Initial boundary value problems for nonlinear parabolic functional differential equations are transformed by discretization in space variables into systems of ordinary functional differential equations. A comparison theorem for differential difference inequalities is proved. Sufficient conditions for the convergence of the numerical method of lines are given. An explicit Euler method is proposed for the numerical solution of systems thus obtained. This leads to difference scheme for the original problem. This paper introduces the concepts of tolerable solution set, united solution set, and controllable solution set for interval-valued
fuzzy relational equations. Given a continuous s-norm, it is shown that each of the three types of the solution sets of interval-valued
fuzzy relational equations with a min-s-norm composition, if nonempty, is composed of one minimum solution and a finite number
of maximal solutions. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions are given. Computational procedures
based on the constructive proofs are proposed to generate the complete solution sets. An example is given to illustrate the
proposed procedures.

An optimization model with one linear objective function and fuzzy relation equation constraints was presented by Fang and
Li (1999) as well as an efficient solution procedure was designed by them for solving such a problem. A more general case
of the problem, an optimization model with one linear objective function and finitely many constraints of fuzzy relation inequalities,
is investigated in this paper. A new approach for solving this problem is proposed based on a necessary condition of optimality
given in the paper. Compared with the known methods, the proposed algorithm shrinks the searching region and hence obtains
an optimal solution fast. For some special cases, the proposed algorithm reaches an optimal solution very fast since there
is only one minimum solution in the shrunk searching region. At the end of the paper, two numerical examples are given to
illustrate this difference between the proposed algorithm and the known ones. 相似文献

An minimization problem with a linear objective function subject to fuzzy relation equations using max-product composition has been considered by Loetamonphong and Fang. They first reduced the problem by exploring the special structure of the problem and then proposed a branch-and-bound method to solve this 0-1 integer programming problem. In this paper, we provide a necessary condition for an optimal solution of the minimization problems in terms of one maximum solution derived from the fuzzy relation equations. This necessary condition enables us to derive efficient procedures for solving such optimization problems. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate our procedures. 相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of a class of hemivariational inequalities for the time-dependent Navier–Stokes equations, including both boundary hemivariational inequalities and domain hemivariational inequalities. The hemivariational inequalities are analyzed in the framework of an abstract hemivariational inequality. Solution existence for the abstract hemivariational inequality is explored through a limiting procedure for a temporally semi-discrete scheme based on the backward Euler difference of the time derivative, known as the Rothe method. It is shown that solutions of the Rothe scheme exist, they contain a weakly convergent subsequence as the time step-size approaches zero, and any weak limit of the solution sequence is a solution of the abstract hemivariational inequality. It is further shown that under certain conditions, a solution of the abstract hemivariational inequality is unique and the solution of the abstract hemivariational inequality depends continuously on the problem data. The results on the abstract hemivariational inequality are applied to hemivariational inequalities associated with the time-dependent Navier–Stokes equations. 相似文献
