Bohr Inequality for Multiple Op erators

An absolute value equation is established for linear combinations of two operators. When the parameters take special values, the parallelogram law of operator type is given. In addition, the operator equation in literature [3] and its equivalent deformation are obtained. Based on the equivalent deformation of the operator equation and using the properties of conjugate number as well as the operator, an absolute value identity of multiple operators is given by means of mathematical induction. As Corollaries, Bohr inequalities are extended to multiple operators and some related inequalities are reduced to, such as inequalities in [2] and [3].     

Generalization of the main equation of differential game theory

We consider feedback, two-person, zero-sum differential games. We obtain two inequalities for the directional derivatives of the nonsmooth value function. We show that these inequalities, together with the boundary conditions, constitute necessary and sufficient conditions which the value function must satisfy. In the region where the value function is differentiable, the inequalities become the well-known main equation of differential game theory (Isaacs-Bellman equation). The results obtained here may be useful in the approximation of the value function by piecewise smooth splines and also in the classification of singular surfaces.The author would like to thank Academician N. Strong （Weak） Exact Controllability and Strong （Weak） Exact Observability for Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

In this paper,the authors define the strong （weak） exact boundary controllability and the strong （weak） exact boundary observability for first order quasilinear hyperbolic systems,and study their properties and the relationship between them.     

Mixing mixed-integer inequalities

Mixed-integer rounding (MIR) inequalities play a central role in the development of strong cutting planes for mixed-integer programs. In this paper, we investigate how known MIR inequalities can be combined in order to generate new strong valid inequalities.?Given a mixed-integer region S and a collection of valid “base” mixed-integer inequalities, we develop a procedure for generating new valid inequalities for S. The starting point of our procedure is to consider the MIR inequalities related with the base inequalities. For any subset of these MIR inequalities, we generate two new inequalities by combining or “mixing” them. We show that the new inequalities are strong in the sense that they fully describe the convex hull of a special mixed-integer region associated with the base inequalities.?We discuss how the mixing procedure can be used to obtain new classes of strong valid inequalities for various mixed-integer programming problems. In particular, we present examples for production planning, capacitated facility location, capacitated network design, and multiple knapsack problems. We also present preliminary computational results using the mixing procedure to tighten the formulation of some difficult integer programs. Finally we study some extensions of this mixing procedure. On the Bohr inequality of operators

This paper is focused on the operator inequalities of the Bohr type. We will give a new and transparent proof for the operator Bohr inequality through an absolute value operator identity, show some related operator inequalities by means of 2×2 (block) operator matrices, and finally we will present a generalization of the operator Bohr inequality for multiple operators.

讨论一类具有双参数的非线性椭圆型方程边值问题. 引入多重尺度变量, 构造问题的形式渐近解. 利用微分不等式理论, 证明边值问题渐近解的存在性和一致有效性. 由解的结构指出, 在两参数一定的情况下,相应问题的解只具有一个边界层.     

高阶拟线性椭圆型方程奇摄动问题

本文利用微分不等式和多重尺度，研究了一个高阶椭圆型偏微分方程摄动边值问题，并得到了一致有效的渐近展开式。

A steplike contrast structure in a singularly perturbed system of elliptic equations

A singularly perturbed boundary value problem for a system of elliptic equations in a two-dimensional region is considered. The asymptotics and existence of a solution with an internal transition layer are studied. The asymptotics is justified by the method of differential inequalities.
