A new three dimensional convective-diffusive mathematical model for the transportation of macromolecules and water across the arterial wall is proposed based on the hypothesis of leaky junction-cell turnover. In contrast to previous one or two dimensional model, the present model considers for the first time the shape of the cell, nonuniform subendothelial pressure field and the special role of the internal elastic lamina (IEL). The three dimensional analytical solution of filtration of water and steady transport are obtained. The new theory have led to important physiological predictions, such as the concentration is higher and the flux of macromolecules is stronger in the low shear region than that in high shear region, etc..  相似文献

用计算机数值模拟的方法 ,对低密度脂蛋白 ( LDL)在动脉狭窄血管段内的质量传输进行了研究。计算结果表明 ,由于血管壁渗流的存在 ,LDL这样的脂质大分子会聚积在血管的内壁表面 ,发生一种工程上称为浓度极化的现象。LDL浓度在动脉狭窄口后的流动分离点出现峰值。该浓度峰值随雷诺数和动脉狭窄度的增加而呈逐渐下降的趋势。作者认为 ,该区域 LDL浓度的局部升高是引发动脉粥样硬化局部性和动脉狭窄产生的一个非常重要的原因。  相似文献

A numerical analysis of the steady/pulsatile flow and macromolecular (such as LDL and Albumin) transport in curved blood vessels was carried out. The computational results predict that the vortex of the secondary flow is time-dependent in the aortic arch. The concentration of macromolecule concentrates at the region of sharp curve, and the wall concentration at the outer part is higher than that at the inner part. Atherosclerosis and thrombosis are prone to develop in such regions with sharp flow.  相似文献

在脉动流条件下,用计算机数值模拟的方法对低密度脂蛋白(LDL)在动脉狭窄血管段内的质量传输进行了研究。计算结果表明.无论是在定常流还是在脉动流条件下.LDL都将聚积于血管狭窄处峰口附近的流动分离点,LDL壁面浓度在此处最高。在脉动流条件下,LDL在血流受扰动区的聚积高于定常流的值;而且.流动分离点处LDL壁面浓度峰值覆盖的区域也宽于定常流。本文所揭示出的LDL在血管狭窄处的质量传输现象可能在动脉粥样硬化的局部性和动脉狭窄的形成中起着很重要的作用。  相似文献

The mechanical response of the human arterial wall under the combined loading of inflation, axial extension, and torsion is examined within the framework of the large deformation hyper-elastic theory. The probability of the aneurysm formation is explained with the instability theory of structure, and the probability of its rupture is explained with the strength theory of material. Taking account of the residual stress and the smooth muscle activities, a two layer thick-walled circular cylindrical tube model with fiber-reinforced composite-based incompressible anisotropic hyper-elastic materials is employed to model the mechanical behavior of the arterial wall. The deformation curves and the stress distributions of the arterial wall are given under normal and abnormal conditions. The results of the deformation and the structure instability analysis show that the model can describe the uniform inflation deformation of the arterial wall under normal conditions, as well as formation and growth of an aneurysm under abnormal conditions such as the decreased stiffness of the elastic and collagen fibers. From the analysis of the stresses and the material strength, the rupture of an aneurysm may also be described by this model if the wall stress is larger than its strength.  相似文献

Hydraulic fracture models typically couple a fracture elasticity model with a geological reservoir model to forecast the rate of fluid leak-off from the propagating fracture. The most commonly used leak-off model is that originally specified by Carter, which involves the assumption that the fracture is embedded within an infinite homogenous porous medium where flow only occurs perpendicular to the fracture plane. The objectives of this paper are: (1) to show that assuming one-dimensional leak-off can lead to erroneous conclusions, (2) to present a robust numerical methodology for simulating three-dimensional leak-off from propagating hydraulic fractures, and (3) to present and compare a new analytical method based on assuming three-dimensional flow of an incompressible fluid through an incompressible porous formation from a circular planar fracture. Provided the fluid and formation compressibility can be ignored within the reservoir flow model, the three-dimensional leak-off from a circular planar fracture can be written in closed-form as a function, which depends linearly on fracture pressure and radial extent. This simple expression for leak-off can be easily coupled to a range of circular fracture elasticity models. As a comparison example, the Carter model, our new function and a three-dimensional numerical model of the full problem are coupled to the PK-radial fracture model. Comparison with the numerical model shows that our new function overestimates fracture growth during intermediate times but accurately predicts both the early and late-time asymptotic behavior. In contrast, the Carter model fails to replicate both the early and late-time asymptotic behavior. Our new function additionally improves on the Carter model by not requiring the evaluation of convolution integrals and allowing easy evaluation of both the spatial leakage flux distribution across the fracture face and the three-dimensional pressure distribution within the porous formation.  相似文献

In consideration of the mechanism for shear-stress-induced Ca^2+ influx via ATP(adenosine triphosphate)-gated ion channel P2X4 in vascular endothelial cells, a modified model is proposed to describe the shear-stress-induced Ca^2+ influx. It is affected both by the Ca^2+ gradient across the cell membrane and extracellular ATP concentration on the cell surface. Meanwhile, a new static ATP release model is constructed by using published experimental data. Combining the modified intracellular calcium dynamics model with the new ATP release model, we establish a nonlinear Ca^2+ dynamic system in vascular endothelial cells. The ATP-mediated calcium response in vascular endothelial cells subjected to shear stresses is analyzed by solving the governing equations of the integrated dynamic system. Numerical results show that the shear-stress-induced calcium response predicted by the proposed model is more consistent with the experimental observations than that predicted by existing models.  相似文献

The effects of small vibrations on a particle oscillating near a solid wall in a fluid cell, relevant to material processing such as crystal growth in space, have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. Assuming the boundary layer around the particle to be thin compared to the particle radius at high vibration frequencies, an inviscid fluid model was developed to predict the motion of a spherical particle placed near a wall of a rectangular liquid-filled cell subjected to a sinusoidal vibration. Under these conditions, a non-uniform pressure distribution around the particle results in an average pressure that gives rise to an attraction force. Theoretical expressions for the attraction force are derived for the particle vibrating normal to and parallel with the nearest cell wall. The magnitude of this attractive force has been verified experimentally by measuring the motion of a steel particle suspended in the fluid cell by a thin wire. Experiments performed at high frequencies showed that the mean particle position, when the particle is brought near a cell wall, shifts towards the same wall, and is dependent on the cell amplitude and frequency, particle and fluid densities.  相似文献

微循环是血液和组织之间发生物质交换的主要场所,它可以通过改变管径实现对血压、血流量的局部调节.血管内皮层对小动脉运动有重要的调节作用.本文基于连续介质假设,建立了内皮调节过程中主要活性物质在管壁中的扩散--反应动力学模型,并分析了非线性黏弹性血管的径向运动特性.利用该模型首先得到了内皮舒张因子一氧化氮(NO)、平滑肌细胞内钙离子(Ca2+)以及磷酸化肌球蛋白(actin-myosin complexes,AMC)在管壁内的的径向浓度分布;为分析内皮调节的动态过程,进一步对小动脉的被动舒张、血流量发生扰动时的管径响应分别进行了模拟.研究结果显示:当没有活性物质参与调节小动脉被动舒张时,管径无振荡发生;当血流量变化引起内皮调节时,内皮舒张因子NO浓度和管径均出现衰减振荡,振荡周期约60 s.分析认为内皮调节对壁面剪切力的反馈控制,可能是NO浓度和管径产生周期性振荡的原因.内皮调节过程呈现的频谱特征可以为血管内皮功能障碍的诊断提供帮助.  相似文献

A model of laminar flow of a highly concentrated suspension is proposed. The model includes the equation of motion for the mixture as a whole and the transport equation for the particle concentration, taking into account a phase slip velocity. The suspension is treated as a Newtonian fluid with an effective viscosity depending on the local particle concentration. The pressure of the solid phase induced by particle-particle interactions and the hydrodynamic drag force with account of the hindering effect are described using empirical formulas. The partial-slip boundary condition for the mixture velocity on the wall models the formation of a slip layer near the wall. The model is validated against experimental data for rotational Couette flow, a plane-channel flow with neutrally buoyant particles, and a fully developed flow with heavy particles in a horizontal pipe. Based on the comparison with the experimental data, it is shown that the model predicts well the dependence of the pressure difference on the mixture velocity and satisfactorily describes the dependence of the delivered particle concentration on the flow velocity.  相似文献

A new model is proposed for the entrainment rate by vortices across stratified interfaces. In the model, different entrainment regimes are distinguished by the conventional parameters Richardson, Reynolds, and Schmidt number as well as a new parameter, the “vortex persistence”. Vortex persistence is defined as the number of rotations a vortex makes during the time it moves its own diameter with respect to the interface. It is further proposed that the concept of vortex persistence is important whenever a vortex is near any kind of surface, either stratified or solid. The model is in accord with most field and laboratory observations in a variety of stratified and bounded flows, including measurements of wall heat transfer and vortex formation in starting jets.  相似文献

The effect of disturbed flow on the mass transfer from arterial surface to flowing blood was studied numerically,and the results were compared with that of our previous work.The arterial wall was assumed to be viscoelastic and the blood was assumed to be incompressible and non-Newtonian fluid,which is more close to human arterial system.Numerical results indicated that the mass transfer from the arterial surface to flowing blood in regions of disturbed flow is positively related with the wall shear rates and it is significantly enhanced in regions of disturbed flow with a local minimum around the reattachment point which is higher than the average value of the downstream.Therefore,it may be implied that the accumulation of cholesterol or lipids within atheromatous plaques is not caused by the reduced efflux of cholesterol or lipids,but by the infiltration of the LDL(low-density lipoprotein) from the flowing blood to the arterial wall.  相似文献

以颈动脉分岔血管为例,采用数值方法研究了窦部环缩狭窄之后的流场分布情况,并和正 常血管情况下的流场分布进行了比较. 结果表明,采用环缩方式给颈动脉分岔血管施加对称 的狭窄改变了颈动脉窦内流场,特别是壁面剪应力的分布规律. 低剪应力区出现在狭窄段之 后的窦内,并且沿整个周向均匀分布. 根据低剪应力和动脉粥样硬化的关系,指出: 若人为地给颈动脉窦内施加对称狭窄,则脂质沉积将在狭窄下游的窦内沿周向轴对称 发展. 为了更真实地反映颈动脉窦内的狭窄,建议根据动脉血管中的实际狭窄情况,采用非 对称的狭窄分布模式.  相似文献

This work deals with the effect of the riblets on the coherent structures near the wall. The emphasis is put on the genesis of the quasi-streamwise vortices in the presence of the riblets. The quasi-streamwise vortices regenerate by the tilting of wall normal vorticity induced by prevailing structures. This requires a mechanism which leads to a temporal streamwise dependence near the elongated flow structures and to a subsequent formation of new wall normal vorticity. It is suggested here that the action of existing quasi-streamwise vortices on the sidewalls of wall normal vorticity may create a local, streamwise dependent spanwise velocity and therefore, a secondary wall normal vorticity field. A preliminary analysis of the set-up and the time and space development of this secondary three-dimensional flow associated with the regeneration mechanism, is given. An attempt is made, in order to explain the drag reduction performed by the riblets through an intermittent model, based on the protrusion height. Logical estimates of the amount of drag reduction are obtained. The differences between the mechanism suggested here and those based on forced control experiments are also discussed.  相似文献

A new model for the heat transfer in turbulent pipe flow is presented based on a modified form of the mixing length theory developed by Cebeci [1] for boundary layer flow problems. The model predicts the velocity and temperature distributions and the Nusselt number for fluids with low, medium and high Prandtl numbers (Pr=.02 to 15) and fits the available experimental data very accurately for values of Reynolds number exceeding 104. Expressions for the eddy conductivity and for the turbulent Prandtl number are presented and shown to be dependent upon the Reynolds number, the Prandtl number, and the distance from the tube wall.  相似文献

本文通过检测在体轴向伸长比条件下血管段的压力-容积数据,利用应变能密度函数,求得血管壁周向应力沿壁厚的分布。文章的正常大鼠腹主动脉为例进行计算,结果发现,在生理压力作用下(例如p=13.3kPa),不考虑残余应力确实出现在血管内壁处的周向应力集中,血管内、外壁处的应力值之比可达15左右,而存在于实际动脉管中的残余应力会使血管壁中的周向应力沿壁厚的分布明显趋于均匀,血管处的周向应力之比差不多只有2左  相似文献
