A novel photo and pH‐responsive amphiphilic pyrene‐functionalized polymer is synthesized by the esterification reaction between poly(acryloyl chloride) and pyrenemethanol and subsequent hydrolysis of the unreacted acylchloride groups. This random copolymer consists of hydrophobic pyrene‐containing acrylate units and hydrophilic acrylic acid units, which can self‐assemble into nanoparticles in water. Under UV irradiation, the nanoparticles can be disrupted with decreasing particle number resulted from the photolysis of pyrenylmethyl esters, where the hydrophobic segments are converted to hydrophilic acrylic acids; at low pH, the acrylic acid segments are protonated and collapsed, thus the nanoparticles will be shrunk and aggregated; at high pH, the nanoparticles change to fractal structures owing to the aggregation of partially dissociated nanoparticles and the subsequent structural reorganization of the clusters. The controlled release of Nile Red from the nanoparticles stimulated by photo and pH separately and synergistically is demonstrated. The nanoparticles self‐assembled from the dual‐stimuli‐sensitive polymer can be used as a new nanocarrier and find their applications in delivery system.

In this work, the preparation of highly thermoresponsive and fully reversible stretch‐tunable elastomeric opal films featuring switchable structural colors is reported. Novel particle architectures based on poly(diethylene glycol methylether methacrylate‐co‐ethyl acrylate) (PDEGMEMA‐co‐PEA) as shell polymer are synthesized via seeded and stepwise emulsion polymerization protocols. The use of DEGMEMA as comonomer and herein established synthetic strategies leads to monodisperse soft shell particles, which can be directly processed to opal films by using the feasible melt‐shear organization technique. Subsequent UV crosslinking strategies open access to mechanically stable and homogeneous elastomeric opal films. The structural colors of the opal films feature mechano‐ and thermoresponsiveness, which is found to be fully reversible. Optical characterization shows that the combination of both stimuli provokes a photonic bandgap shift of more than 50 nm from 560 nm in the stretched state to 611 nm in the fully swollen state. In addition, versatile colorful patterns onto the colloidal crystal structure are produced by spatial UV‐induced crosslinking by using a photomask. This facile approach enables the generation of spatially cross‐linked switchable opal films with fascinating optical properties. Herein described strategies for the preparation of PDEGMEMA‐containing colloidal architectures, application of the melt‐shear ordering technique, and patterned crosslinking of the final opal films open access to novel stimuli‐responsive colloidal crystal films, which are expected to be promising materials in the field of security and sensing applications.

用硼氢化钠作还原剂,制备出两种相对稳定的含银纳米颗粒的水溶胶,用透射电镜(TEM)和光学吸收谱对这些颗粒进行了表征.当被还原的银离子较少时,所形成的银纳米颗粒较小,吸收峰呈现二极等离子体共振吸收峰.当被还原的银离子较多时,银纳米颗粒尺寸变大,并出现二极和四极共振吸收峰.在Ag纳米颗粒形成后,对其溶液稀释,发现其峰形保持不变,而峰位会出现红移,最大红移量可达到10 nm.透射电镜研究表明,低浓度溶胶中的Ag纳米颗粒尺寸较为均匀,平均直径12 nm.高浓度溶胶中的纳米颗粒尺寸呈双尺寸分布特点,少量颗粒直径小于14 nm,大部分颗粒直径大于20 nm.  相似文献

Monodisperse magnetizable colloidal silica particles in a stable dispersion have been functionalized with a homogeneous catalyst: a PCP–pincer Pd-complex. In a proof-of-principle experiment we demonstrate the catalytic activity of the colloids in a C–C bond formation reaction. Advantages of the magnetic silica carriers are the large surface-to-volume ratio and the easy recovery by magnetic separation. After magnetic separation, the catalyst-loaded particles are readily redispersed for further use.  相似文献

We previously developed a renovated Maxwell model for the effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids and determined that the solid/liquid interfacial layers play an important role in the enhanced thermal conductivity of nanofluids. However, this renovated Maxwell model is limited to suspensions with spherical particles. Here, we extend the Hamilton--Crosser model for suspensions of nonspherical particles to include the effect of a solid/liquid interface. The solid/liquid interface is described as a confocal ellipsoid with a solid particle. The new model for the three-phase suspensions is mathematically expressed in terms of the equivalent thermal conductivity and equivalent volume fraction of anisotropic complex ellipsoids, as well as an empirical shape factor. With a generalized empirical shape factor, the renovated Hamilton--Crosser model correctly predicts the magnitude of the thermal conductivity of nanotube-in-oil nanofluids. At present, this new model is not able to predict the nonlinear behavior of the nanofluid thermal conductivity.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe a surfactant-assisted solution dispersion method to obtain metal nanoparticles, which involves dispersing and stabilizing metal droplets in an appropriate solvent. This method has been successfully used to prepare Pb nanoparticles from bulk Pb. The X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy investigations show the formation of Pb nanoparticles possessing the same crystal structure as bulk metal and an average particle diameter of 40 nm. Thermal analysis indicates that Pb nanoparticles have organic shell, which is in agreement with the excellent oil-solubility. In addition, the tribological properties of Pb nanoparticles as additive in oil are discussed.  相似文献

A reflective electrochromic device (ECD) based on polymeric microspheres was proposed, and its feasibility for a display was investigated. The viologen moiety was introduced onto the surface of chloro‐functionalized polymeric microspheres via refluxing in toluene. The existence of the viologen pendants was confirmed with X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and their redox reactions were examined with cyclic voltammetry. The ECD had an inherent white background without an applied potential because the micrometer size range of the substrate particles scattered the light, whereas a deep violet color appeared when 3.0 V was applied to the cell. This color change could have been caused by the reduction of viologen pendants on the surface of the polymeric microspheres. The reflectance values of the ECD were observed with a spectrophotometer, and the response times and cyclic stability of the ECD, depending on the potential, were also examined. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Aqueous solutions of silicon nanocrystals have been obtained, by sonication, from porous Si (p-Si) aged in air for various times. The photoluminescence of these solutions changes with the aging time of p-Si. These changes correlate with nanocrystal core dimensions, i.e. with the oxidation of the nanocrystals. Infrared spectra show that the reaction with water depends on the age of the starting p-Si sample, since the native superficial oxide layer on p-Si inhibits these reactions.  相似文献
