For two integers l 0 and k ≥ 0,define C(l,k) to be the family of 2-edge connected graphs such that a graph G ∈ C(l,k) if and only if for every bond S-E(G) with |S| ≤ 3,each component of G-S has order at least(|V(G)|-k)/l.In this note we prove that if a 3-edge-connected simple graph G is in C(10,3),then G is supereulerian if and only if G cannot be contracted to the Petersen graph.Our result extends an earlier result in [Supereulerian graphs and Petersen graph.JCMCC 1991,9:79-89] by Chen.  相似文献

The induced path number ρ(G) of a graph G is defined as the minimum number of subsets into which the vertex set of G can be partitioned so that each subset induces a path.Broere et al.proved that if G is a graph of order n,then n~(1/2) ≤ρ(G) + ρ(■) ≤ [3n/2].In this paper,we characterize the graphs G for which ρ(G) + ρ(■) = [3n/2],improve the lower bound on ρ(G) + ρ(■) by one when n is the square of an odd integer,and determine a best possible upper bound for ρ(G) + ρ(■) when neither G nor ■ has isolated vertices.  相似文献

Let G be a nontrivial connected and vertex-colored graph. A subset X of the vertex set of G is called rainbow if any two vertices in X have distinct colors. The graph G is called rainbow vertex-disconnected if for any two vertices x and y of G, there exists a vertex subset S of G such that when x and y are nonadjacent, S is rainbow and x and y belong to different components of G-S; whereas when x and y are adjacent, S + x or S + y is rainbow and x and y belong to different components of(G-xy)-S. For a connected graph G, the rainbow vertex-disconnection number of G, denoted by rvd(G), is the minimum number of colors that are needed to make G rainbow vertexdisconnected. In this paper, we characterize all graphs of order n with rainbow vertex-disconnection number k for k ∈ {1, 2, n}, and determine the rainbow vertex-disconnection numbers of some special graphs. Moreover, we study the extremal problems on the number of edges of a connected graph G with order n and rvd(G) = k for given integers k and n with 1 ≤ k ≤ n.  相似文献

Let G be a simple connected graph with n vertices and m edges,Lo be the line graph of G and λ1(LG)≥λ2 (LG)≥...≥λm(LG) be the eigenvalues of the graph LG,.. In this paper, the range of eigenvalues of a line graph is considered. Some sharp upper bounds and sharp lower bounds of the eigenvalues of Lc. are obtained. In oarticular,it is oroved that-2cos(π/n)≤λn-1(LG)≤n-4 and λn(LG)=-2 if and only if G is bipartite.  相似文献

For a graph G =(V,E),a subset VS is a dominating set if every vertex in V is either in S or is adjacent to a vertex in S.The domination number γ(G) of G is the minimum order of a dominating set in G.A graph G is said to be domination vertex critical,if γ(G-v) γ(G) for any vertex v in G.A graph G is domination edge critical,if γ(G ∪ e) γ(G) for any edge e ∈/E(G).We call a graph G k-γ-vertex-critical(resp.k-γ-edge-critical) if it is domination vertex critical(resp.domination edge critical) and γ(G) = k.Ananchuen and Plummer posed the conjecture:Let G be a k-connected graph with the minimum degree at least k+1,where k 2 and k≡|V|(mod 2).If G is 3-γ-edge-critical and claw-free,then G is k-factor-critical.In this paper we present a proof to this conjecture,and we also discuss the properties such as connectivity and bicriticality in 3-γ-vertex-critical claw-free graph.  相似文献

Let G be a simple graph with n vertices.We denote by λ_i(G) the i-th largest eigenvalue of G.In this paper,several results are presented concerning bounds on the eigenvalues of G.In particular,it is shown that -1≤λ_2(G)≤(n-2)/2,and the left hand equality holds if and only if G is a complete graph with at least two vertices;the right hand equality holds if and only if n is even and G?2K_(n/2).  相似文献

I. Cahit calls a graph H-cordial if it is possible to label the edges with the numbers from the set{1,-1} in such a way that, for some k, at each vertex v the sum of the labels on the edges incident with v is either k or-k and the inequalities |v(k)-v(-k)| ≤ 1 and|e(1)-e(-1)| ≤ 1 are also satisfied. A graph G is called to be semi-H-cordial, if there exists a labeling f, such that for each vertex v, |f(v)| ≤ 1, and the inequalities |e_f(1)-e_f(-1)| ≤ 1 and |vf(1)-vf(-1)| ≤ 1 are also satisfied. An odd-degree(even-degree) graph is a graph that all of the vertex is odd(even) vertex. Three conclusions were proved:(1) An H-cordial graph G is either odd-degree graph or even-degree graph;(2) If G is an odd-degree graph, then G is H-cordial if and only if |E(G)| is even;(3) A graph G is semi-H-cordial if and only if |E(G)| is even and G has no Euler component with odd edges.  相似文献

Let G be a group. We consider the set cd(G)/{m}, where m ∈ cd(G). We define the graph △(G - m) whose vertex set is p(G - m), the set of primes dividing degrees in cd(G)/{m}. Let G be a graph with n(G) vertices and m(G) be its matching number.The nullity of G,denoted by η(G),is the multiplicity of the eigenvalue zero of adjacency matrix of G.It is well known that if G is a tree,then η(G) = n(G)-2m(G).Guo et al.[Jiming GUO,Weigen YAN,Yeongnan YEH.On the nullity and the matching number of unicyclic graphs.Linear Alg.Appl.,2009,431:1293 1301]proved that if G is a unicyclic graph,then η(G)equals n(G)-2m(G)-1,n(G)-2m(G),or n(G)-2m(G) +2.In this paper,we prove that if G is a bicyclic graph,then η(G) equals n(G)-2m(G),n(G)-2m(G)±1,n(G)-2m(G)±2or n(G)-2m(G) + 4.We also give a characterization of these six types of bicyclic graphs corresponding to each nullity.  相似文献

An invariant σ2(G) of a graph is defined as follows: σ2(G) := min{d(u) + d(v)|u, v ∈V(G),uv ∈ E(G),u ≠ v} is the minimum degree sum of nonadjacent vertices (when G is a complete graph, we define σ2(G) = ∞). Let k, s be integers with k ≥ 2 and s ≥ 4, G be a graph of order n sufficiently large compared with s and k. We show that if σ2(G) ≥ n + k- 1, then for any set of k independent vertices v1,..., vk, G has k vertex-disjoint cycles C1,..., Ck such that |Ci| ≤ s and vi ∈ V(Ci) for all 1 ≤ i ≤ k.

The cycle length distribution of a graph G of order n is a sequence (c1 (G),…, cn (G)), where ci (G) is the number of cycles of length i in G. In general, the graphs with cycle length distribution (c1(G) ,…,cn(G)) are not unique. In this paper, we obtain: Let s 〉 1 be an integer. (1) If r = 2s, n 〉 s(s - 1) + 2|A|, then Kn,n+r - A (A lohtain in E(Kn,n+r),|A| ≤ 3) is determined by its cycle length distribution; (2) If r = 2s + 1,n 〉 s^2 + 2|A|, Kn,n+r - A (A lohtain in E(Kn,n+r), |A| ≤3) is determined by its cycle length distribution.  相似文献

可迹图即为一个含有Hamilton路的图.令$N[v]=N(v)\cup\{v\}$, $J(u,v)=\{w\in N(u)\cap N(v):N(w)\subseteq N[u]\cup N[v]\}$.若图中任意距离为2的两点$u,v$满足$J(u,v)\neq \emptyset$,则称该图为半无爪图.令$\sigma_{k}(G)=\min\{\sum_{v\in S}d(v):S$为$G$中含有$k$个点的独立集\},其中$d(v)$表示图$G$中顶点$v$的度.本论文证明了若图$G$为一个阶数为$n$的连通半无爪图,且$\sigma_{3}(G)\geq {n-2}$,则图$G$为可迹图; 文中给出一个图例,说明上述结果中的界是下确界; 此外,我们证明了若图$G$为一个阶数为$n$的连通半无爪图,且$\sigma_{2}(G)\geq \frac{2({n-2})}{3}$,则该图为可迹图.  相似文献

For i ∈ Z2, let vf(i) = |{v ∈ V(G) : f(v) = i}| and ef(i) = |{e ∈ E(G) : f*(e) =i}|. A labeling f of a graph G is said to be friendly if |vf(0)- vf(1)| ≤ 1. The friendly index set of the graph G, denoted FI(G), is defined as {|ef(0)- ef(1)|: the vertex labeling f is friendly}. This is a generalization of graph cordiality. Let G be a simple graph.An IE-total coloring f of G refers to a coloring of the vertices and edges of G so that no two adjacent vertices receive the same color.Let C(u) be the set of colors of vertex u and edges incident to u under f.For an IE-total coloring f of G using k colors,if C(u)=C(v) for any two different vertices u and v of V(G),then f is called a k-vertex-distinguishing IE-total-coloring of G,or a k-VDIET coloring of G for short.The minimum number of colors required for a VDIET coloring of G is denoted by χ ie vt (G),and it is called the VDIET chromatic number of G.We will give VDIET chromatic numbers for complete bipartite graph K4,n (n≥4),K n,n (5≤ n ≤ 21) in this article.  相似文献

Let G be a simple graph. We first show that ■, where δiand di denote the i-th signless Laplacian eigenvalue and the i-th degree of vertex in G, respectively.Suppose G is a simple and connected graph, then some inequalities on the distance signless Laplacian eigenvalues are obtained by deleting some vertices and some edges from G. In addition, for the distance signless Laplacian spectral radius ρQ(G), we determine the extremal graphs with the minimum ρQ(G) among the trees with given diameter, the unicyclic and bicyclic graphs with given girth, respectively.  相似文献
