Multi-channel soft x-ray (SX) detectors are applied to generate images of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) oscillation on the HT-7 tokamak, and the data from SX cameras are analysed by using the Fourier--Bessel harmonic reconstruction method and the singular value decomposition. The image reconstruction of SX emissivity is obtained on the assumption of plasma rigid rotation. One of the important phenomena in the HT-7 discharge is the transition from the sawtooth oscillations to the MHD oscillations when the plasma density grows higher. The MHD structure observed in the SX tomography is featured as follows: the magnetic surface of MHD structure is made up of the crescent-shaped ``hot core' and the circular ``cold bubble'. The structure of the magnetic surface is relatively stable. It rotates in the direction of the electron diamagnetic drift at a frequency being the oscillation frequency of the MHD oscillations.  相似文献

Zernicke polynomials method was first used in HT-7 tomography. Combining the characteristics of the soft X-ray imaging system in HT-7 tokamak, some of the technical consideration in applicating the tomography method are reported in this Letter. Through analyzing experimental soft X-ray data of a typical discharge with m=1 mode superimposed on sawtooth, it is shown that in the mid-mode and precursor phases, the central magnetic surface structure is composed of a hot core and a small magnetic island. In the crash phase, the hot core is obviously pushed outside and evolves into a crescent. The magnetic island is large. In addition, we compared the reconstructions obtained with Zernicke polynomials method and the Fourier-Bessel expansion method. The comparison result shows that as the magnetic island is large, Zernicke polynomials method seems more suitable to reconstruct the central plasma emissivity distribution on HT-7 tokamak. At last, through analyzing the oscillation amplitude and island size of the m=1 mode superimposed on sawtooth, it is thought that the large oscillation amplitude is due to large pressure gradient at the vicinity of inversion surface.  相似文献

本文采用二维层析摄影技术研究了HL-1装置几种锯齿崩溃的机制。在高密度欧姆放电中,观测到在类锯齿崩溃时,对流泡对中心热心的挤压。在纯欧姆放电中,观测到长达44ms的大锯齿,在崩溃时出现了强的对流和冷泡对等离子体柱的扰动,并可能发生与其它磁流体不稳定模式的耦合作用。在微波反锯齿振荡和相对应的软X射线反锯齿振荡的研究中,观察到了软X射线辐射截面从一个圆变成一个椭圆的现象  相似文献

利用HT-7装置上建立的多阵列软X射线诊断系统对等离子体放电中的锯齿不稳定性进行研究,发现锯齿的出现及其行为特点与等离子体电子密度Ne、电子温度Te、边界安全因子qα、壁条件等放电参数有密切关系。在低杂波电流驱动等离子体放电条件下,观察到m/n=1/1的中间模振荡出现在锯齿的上升阶段,并迅速发展、饱和、衰减,在锯齿塌陷或先兆振荡出现以前消失。分析和讨论了欧姆加热条件下和低杂波加热条件下的锯齿行为。  相似文献

A compound sawtooth with an incomplete relaxation was observed in EAST’s lower hybrid current drive(LHCD)plasma. The sub-crash phase of the compound sawtooth corresponds to a longer-lasting and slower-growing 1/1 mode.Based on the two-dimensional(2D) SXR tomography, the time-dependent 2D image of a compound sawtooth crash is obtained. The island produced during a resistive internal kink mode is observed in the all crash phases of the compound sawtooth. The destabilization of 1/1 long-lasting saturated 1/1 mode is related to the current driven by the LHCD near the q = 1 surface.  相似文献

Evidence for excitation of suprathermal electrons ( E(gamma) approximately 20-100 keV) during magnetic reconnection in the T-10 tokamak is presented through analysis of the x-ray measurements with enhanced spatial and time resolution. A toroidally viewing x-ray imaging system and a fast hard x-ray detector placed inside the tokamak vessel allow identification of bursts of the nonthermal x-ray radiation around X points of the m = 1 and m = 2 magnetic islands during the sawtooth crash and prior to the energy quench at the density limit disruption.  相似文献

The investigation of runaway electrons is expanded by different methods. The aim of this study is to show sawtooth oscillations of hard x-ray emission and with the help of sawtooth oscillations to obtain radial diffusion coefficient and magnetic fluctuations. In the same way, the hard x-ray spectral evaluation is compared in several time intervals and it is shown that during discharge,the energy of the runaway electrons is less than 200 keV. Also,for typical plasmas, population of runaway electrons is measured at seven time intervals of 5 ms and temporal evaluation of runaway electron mean energy. The sawtooth-like shape is observed in the hard x-ray range(10-1000 keV). By the sawtooth oscillation method, the RE diffusion coefficient in radial transport in the IR-T1 plasma is D_r~0.5 m~2 s~(-1). The magnetic field fluctuation due to magnetic diffusion D_m is given as br/Br~10~(-4).  相似文献

In magnetic configurations with two or three q=1 (with q being the safety factor) resonant surfaces in a tokamak plasma, resistive magnetohydrodynamic modes with poloidal mode numbers m much larger than 1 are found to be linearly unstable. It is found that these high-m double or triple tearing modes significantly enhance through nonlinear interactions the growth of the m=1 mode. This may account for the sudden onset of the internal resistive kink, i.e., the fast sawtooth trigger. Based on the subsequent reconnection dynamics that can proceed without formation of the m=1 islands, it is proposed that high-m triple tearing modes are a possible mechanism for precursor-free partial collapses during sawtooth oscillations.  相似文献

Small-scale quasicoherent oscillations of the x-ray emissivity and magnetic field perturbations are observed in the T-10 tokamak during abrupt growth of the m=2, n=1 magnetohydrodynamic modes at the density limit disruption. Analysis indicates a possible link between the small-scale oscillations and nonthermal electron beams induced around the X points of the m=2, n=1 magnetic island during reconnection of magnetic field lines at the disruption instability.  相似文献

In this paper,the singular value decomposition(SVD) method as a filter is applied before the tomographic inversion of soft-X-ray emission.Series of ’filtered’ signals including specific chronos and topos are obtained.(Here,chronos and topos are the decomposed spatial vectors and the decomposed temporal vectors,respectively).Given specific magnetic flux function with coupling m = 1 and m = 2 modes,the line-integrated soft-X-ray signals at all chords have been obtained.Then m = 1 and m = 2 modes have been identified by tomography of simulated ’filtered’ signals extracted by the SVD method.Finaly,using the experimental line-integrated soft-X-ray signals,m = 2 competent mode of complex magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) activities during internal soft disruption is observed.This result demonstrates that m = 2 mode plays an important role in internal disruption(Here,m is the poloidal mode number).  相似文献

The effect of toroidal rotation on the geodesic acoustic mode (GAM) in a tokamak is studied. It is shown that, in addition to a small frequency upshift of the ordinary GAM, another GAM, with much lower frequency, is induced by the rotation. The new GAM appears as a consequence of the nonuniform plasma density and pressure created by the centrifugal force on the magnetic surfaces. Both GAMs in a rotating plasma are shown to exist both as continuum modes with finite mode numbers m and n at the rational surfaces q=m/n as well as in the form of axisymmetric modes with m=n=0.  相似文献

Enhanced confinement regimes with quasihelical symmetry are reproducibly obtained in the modified reversed field pinch eXperiment (RFX)-mod by reducing the level of internal chaos through the combination of a smooth magnetic boundary (through a virtual shell scheme) and the oscillating poloidal current drive technique. The plasma moves from a chaotic multiple helicity towards a quasi-single-helicity regime with a magnetic island showing high temperature and soft x-ray emissivity. The chaos reduction involves also the plasma outside the island allowing for a global enhanced confinement with an improvement up to 50%.  相似文献

We report the observation of the scissors mode of a Bose-Einstein condensed gas of 87Rb atoms in a magnetic trap, which gives direct evidence of superfluidity in this system. The scissors mode of oscillation is excited by a sudden rotation of the anisotropic trapping potential. For a gas above T(c) (normal fluid) we detect the occurrence of oscillations at two frequencies, with the lower frequency corresponding to the rigid body value of the moment of inertia. Well below T(c) the condensate oscillates at a single frequency, without damping, as expected for a superfluid.  相似文献
