Spectral characteristics of the amplified spontaneous emission(ASE)from a novel single mode Er3+ doped tellurite fiber with D-type cladding is reported in this letter.When pumped at 980 nm,an ASE source that has nearly a 100-nm flat FWHM bandwidth is obtained with a fiber length of 30-60 cm. Variation of ASE spectra with pump powers and fiber lengths are measured.Output power up to 2.0 mW is obtained with a launched pump power of 660 mW.  相似文献

研究了Yb3 掺杂铝氟磷酸盐 (AFP)玻璃的吸收光谱、荧光光谱 ,测量了Yb3 离子的荧光有效线宽 (Δλeff>5 5nm)以及2 F5 2 能级的荧光寿命 (τmax=2ms)及随掺杂浓度的变化 .应用倒易法计算了Yb3 的发射截面 ,其发射截面可达 0 6 6 82 3pm2 ,且激光增益系数τfσemi达 1 2 89ms.pm2 .评估了Yb3 在AFP玻璃中的激光性能 ,发现其具有较理想的激发态最小粒子数 (0 15 )、饱和抽运强度 (8 3kW cm2 )和最小抽运强度 (1 2 4 5kW cm2 )值及良好的热稳定性 .研究结果表明掺Yb3 氟磷酸盐玻璃是实现高功率超短可调谐激光器的理想增益介质 .  相似文献

Yb^3 与其它稀土离子相比有最简单的能级结构,这使它具有一些独特的性质,如避免激发态吸收,消除上转换和浓度猝灭等,因此它是高能输出激光器介质的理想掺杂离子。氟磷玻璃综合了氟化物玻璃和磷酸盐玻璃的优点,可降低磷酸盐的声子能量,改善其易吸湿性;提高氟化物玻璃的物理化学性能等,这使它成为稀土掺杂可调谐光纤激光器的很好的掺杂介质。众多研究表明,Yb^3 掺杂氟磷玻璃是一种很有前途的激光工作物质。本文总结了Yb^3 掺杂氟磷玻璃的特点,性质,结构及存在的问题。  相似文献

Er^3+ :Yb^3+ codoped tellurite-fluorophosphate (TFP) glass ceramic exhibits much stronger upconversion luminescence. The intensity of the 540nm green light and 651 nm red light of the TFP glass ceramic is 120 times and 44 times stronger than that of the fluorophospahte (FP) glass, respectively. XRD analysis shows that the nanocrystal in TFP glass ceramic is SrTe5O11. TFP glass ceramic also displays much higher upconversion fluorescence lifetime and crystallization stability. The narrow and strong peak at 540nm is very ideal for practical upconversion luminescence realization. This work is a new trial for exploring non-PbF2 involved nanocrystal upconversion glass ceramics.  相似文献

A tellurite fibre of TeO_{2}-ZnO-La_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}O glass codoped with 20000 ppm ytterbium and 5000 ppm erbium was fabricated by the suction casting and rod-in-tube technologies. The absorption spectrum of Er^{3+}/Yb^{3+} -codoped bulk glass has been measured. From the Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters, the spontaneous emission probability and radiative lifetime τ_{rad} of Er^{3+}:{}^{4}I_{13/2}→{}^{4}I_{15/2} transition for the bulk glass have been calculated. The emission fluorescence spectra and lifetimes around 1.5μm, and subsequent upconversion fluorescence in the range of 500-700nm were measured in fibres and compared with those in bulk glass. The changes in amplified spontaneous emission with fibre length and pumping power was also measured. It was found that the emission spectrum from erbium in fibres is almost twice as broad as the corresponding spectrum in bulk glass when pumped at 980nm.  相似文献

A large-mode-area(LMA) ytterbium-doped photonic crystal fiber(PCF) with core NA of 0.034 and core diameter of 50 μm was made by the stack-and-draw technique. The core is formed by Yb~(3+)/Al~(3+)/F-/P~(5+) co-doped silica glass containing 0.09 mol% Yb_2O_3 with an absorption coefficient at 976 nm up to 3.2 d B/m. The core glass with homogeneous distribution of Yb~(3+) ions and refractive index difference of 4 × 10~(-4) compared with pure silica was prepared by the sol-gel method and heat homogenization at 2000°C. Laser power amplification of this LMA PCF was studied using a seed source of 21 ps pulse duration and 48.7 MHz repetition rate at 1030 nm wavelength. With pump power of 520 W, a maximum 272 W(266 k W peak power) quasi-single-mode laser output with M~2 of 2.2 was achieved in a 4.7 m fiber length bent at a diameter of 47 cm with slope efficiency of 52%, and no obvious mode instability, stimulated Raman scattering, or thermal damage on the end facet of the fiber were observed.  相似文献

研究了碱金属氟化物对掺Yb3 氟磷玻璃的光谱性质和析晶稳定性能的影响.运用倒易法计算了Yb3 的发射截面.结果显示,LiF的引入对吸收和发射截面的提高作用较大并出现最佳引入量极值,其次为KF.碱金属氟化物的引入可提高二元体系的析晶稳定性能,使玻璃网络结构得到改善;拉曼光谱显示二元体系中引入YbF<,3>后玻璃网络结构得到增强,而在引入碱金属氟化物的三元体系中掺杂YbF<,3>后破坏了网络完整性,降低系统析晶稳定性能.  相似文献

Emission enhancement at 2.7 μm is observed in Er^3+/Pr^3+--codoped germanate glasses when pumped by a 980-nm laser diode. Significant reductions in 1.5-μm emission and upeonversion intensity indicate efficient energy transfer between Er^3+ and Pr^3+; the energy transfer efficiency is as high as 77.4%. The mechanisms of energy transfer are discussed in detail. The calculated emission cross-section of Er^3+/Pr^3+- codoped germanate glass is 8.44× 10 ^-21 cm^2, which suggests that Er^3+/Pr^3+-codoped germanate glass can be used to achieve efficient 2.7-μm emission.  相似文献

For the purpose of improving conversion efficiency of solar cells by applying the effect of the wavelength conversion of rare earth ions, photo-luminescence and excitation spectrums of Ce3+-Tb3+ doped phosphate glass are investigated. Results show that incorporating Ce3+ ions to Tb3+-doped phosphate glass can greatly increase the absorption coefficient in the range 300-400 nm and then the energy transfer (ET) from Ce3+ to Tb3+ occurs. In addition, increasing Tb3+ concentration in Ce3+/Tb3+ co-doped phosphate glass can greatly enhance the ET efficiency and 545 nm emission intensity. This shows that Ce3+/Tb3+ co-doped phosphate glass would be a promising down-shifting material for enhancing the efficiency of solar cells.  相似文献
