The main goal of this paper is to describe the global dynamic of a predator–prey model with nonconstant death rate and diffusion. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions under which the system is dissipative and permanent. We study the global stability of the nontrivial equilibrium, when it is unique. Finally, we show that there are no nontrivial steady state solutions for certain parameter configuration.  相似文献

We investigate the multiplicity of positive steady state solutions to the unstirred chemostat model with general response functions. It turns out that all positive steady state solutions to this model lie on a single smooth solution curve, whose properties determine the multiplicity of positive steady state solutions. The key point of our analysis is to study the “turning points” on this positive steady state solution curve, and to prove that any nontrivial solution to the associated linearized problem is one of sign by constructing a suitable test function. The main tools used here include bifurcation theory, monotone method, mountain passing lemma and Sturm comparison theorem.  相似文献

The dynamics and steady state solutions of an autocatalytic chemical reaction model with decay in the catalyst are considered. Nonexistence and existence of nontrivial steady state solutions are shown by using energy estimates, upper–lower solution method, and bifurcation theory. Summary In the well-known Volterra-Lotka model concerning two competing species with diffusion, the densities of the species are governed by a coupled system of reaction diffusion equations. The aim of this paper is to present an iterative scheme for the steady state solutions of a finite difference system which corresponds to the coupled nonlinear boundary value problems. This iterative scheme is based on the method of upper-lower solutions which leads to two monotone sequences from some uncoupled linear systems. It is shown that each of the two sequences converges to a nontrivial solution of the discrete equations. The model under consideration may have one, two or three nonzero solutions and each of these solutions can be computed by a suitable choice of initial iteration. Numerical results are given for these solutions under both the Dirichlet boundary condition and the mixed type boundary condition.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions to a weighted nonlinear elliptic system with nonlinear homogeneous boundary condition in a bounded domain. By using the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality and variational method, we prove that the system has at least two nontrivial solutions when the parameter λ belongs to a certain subset of R.  相似文献

This paper deals with the qualitative analysis of the travelling waves solutions of a reaction diffusion model that refers to the competition between the predator and prey with modified Leslie–Gower and Holling type II schemes. The well posedeness of the problem is proved. We establish sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the unique nontrivial positive steady state of the model by analyzing roots of the forth degree exponential polynomial characteristic equation. We also prove the existence of a Hopf bifurcation which leads to periodic oscillating travelling waves by considering the diffusion coefficient as a parameter of bifurcation. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the analytical study.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a Mimura–Tsujikawa model with nonlocal delay effect under the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. By using Lyapunov–Schmidt reduction, we investigate the existence, multiplicity, stability, and Hopf bifurcation of nontrivial steady‐state solutions bifurcating from the nonzero steady‐state solution. The three-dimensional steady state oscillation problems of the elasticity theory for homogeneous anisotropic bodies are studied. By means of the limiting absortion principle the fundamental matrices maximally decaying at infinity are constructed and the generalized Sommerfeld–Kupradze type radiation conditions are formulated. Special functional spaces are introduced in which the basic and mixed exterior boundary value problems of the steady state oscillation theory have unique solutions for arbitrary values of the oscillation parameter. Existence theorems are proved by reduction of the original boundary value problems to equivalent boundary integral (pseudodifferential) equations. © 1997 by B.G. A set of two coupled nonlinear diffusion reaction equations is studied and the existence of secondary bifurcation is shown. Using the method of two-timing, it is found that diffusion reaction equations of this type can exhibit an exchange of stability between distinct nontrivial solutions. This exchange can provide either a smooth or discontinuous transition between stable solutions, and the nontrivial solutions can be either steady or temporally periodic. This analysis is applied to the model biochemical reaction of Prigogine and the types of secondary bifurcation which occur in this model are classified.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with a diffusive population model of Logistic type with an instantaneous density-dependent term and two delayed density-dependent terms and subject to the zero-Dirichlet boundary condition. By regarding the delay as the bifurcation parameter and analyzing in detail the associated eigenvalue problem, the local asymptotic stability and the existence of Hopf bifurcation for the sufficiently small positive steady state solution are shown. It is found that under the suitable condition, the positive steady state solution of the model will become ultimately unstable after a single stability switch (or change) at a certain critical value of delay through a Hopf bifurcation. However, under the other condition, the positive steady state solution of the model will become ultimately unstable after multiple stability switches at some certain critical values of delay through Hopf bifurcations. In addition, the direction of the above Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are analyzed by means of the center manifold theory and normal form method for partial functional differential equations. Finally, in order to illustrate the correction of the obtained theoretical results, some numerical simulations are also carried out.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the existence and multiplicity properties of the ground state solutions of the semilinear boundary value problem $-Δu=λa(x)u|u|^{q-2}+ b(x)u|u|^{2^∗-2}$ in a bounded domain coupled with Dirichlet boundary condition. Here $2^∗$ is the critical Sobolev exponent, and the term ground state refers to minimizers of the corresponding energy within the set of nontrivial positive solutions. Using the Nehari manifold method we prove that one can find an interval L such that there exist at least two positive solutions of the problem for $λ∈Λ$.  相似文献

We establish stability and nonstability results for a domain-wall brane model arising in classical field theory. In particular, we show the nonexistence of nontrivial bounded solutions on the real line for a coupled pair of parameter dependent linear second order ordinary differential equations for an open set of those parameters. Moreover, we establish the existence of nontrivial solutions for a hypersurface of the parameters. We use Fredholm theory for compact linear operators combined with the Lyapunov-Schmidt method to prove our results. The model is stable, respectively unstable, for those parameters for which the coupled system does not, respectively does, have nontrivial solutions.  相似文献

We prove the existence of self-similar solutions to the Fradkov model for two-dimensional grain growth, which consists of an infinite number of nonlocally coupled transport equations for the number densities of grains with given area and number of neighbors (topological class). For the proof we introduce a finite maximal topological class and study an appropriate upwind discretization of the time-dependent problem in self-similar variables. We first show that the resulting finite-dimensional dynamical system admits nontrivial steady states. We then let the discretization parameter tend to zero and prove that the steady states converge to a compactly supported self-similar solution for a Fradkov model with finitely many equations. In a third step we let the maximal topology class tend to infinity and obtain self-similar solutions to the original system that decay exponentially. Finally, we use the upwind discretization to compute self-similar solutions numerically.  相似文献

研究了Duffing-Van der Pol振子的主参数共振响应及其时滞反馈控制问题.依平均法和对时滞反馈控制项Taylor展开的截断得到的平均方程表明,除参数激励的幅值和频率外,零解的稳定性只与原方程中线性项的系数和线性反馈有关,但周期解的稳定性还与原方程中非线性项的系数和非线性反馈有关.通过调整反馈增益和时滞,可以使不稳定的零解变得稳定.非零周期解可能通过鞍结分岔和Hopf分岔失去稳定性,但选择合适的反馈增益和时滞,可以避免鞍结分岔和Hopf分岔的发生.数值仿真的结果验证了理论分析的正确性.  相似文献
