The purpose of this paper is to investigate the stability and asymptotic behav-ior of the time-dependent solutions to a linear parabolic equation with nonlinear boundarycondition in relation to their corresponding steady state solutions. The Cauchy problem of the generalized Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin-Ono equation is considered, and low regularity and limit behavior of the solutions are obtained. For k = 1, local well- posedness is obtained for data in H^s(R)(s 〉 -3/4). For k = 2, local result for data in H^S(R)(s 〉1/4) is obtained. For k = 3, local result for data in H^S(R)(s 〉 -1/6) is obtained. Moreover, the solutions of generalized Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin-Ono equation converge to the solutions of KdV equation if the term of Benjamin-Ono equation tends to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, the Hermitian positive definite solutions of the nonlinear matrix equation X^s - A^*X^-tA = Q are studied, where Q is a Hermitian positive definite matrix, s and t are positive integers. The existence of a Hermitian positive definite solution is proved. A sufficient condition for the equation to have a unique Hermitian positive definite solution is given. Some estimates of the Hermitian positive definite solutions are obtained. Moreover, two perturbation bounds for the Hermitian positive definite solutions are derived and the results are illustrated by some numerical examples.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a differential-difference equation associated with discrete 3 × 3 matrix spectral problem. Based on gauge transformation of the spectral problm, Darboux transformation of the differential-difference equation is given. In order to solve the differential-difference equation, a systematic algebraic algorithm is given. In this paper existence of local analytic solutions of a polynomial-like iterative functional equation is studied. As well as in previous work, we reduce this problem with the SchrSder transformation to finding analytic solutions of a functional equation without iteration of the unknown function f. For technical reasons, in previous work the constant α given in the Schroder transformation, i.e., the eigenvalue of the linearized f at its fixed point O, is required to fulfill that α is off the unit circle S^1 or lies on the circle with the Diophantine condition. In this paper, we obtain results of analytic solutions in the case of α at resonance, i.e., at a root of the unity and the case of α near resonance under the Brjuno condition.  相似文献

In this paper, the sensitivity of the solution for a class of quadratic matrix equation which arises in the analysis of structural systems and vibration problems is discussed. With Brouwer fixed piont theory, the perturbation of the quadratic matrix equation is analyzed and two computational perturbation bounds are derived. Then a Rice condition number of some kind of solutions is given using the analytic expansion method. Two examples are presented in the last part.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the global asymptotic stability, the periodicity nature and the boundedness character of the positive solutions of the difference equation x n+1=(α+β x n?k )/(γ?x n ) where n=0,1,2,… and k∈{1,2,…}. The parameters α≥0, γ,β>0 and the initial conditions x ?k , x ?k+1,…,x ?1,x 0 are real positive numbers. We show that the positive equilibrium point of this equation is a global attractor with a basin that depends on certain conditions posed on the coefficients α,β,γ.  相似文献

We present the bi-Hamiltonian structure and Lax pair of the equation ρt = bux+(1/2)[(u 2 −ux 2 )ρ]x, where ρ = u − uxx and b = const, which guarantees its integrability in the Lax pair sense. We study nonsmooth soliton solutions of this equation and show that under the vanishing boundary condition u → 0 at the space and time infinities, the equation has both “W/M-shape” peaked soliton (peakon) and cusped soliton (cuspon) solutions.  相似文献

Methionine complexes of cadmium in 25 and 50 per cent aqueous mixtures of ethyl and methyl alcohol and dioxan have been studied. The half-wave potentials measured in both the alcohols were the same and the reduction was reversible. Three complex species withβ 1=1·0×104,β 2=1·1×107 andβ 3=1·2×109 were found in 25 per cent alcohol while four complexes withβ 1=3·0×104,β 2=4·3×107,β 3=4·0×109 andβ 4=1·6×1011 were observed in 50 per cent solutions. In the case of dioxan, the reduction was quasi-reversible (k s=1·0×10?3 cm sec?1) in 25 per cent and irreversible (k s=2·0×10?4 cm sec?1) in 50 per cent solutions. The stability constants, evaluated using the formal potentials, wereβ 1=7·0×103,β 2-3·9×105;β 2=3·9×108 andβ 4=3·4×1010 in 25 per cent dioxan andβ 1=1·5×104,β 2=3·4×107.β 3=7·5×109 andβ 4=9·0×1011 in 50 per cent solutions.  相似文献

Special exact solutions of the K(2, 2) equation, ut + (u2)x + (u2)xxx = 0, are investigated by employing the qualitative theory of differential equations. Our procedure shows that the K(2, 2) equation either has loop soliton, cusped soliton and smooth soliton solutions when sitting on the non-zero constant pedestal limx→±∞u = A ≠ 0, or possesses compacton solutions only when limx→±∞u = 0. Mathematical analysis and numerical simulations are provided for these soliton solutions of the K(2, 2) equation.  相似文献

In this paper we study dynamics of solitons in the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) with an external potential in all dimensions except for 2. For a certain class of nonlinearities such an equation has solutions which are periodic in time and exponentially decaying in space, centered near different critical points of the potential. We call those solutions which are centered near the minima of the potential and which minimize energy restricted to L2-unit sphere, trapped solitons or just solitons. In this paper we prove, under certain conditions on the potentials and initial conditions, that trapped solitons are asymptotically stable. Moreover, if an initial condition is close to a trapped soliton then the solution looks like a moving soliton relaxing to its equilibrium position. The dynamical law of motion of the soliton (i.e. effective equations of motion for the soliton's center and momentum) is close to Newton's equation but with a dissipative term due to radiation of the energy to infinity.  相似文献

In this article, we study the global and asymptotic properties of the solutions of the difference equation $$x_{n+1}=Ax_{n}+Bx_{n-k}+(\beta x_{n}+\gamma x_{n-k})/(Cx_{n}+Dx_{n-k}),\quad n=0,1,2,\ldots,$$ where the initial conditions x ?k ,…,x ?1,x 0 are arbitrary positive real numbers and the coefficients A,B,C,D,β and γ are positive constants, while k is a positive integer number. In this paper, we consider a sequence of multibubble solutions uk of the equation (0.1) where h is a C2,β positive function in a compact Riemann surface M, and ρk is a constant satisfying limk→+∞ ρk = 8mπ for some positive integer m ≥ 1. We prove among other things that where pk,j are centers of the bubbles of uk and λk,j are the local maxima of uk after adding a constant. This yields a uniform bound of solutions as ρk converges to 8mπ from below provided that . It generalizes a previous result, due to Ding, Jost, Li, and Wang [18] and Nolasco and Tarantello [31], hich says that any sequence of minimizers uk is uniformly bounded if ρk > 8π and h satisfies for any maximum point p of the sum of 2 log h and the regular part of the Green function, where K is the Gaussian curvature of M. The analytic work of this paper is the first step toward computing the topological degree of ( 0.1 ), which was initiated by Li [24]. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

For 1≦k≦2 and a sequence $\gamma :={\{\gamma(n)\}}_{n=1}^{\infty}$ that is quasi β-power monotone decreasing with ${\beta>1-\frac{1}{k}}$ , we prove the |A,γ| k summability of an orthogonal series, where A is either a regular or Hausdorff matrix. For ${\beta>-\frac{3}{4}}$ , we give a necessary and sufficient condition for |A,γ| k summability, where A is Hausdorff matrix. Our sufficient condition for ${\beta>-\frac{3}{4}}$ is weaker than that of Kantawala [1], ${\beta>-\frac{1}{k}}$ for |E,q,γ| k summability; and of Leindler [4], β>?1 for |C,α,γ| k , ${\alpha<\frac{1}{4}}$ . Also, our result generalizes the result of Spevakov [6] for |E,q,1|1 summability.  相似文献
