A novel plasmonic polarization filter based on the diamond-shape photonic crystal fiber(PCF) is proposed. The resonant coupling characteristics of the PCF polarization filter are investigated by the full-vector finite-element method. By optimizing the geometric parameters of the PCF, when the fiber length is 5 mm, the polarization filter has a bandwidth of 990 nm and an extinction ratio(ER) of lower than -20 dB. Moreover, a single wavelength polarization filter can also be achieved, along with an ER of -279.78 dB at wavelength 1.55 μm. It is believed that the proposed PCF polarization filter will be very useful in laser and optical communication systems.  相似文献

In this paper,we propose an optical quantization scheme for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion that facilitates photonics integration.A segment of 10-m photonic crystal fiber with a high nonlinear coefficient of 62.8 W 1/km is utilized to realize large scale soliton self-frequency shift relevant to the power of the sampled optical signal.Furthermore,a 100-m dispersion-increasing fiber is used as the spectral compression module for further resolution enhancement.Simulation results show that 317-nm maximum wavelength shift is realized with 1550-nm initial wavelength and 6-bit quantization resolution is obtained with a subsequent spectral compression process.  相似文献

从耦合模理论出发,推导了折射率直流分量调制函数与光纤Bragg光栅相位之间的关系式,分析了折射率直流分量调制对光纤Bragg光栅时延特性的影响.利用传输矩阵法进行了数值仿真,仿真结果与理论分析一致.在理论分析基础上,提出采用同一块均匀相位掩膜版灵活制作具有不同线性或非线性时延特性的啁啾光纤光栅的方法,可用于高速光通信系统中不同色散和色散斜率的补偿.  相似文献

分别用980nm和830nm的半导体激光器作为泵浦源激发铋/铒共掺光纤,采用前向和背向泵浦方式分析放大的自发辐射谱特性.实验结果表明:随着泵浦功率的增大,荧光强度显著增强.利用980nm半导体激光器,采用前向泵浦方式可激发以1 142nm和1 536nm为中心的两个辐射带,以1 142nm为最高辐射峰的3dB带宽是141nm,以1 536nm为最高辐射峰的3dB带宽是29nm.利用830nm半导体激光器,采用前向泵浦方式可激发以1 421nm为中心的荧光谱,3dB带宽是447nm.980nm和830nm激光器分别前向泵浦铋/铒共掺光纤时,随着光纤长度的增加,荧光先增强后减弱;分别背向泵浦铋/铒共掺光纤时,随着光纤长度的增加,荧光强度先逐渐增强后保持稳定.在25~80℃的温度范围内,铋/铒共掺光纤的荧光强度几乎不受温度的影响.使用980nm和830nm泵浦源同时激发铋/铒共掺光纤,结果表明铋/铒共掺光纤的发光中心具有相对独立性,发光范围存在部分重叠.  相似文献

The resolution of the parallax image is inversely proportional to the view number in the horizontal direction for the traditional autostereoscopic display based on a parallax barrier. To balance the resolution in the vertical and horizontal directions, two parallax interleaved barriers are designed. The liquid crystal display panel provides the synthetic image with square pixel units, and the pixels in a unit are distributed to different horizontal views. Two parallax interleaved barriers work together to modulate pixels in vertical and horizontal directions. 3D display with uniform resolution and low crosstalk is demonstrated.  相似文献

相比较于液晶空间光调制器,数字微镜晶片(DMD)具有开关速度快、显示精度高、偏振不相关、衍射效率高和宽带调制等优势。研究利用DMD的衍射效应作为波长选择器,将其应用于可调谐光纤激光器中,理论推导这种二维DMD光栅的衍射效率与入射光角度,像素间距等物理量之间的定量关系,重点讨论了两种不同像素间距的0.7″和0.55″DMD在单像素因子和多像素干涉共同作用下的衍射级数和强度分布。研究结果表明:0.7″DMD在光强不显著为零且满足实验约束条件下,允许出现4个干涉极大值,但由于极大值位置均远离闪耀条件,因此光强相对较弱。0.55″DMD仅出现1个干涉极大值,且接近闪耀条件,因此光强和效率均明显高于0.7″DMD的情况。由此可见,在可调谐光纤激光器中,利用0.55″DMD光栅作为波长选择器更有利于减小衍射损耗,提高系统稳定性。  相似文献

阐述了光纤Bragg光栅化学传感的基本原理,推导并利用数值计算得出了腐蚀掉包层后的光纤Bragg光栅的纤芯有效折射率随外界折射率变化的关系.分析了温度对这种传感器造成的误差.研究表明,温度会造成光纤光栅变化和改变溶液折射率的大小,从而对传感器的测量造成影响.设计了一种温度补偿方案.实验分别研究了低浓度溶液和高浓度溶液中传感头两段不同光栅区的Bragg波长随温度的变化.结果表明:在清水中,传感头两段光栅区Bragg波长受到温度变化的影响基本相同,通过测量波长的差值可消除温度的影响;高浓度溶液中,传感头受温度影响造成的总波长漂移量约为未被腐蚀光栅区的波长漂移量的0.6,与理论的结果基本一致.传感头受温度影响造成的总波长漂移量可由未被腐蚀光栅区波长漂移量的大小得出,进而可消除温度对溶液传感的影响.  相似文献

Frequency-tunable microwave signal generation is proposed and experimentally demonstrated with a dual-wavelength single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) erbium-doped fiber ring laser based on a digital Opto-DMD processor and four-wave mixing (FWM) in a high-nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (PCF). The high-nonlinear PCF is employed for the generation of the FWM to obtain stable and uniform dual-wavelength oscillation. Two different short passive sub-ring cavities in the main ring cavity serve as mode filters to make SLM lasing. The two lasing wavelengths are electronically selected by loading different gratings on the Opto-DMD processor controlled with a computer. The wavelength spacing can be smartly adjusted from 0.165 nm to 1.08 nm within a tuning accuracy of 0.055 nm. Two microwave signals at 17.23 GHz and 27.47 GHz are achieved. The stability of the microwave signal is discussed. The system has the ability to generate a 137.36-GHz photonic millimeter signal at room temperature.  相似文献

Hollow-core negative curvature fibers (HC-NCFs) have become one of the research hotspots in the field of optical fiber because of their potential applications in the data and energy transmissions. In this work, a new kind of single-polarization single-mode HC-NCF with nested U-type cladding elements is proposed. To achieve the single-polarization single-mode transmission, we use two different silica tubes in thickness, which satisfy the resonance and anti-resonance conditions on the U-type cladding elements and the cladding tubes, respectively. Besides, the elliptical elements are introduced to achieve good single-mode performance. By studying the influences of the structure parameters on the propagation characteristics, the optimized structure parameters are obtained. The simulation results show that when the wavelength is fixed at 1550 nm, the single-polarization single-mode transmission is achieved, with the polarization extinction ratio of 25749 and minimum high-order mode extinction ratio of 174. Furthermore, the confinement loss is only 0.0015 dB/m.  相似文献

A stable three-channel dual-wavelength fiber ring laser is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The digital micromirror-device(DMD) processor can select and recirculate any dual waveband from the gain spectrum of the erbium-doped fiber at each channel. The uniform and stable dual-wavelength oscillation is obtained by a highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber, which causes two degenerate the four-wave-mixing processes. By loading different reproducibility diffraction gratings on the optoelectronic DMD processor, the laser can be operated stably in a three-channel dual-wavelength scheme at room temperature. The power fluctuation of each laser channel is less than ~0.02 d B.  相似文献
