ABSTRACTA repeat unit of cell wall teichoic acids (WTA) isolated from E. faecium U0317 was chemically synthesized efficiently by a stepwise strategy. It was derivatized with a 5-aminopentanyl linker to facilitate conjugation with carrier proteins KLH and HSA. Immunological studies of the KLH conjugate 1 demonstrated that it could provoke robust immune responses and high titers of IgG antibodies, which could successfully recognize the synthesized WTA repeat unit 3. This result suggested that synthetic glycoconjugate 1 could be a promising vaccine candidate against E. faecium for further studies. 相似文献

For a reaction-diffusion system that serves as a 2-species Lotka-Volterra diffusive competition model, suppose that the corresponding reaction system has one stable boundary equilibrium and one unstable boundary equilibrium. Then it is well known that there exists a positive number c?, called the minimum wave speed, such that, for each c larger than or equal to c?, the reaction-diffusion system has a positive traveling wave solution of wave speed c connecting these two equilibria if and only if c?c?. It has been shown that the minimum wave speed for this system is identical to another important quantity - the asymptotical speed of population spread towards the stable equilibrium. Hence to find the minimum wave speed c? not only is of the interest in mathematics but is of the importance in application. It has been conjectured that the minimum wave speed can be determined by studying the eigenvalues of the unstable equilibrium, called the linear determinacy. In this paper we will show that the conjecture on the linear determinacy is not true in general. 相似文献

Bi2O2.7/Bi2Ti2O7 composite photocatalyst films are synthesized by sol–gel dip-coating. The ratio of adding Bi and Ti precursors can be controlled during the preparation process. The phase structure is confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The UV–visible diffuse reflectance spectrum shows that the composite catalysts present light absorption in the visible region. The obtained Bi2O2.7/Bi2Ti2O7 composite films possess superior photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B, owing to the visible light response of Bi2O2.7 and the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes between the two components. As a result, the Bi2O2.7/Bi2Ti2O7 (Bi/Ti = 1:1) displays the highest photocatalytic activity under visible light or UV light irradiation for the degradation of different organic dyes, including methyl blue, methyl orange and acid orange 7. 相似文献

2D Raman generated classical and quantum Talbot imaging is proposed in a three-level gain assisted system. First, a 2D Raman induced grating (RIG) will be constructed by modulating transmission function in the weak probe channel using a strong control standing wave field. Furthermore, RIG will diffract a probe field, by shining a probing light beam on an optically generated lattice within a rubidium vapor cell. This study uses gain assisted Raman medium [Nature 406 , 277 (2000)] to examine classical and quantum Talbot imaging. In the case of Raman-induced classical imaging, the diffraction pattern repeats itself at planes with integer multiple Talbot lengths. Additionally, by taking into account entangled photon pairs, the scenario of Raman-induced quantum imaging is investigated. This study also looks at the RIG's amplitude and phase information with adjustable image size variation. As a result of the gain feature and zero absorption, this system is anticipated to be more suitable from the perspective of application. This analysis may pave the way for further research into the Talbot effect's nonlinear and quantum dynamical properties. In this paper we study the number of limit cycles appearing in Hopf bifurcations of piecewise planar Hamiltonian systems. For the case that the Hamiltonian function is a piecewise polynomials of a general form we obtain lower and upper bounds of the number of limit cycles near the origin respectively. For some systems of special form we obtain the Hopf cyclicity. 相似文献

In this paper we study mono-stable traveling wave solutions for a Lotka-Volterra reaction-diffusion competition model with time delay. By constructing upper and lower solutions, we obtain the precise minimum wave speed of traveling waves under certain conditions. Our results also extend the known results on the minimum wave speed for Lotka-Volterra competition model without delay. 相似文献
