Stochastic Fractional Anderson Models with Fractional Noises

The authors are concerned with a class of one-dimensional stochastic Anderson models with double-parameter fractional noises, whose differential operators are fractional. A unique solution for the model in some appropriate Hilbert space is constructed. Moreover, the Lyapunov exponent of the solution is estimated, and its HSlder continuity is studied. On the other hand, the absolute continuity of the solution is also discussed.     

Feller property and exponential ergodicity of diffusion processes with state-dependent switching

In this paper we consider the Feller property and the exponential ergodicity for general diffusion processes with state-dependent switching. We prove their Feller continuity by means of intro- ducing some auxiliary processes and by making use of the Radon-Nikodym derivatives. Furthermore, we also prove their strong Feller continuity and their exponential ergodicity under some reasonable conditions.     

Effective continuities on effective topological spaces

We extend a notion of effective continuity due to Mori, Tsujii and Yasugi to real-valued functions on effective topological spaces. Under reasonable assumptions, Type-2 computability of these functions is characterized as sequential computability and the effective continuity. We investigate effective uniform topological spaces with a separating set, and adapt the above result under some assumptions. It is also proved that effective local uniform continuity implies effective continuity under the same assumptions.     

On the stability of diffusion processes with state-dependent switching

In this paper we consider the stability for diffusion processes with state-dependent switching. We first prove their Feller continuity by the coupling methods. Furthermore, we also prove their strong Feller continuity and their exponential ergodicity under some reasonable conditions. Finally, we append a very brief discussion about the regularity of these processes.     

The Regularity for Solutions of Variational Inequalities

The regularity for solutions of elliptic equations is rather perfectly solved. But it does not so perfect for that of elliptic variational inequalities. In literature only different special situations are considered. Now the boundedness, C^{0,λ} continuity and C^{1,α} regularity are proved for solutions of one-sided obstacle problems under more general structural conditions, in which the growth orders of u are permitted to reach the critical exponents and the growth order ϒ of the gradient in D is permitted to be super critical as 1 < p < n.     

Uniform continuity on unbounded intervals

We present a teaching approach to uniform continuity on unbounded intervals which, hopefully, may help to meet the following pedagogical objectives:

1. To provide students with efficient and simple criteria to decide whether a continuous function is also uniformly continuous;

2. To provide students with skill to recognize graphically significant classes of both uniformly and nonuniformly continuous functions.

Assembling some well-known facts and refining the resulting statement, we establish a useful asymptotic coincidence test for the uniform continuity on unbounded intervals. That test is the core of the present note and yields an easily applicable technique. In particular, one of its immediate consequences is the elementary fact that continuity and existence of horizontal or oblique asymptotes imply uniform continuity.     

Characterising Near Continuity Constructively

The relation between near continuity and sequential continuity for mappings between metric spaces is explored constructively. It is also shown that the classical implications “near continuity implies sequential continuity” and “near continuity implies apart continuity” are essentially nonconstructive.     

Holomorphic Hölder-type spaces and composition operators

We study boundedness and compactness of composition operators in the generalized Hölder-type space of holomorphic functions in the unit disc with prescribed modulus of continuity. We also devote a significant part of the article to outline some embeddings between such Hölder-type spaces, to discuss properties of modulus of continuity and to construct some useful examples.     

Universally meager sets and principles of generic continuity and selection in Banach spaces

In this paper we use large cardinals to address some problems about generic continuity and generic selection that occur in the study of fragmentability and differentiability in the context of Banach spaces.

本文探讨广义容量的性质,得到如下结果：（a）具有C-右连续,即关于紧集连续的凸拟容量是凸容量;（b）一大类广义容量具有C-右连续性;（c）凸拟容量的准上积分是凸Choquet容量．此外,给出具有C-右连续性的弱拟容量的可容性定理．本文还利用上述结果研究调和空间上正超调和函数的缩减函数和扫除函数．

On the stability of jump-diffusions with Markovian switching

In this paper we consider the stability for a class of jump-diffusions with Markovian switching. We first construct them successively and show that they can be associated with some appropriate generators and they are non-explosive. We then prove their Feller continuity by the coupling methods. Furthermore, we also prove their strong Feller continuity by making use of the relation between the transition probabilities of jump-diffusions and the corresponding diffusions. Finally, we also investigate their exponential ergodicity.

A characterization of uniform continuity for Volterra equations in Hilbert spaces

We show that the norm continuity of the resolvent for a Volterra equation of scalar type is equivalent to the decay to zero of a holomorphic operator family along some imaginary axis.

Continuity of Halfspace Depth Contours and Maximum Depth Estimators: Diagnostics of Depth-Related Methods

Continuity of procedures based on the halfspace (Tukey) depth (location and regression setting) is investigated in the framework of continuity concepts from set-valued analysis. Investigated procedures are depth contours (upper level sets) and maximum depth estimators. Continuity is studied both as the pointwise continuity of data-analytic functions, and the weak continuity of statistical functionals—the latter having relevance for qualitative robustness. After a real-data example, some general criteria and counterexamples are given, as well as positive results holding for “typical” data. Finally, some consequences for diagnostics and practical use of the depth-based techniques are drawn.     

Regularity Properties of Some Stochastic Volterra Integrals with Singular Kernel

We prove the Hölder continuity of some stochastic Volterra integrals, with singular kernels, under integrability assumptions on the integrand. Some applications to processes arising in the analysis of the fractional Brownian motion are given. The main tool is the embedding of some Besov spaces into some sets of Hölder continuous functions.
