and their micromorphology,rheological and tensile properties are investigated. It is found that the dispersion of fillers is better in rubber after cure than that in rubber before cure for all three rubber systems,and the filler size of silica is smaller than that of carbon black,but the aggregation is more severe in silica filled rubber system. In mixed filler system,the two fillers tend to aggregate separately, leading to the low modulus at small strain than that in single filler system. With the increase of the filler loading,the tensile strength increases first and then decreases,the elongation at break decreases,and the temperature rise in compression flexometer tests increases. The conformational behavior of amylose and the formation of helical inclusion complexesof amylose with a substrate, N-ethyl-4-hexadecyloxycarbonyl pyridinium iodide (1) -- asolvent-polarity probe, have been investigated in the DMSO--H_2O mixed-solvent system bymeans of surface tension, viscosity, UV, electrical conductance and ORD measurements. Thedecrease of the volume-fraction of DMSO, Φ_(DMSO) of the mixed-solvent system inducesconformational changes of the amylose from tight helices to loose and extended helicesinterrupted by short disordered regions. Such a transition is accompanied by abrupt changesof the viscosity and ORD curves. The mechanism of interaction between amylose and the substrate 1 also depends on thesolvent composition. When Φ_(DMSO) is larger than 0.70, the interaction of amylose with 1is apparently similar to those cases in which superhelices are formed between a macromo-lecule and some azo dyes; the latter are known to be bound exteriorly around the macro-molecular helices by oriented association. However, when Φ_(DMSO) begins to drop below0.70, the substrate molecules start to be bound in the helical cavities of the host and thussupramolecular inclusion complexes are formed. At Φ_(DMSO)<0.70, ORD shows a new nega-tive Cotton peak at a wavelength which coincides with the λ_(max) of 1 (276 nm). This implicatesinduced asymmetry for the achiral substrate 1 in a chiral microenvironment. Intrinsicdissociation constants (K_(d~*)) for the inclusion complexes can be obtained from the surface ten-sion- substrate concentration (σ-[1]) curves and the largest number of binding sites isfound to be below 30. The K_(d~*) values decrease with decreasing Φ_(DMSO), apparently inagreement with the results from conductance measurements. Presumably, the driving forcefor the transfer of the substrate molecules from the solvent-mixture bulk phase to the non-polar cavities of the host molecules comes from hydrophobic-lipophilic interactions.  相似文献

Self-vulcanizing blends of phenol hydroxy silicone rubber(PHSR)and fluoroelastomer(FPM)were prepared. A mixed system that includes poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and silica (SiO2) nanoparticles is prepared using two mixing methods. The interaction between PEO and the SiO2 nanoparticles in the dilute basic solution is investigated using the dynamic light scattering (DLS) and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) techniques. The DLS results show qualitatively that SiO2 nanoparticles interact with both random coils and aggregates of PEO through hydrogen bonding, and PEO-SiO2 complexes are formed. The degree of disaggregation of aggregates of PEO is readily adjusted by changing the concentration of SiO2 nanoparticle suspensions. Moreover, the ITC results also certify quantitatively the interaction between PEO and SiO2 nanoparticle, and give the evidence of formation of PEO-SiO2 complex.  相似文献

With the development of nanosciences, both localized surface plasmon resonance light scattering (LSPR-LS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) techniques have been widely used for quantitative purposes with high sensitivity. In this contribution, we make a comparison of the two light scattering techniques by employing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) aggregation induced by mercuric ions. It was found that citrate-stabilized AuNPs got aggregated in aqueous medium in the presence of mercuric ions through a chelation process, resulting in greatly enhanced LSPR-LS signals and increased hydrodynamic diameter. The enhanced LSPR-LS intensity ( I) is proportional to the concentration of mercuric ions in the range of 0.4-2.5 M following the linear regression equation of I = 84.7+516.4c, with the correlation coefficient of 0.983 (n = 6) and the limit of determination (3 ) about 0.10 M. On the other hand, the increased hydrodynamic diameter can be identified by the DLS signals only with a concentration of Hg 2+ in the range of 1.0-2.5 M, and a linear relationship between the average hydrodynamic diameters of the resulted aggregates and the concentration of Hg 2+ can be expressed as d = 6.16 + 45.9c with the correlation coefficient of 0.994. In such case, LSPR-LS signals were further applied to the selective determination of mercuric ions in lake water samples with high sensitivity and simple operation.  相似文献

This paper develops a conformational elasticity theory of chain molecules, which is based on three key points: (i) the molecular model is the rotational isomeric state (RIS) model; (ii) the conformational distribution function of a chain molecule is described by a function of two variables, the end-to-end distance of a chain conformation and the energy of the conformation; (iii) the rule of changes in the chain conformational states during deformation is that a number of chain conformations would vanish. The ideal deformation behavior calculated by the theory shows that the change in chain conformations is physically able to make the upward curvature of the stress-strain curve at the large-scale deformation of natural rubber. With the theory, different deformation behaviors between polymers with different chemical structures can be described, the energy term of the stress in the deformations can be predicted, and for natural rubber the fraction of the energy term is around 13%, coinciding with the experi  相似文献

A pyrolyzed ash containing about 50% carbon,named silicon carbon black(SiCB),was prepared by the anoxic pyrolysis of rice husk.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), Brunauer-Enunett-Teller(BET),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and universal material testing machine were used to analyze the stress-strain relationship,Mullins effect and static viscoelastic properties of SiCB-filled vulcanized natural rubber(NR),and SiCB was compared with a commercially available semi-reinforcing fumace(SRF) carbon black.The results show that the vulcanized natural rubber filled with SiCB had similar reinforcing properties to those of that filled with traditional SRF,but obvious differences between them exist in stress-strain properties and stress softening resistance.We tried to discuss the related phenomena with the aid of the modified two-layer theory. And it is successfully predicted and verified that SiCB has good compression resistance and obvious stress relaxation advantages in compression stress relaxation.  相似文献
