利用均匀相位掩模板制作线性啁啾光纤光栅   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:2  
理论上分析并从实验上验证了一种利用均匀相位掩模板写入啁啾光纤光栅的方法:将光纤弯曲,由于光纤离掩模板的距离不同从而使光纤光栅的周期轴向渐变,由此产生啁啾。分析了这种啁啾光纤光栅的谱特性和时延特性,同时也分析了由于光纤离掩模板的距离不同而引起的折射率调制变化给光纤光栅特性带来的影响。设计了一种石英曲面,利用其使光纤按照弯曲函数进行弯曲,然后进行紫外曝光制成了线性的啁啾光纤光栅。实验中制作的啁啾光纤光栅色散值为-1102 ps/nm,纹波为17ps。通过改变弯曲函数就可以实现利用一块均匀相位掩模板制作不同啁啾量的啁啾光纤光栅的目的,降低了啁啾光纤光栅的制作成本。  相似文献

采用紫外写入光纤Bragg光栅研究其应变传感特性。光纤光栅要借助外界应力引起轴向应变和折射率变化造成光栅Bragg反射波长移动。在温度20℃,利用波长在400 ̄1800nm范围色散的光谱仪并用InGaAsP/InP ELD作宽带光源,从实验上测量了光纤光栅的应变与Bragg反射波长间的关系,结果表明Bragg反波长移动与光纤光栅外界应力变化在155.4 ̄156.8nm波长范围呈线性。外界应力引起的  相似文献

从理论上推导了长周期光纤光栅在均匀温度场和非均匀温度场中透射谱的特性,并实验验证长周期光纤光栅在均匀温度场中和非均匀温度场的光谱特性。实验证明,随温度升高,光纤光栅谐振波中心向长波方向漂移,反之亦然,且漂移量与温度的变化量呈线性关系。在非均匀温度场中,当长周期光纤光栅的光栅两端温度差改变时,谐振波的3dB展宽呈线性递增趋势。  相似文献

从耦合模理论出发,推导了折射率直流分量调制函数与光纤Bragg光栅相位之间的关系式,分析了折射率直流分量调制对光纤Bragg光栅时延特性的影响.利用传输矩阵法进行了数值仿真,仿真结果与理论分析一致.在理论分析基础上,提出采用同一块均匀相位掩膜版灵活制作具有不同线性或非线性时延特性的啁啾光纤光栅的方法,可用于高速光通信系统中不同色散和色散斜率的补偿.  相似文献

长周期光纤光栅是不同于光纤Bragg光栅的一种光纤光栅器件 ,根据模式耦合理论 ,长周期光纤光栅表现为前向传播的纤芯导模和同向的各阶次包层模式之间的耦合。分析研究了长周期光纤光栅轴向的模场变化。忽略轴向的模式耦合以及包层模式之间的相互耦合作用 ,并认为折射率指数的调制只存在于纤芯中 ,建立了简化的长周期光纤光栅数学模型。对圆周对称轴向均匀型长周期光纤光栅谱特性进行了仿真 ,其结果与实验结果基本吻合 ,表明了简化的数学模型的合理性  相似文献

根据啁啾光纤光栅的温度可调谐性这一原理,提出通过控制啁啾光纤光栅的温度,改变其色散量,从而获得最小输出脉宽的方案,并通过实验验证了这一想法的可行性。利用啁啾光纤光栅作为啁啾脉冲放大(CPA)系统中的脉冲展宽器,用空间光栅对作为脉冲压缩器,通过压缩器为脉冲提供的负色散来补偿展宽器为脉冲引入的正色散。利用自相关仪测量压缩输出脉冲宽度随温度的变化情况,间接反映啁啾光纤光栅色散量随温度的变化情况。从实验所得数据可以得知,当温度从-7℃上升到50℃时,脉宽从1057fs先下降到764fs后又上升到910fs,共变化了439fs。在此过程中,随温度的上升,啁啾光纤光栅的色散由补偿不足变为过补偿。  相似文献

从原理上证明了一种基于非线性啁啾光纤光栅以及光纤光栅的温度特性的色散可调谐方案.实验证明在25.5℃的温度变化范围内,光纤光栅对1550.43nm波长的色散补偿量从759.1ps/nm上升到1659.9ps/nm,色散调谐范围达到900ps/nm,这个方案具有对补偿波长和特定补偿波长所需要的色散补偿量同时进行调谐的特点.  相似文献

在非均匀应变场的作用下,布拉格光纤光栅的主要参数有效折射率和光栅周期都会发生非均匀的变化,导致光纤光栅的反射光光谱结构发生变化。在光波导耦合模理论的基础上,建立了布拉格光纤光栅在非均匀应变场下反射光谱的分析数学模型,利用龙格 库塔法对其进行了数值求解。给出了几种典型应变场下的布拉格光纤光栅的反射光谱,并分析了它们的特点。  相似文献

利用普通单模光纤(SMF)与色散补偿光纤(DCF)分别具有正色散和负色散系数特性,实现光纤光栅阵列的高速高精度解调.系统采用全光纤结构,仅需发出单一高速光脉冲,即可根据反射光脉冲时延差同时获取各个光栅的波长与位置信息,大幅提高了光纤光栅解调速度;通过建立DCF-SMF双通道和色散差矫正模型,削弱了温度变化及色散值误差对系统解调精度的影响.实验表明,本方法解调速率可达1 MHz,解调过程受传感网络光纤及双通道温变影响较小,具有良好稳定性及高精度;5—75?C温度扰动实验中,传感网络传输光纤温变时系统解调均方差16.8 pm,DCF-SMF双通道受温度扰动时系统解调均方差为11.9 pm,恒温下系统长时间解调时均方差为6.4 pm;应力实验中,解调线性度可达0.9998,解调精度约为8.5 pm.  相似文献

Owing to the second-order fiber Bragg grating possessing narrower reflectivity bandwidth than first-order, an all-fiber spectroscopic filter with several second-order fiber Bragg gratings and optical fiber couplers in the visible region is designed to extract interest rotational Raman spectra. Considering the inference fringe visibility of inscribing fiber Bragg grating and the fiber core index dispersion effect, numerical simulations are made by the improved mathematical model based on an exponential photorefractive dynamic, and its simulative results show better agreement with the experimental data. We propose an all-fiber spectroscopic configuration, which could balance lidar sensitivity against signal-to-noise ratio for optimizing remote sensing performance by fiber Bragg gratings serially. Simulative results show that the thumb principle for fabricating second-order fiber Bragg grating is the increasing gratings length, and that this all-fiber spectroscope can achieve >70 dB suppression to elastic scattering and efficiently extract the rotational Raman signal for profiling atmospheric temperature.  相似文献

Intelligent control of dispersion management and tunable comb filtering in optical network appfications can be performed by using magneto-optic fiber Bragg gratings (MFBGs). When a nonuniform magnetic field is applied to the MFBG with a constant grating period, the resulting grating response is equivalent to that of a conventional chirped grating. Under a linearly nonuniform magnetic field along the grating, a linear dispersion is achieved in the grating bandgap and the maximal dispersion slope can come to 1260ps/nm2 for a l0-mm-long fiber grating at 1550nm window. Similarly, a Gaussian-apodizing sarnpled MFBG is also useful for magnetically tunable comb filtering, with potential application to clock recovery from return-to-zero optical signals and optical carrier tracking.  相似文献

采用多层介质的离散传输线模型表型光纤光栅响应特性,并利用数字信号处理方法对光纤光栅的相位特性进行了分析,研究了用于密集波分复用窄带滤波的变迹光纤光栅的带内色散特性,表明对称变迹光纤光栅的幅度响应与相位响应之间满足希尔伯特变换关系,幅度响应越接近理想的矩形,带内色散越大。并采用耦合模理论数值计算了对称变迹的光纤光栅的反射相位响应和带内群时延情况,验证了分析结果。  相似文献

本文提出并论证了一种光纤光栅高速解调的新方法, 利用色散补偿光纤的色散效应, 将光纤光栅的波长漂移信息转换成时域信息. 采用脉冲激光器作为光源, 仅需一个光脉冲可获取单根光纤上所有光纤光栅的反射光脉冲, 再根据各个光栅反射回光脉冲的延时变化即可实现波长的解调. 本方法可用于准分布光纤光栅传感网络解调, 系统采用全光纤结构, 无需波长扫描, 大大提高了解调速度. 本文搭建了测试系统进行实验验证, 对3个光纤光栅组成的准分布式传感网络进行了解调, 实验结果表明, 解调出的光纤光栅布喇格波长线性度好, 解调速度最高可达1 MHz, 采样数据取10次平均后解调线性度可达0.9969, 解调误差约为27.8 pm.  相似文献

A novel method of adjusting the dispersion of fiber Bragg grating is proposed using the non-uniform stress effect. By loading the axial stress on the fiber grating coated with non-uniform copper thin-film, the induced non-uniform stress effect can realize the tunable dispersion of grating. The non-uniform copper films are plated on the outer cladding of fiber grating and the thickness of the copper film gradually changes along the grating length. Numerical models are established to analyze the dynamic tunable characteristics of such grating when loading different axial stresses on it. The model is verified by experiments.  相似文献

Tunable dispersion has been implemented in various technology platforms, including fiber gratings, planar waveguides, thin film etalons, and bulk optic technologies. This paper will focus on fiber grating based tunable dispersion compensation, because fiber gratings are at present one of the best developed TDC technologies available. The paper is divided into three parts. In the first part we describe grating based TDC technologies and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. We focus on thermally tuned linearly chirped fiber gratings, as these have to date been the most successful grating technology for 40 Gbit/s. We also compare grating TDCs to two other prominent tunable dispersion technologies: thin film etalons and planar waveguide ring resonators. In the second section we describe the techniques used to fabricate high performance dispersion compensation gratings as well as the theory of the primary defect of fiber grating dispersion compensation: group delay ripple (GDR). In the third section we describe the telecom system related issues for tunable gratings, including characterization of grating performance, tunability requirements and results from actual system trials using tunable FBGs.  相似文献

By introducing a convergent lens in the phase mask setup and by tilting appropriately the fiber from the phase mask, a linearly chirped fiber grating with an appropriate chirp can be obtained conveniently. Using this method, two groups of fiber gratings, each of them is composed of 8 overlaped linearly chirped fiber gratings but with different center reflection wavelength separations (~0.8 nm and ~1.6 nm, respectively) are fabricated. Experimental results show that, the compensators based on the two groups of fiber gratings can be used to compensate for the dispersion of 8×2.5 Gb/s transmission over 100 km of standard single-mode fiber for multiple channels in optical time-division multiplexing (OTDM) and densed wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM).  相似文献

分析了光栅色散抖动对有线电视信号的影响,估计出落在信号50MHz-5550MHz范围内互调产物功率约占所有互调产物功率的10%-50%,为了抑制色散抖动幅度,光栅的折射率变化应该从初值零渐渐长到最大值。长度为10cm,包络为升余弦与tanh(4z)的光栅都能满足有线电视系统的要求,此外还发现,长光栅对应的抖动周期小,因此对信号的影响也小,具有升余弦包络的光栅比tanh(4z)光栅更能有效地抑制色散抖动。  相似文献
