Cellulose fibres were grafted with aliphatic anhydrides having C6, C8, C12 and C16 chain length using a heterogeneous solvent exchange acylation procedure. The ensuing materials were fully characterised by FTIR, solid state 13C-NMR, Wide-angle X-ray scattering and contact angle measurements. These techniques showed that the chemical coupling has indeed occurred. The prepared modified fibres appeared to be efficient to trap different organic molecules dissolved in water. Recycling tests revealed that the saturated substrates could be regenerated tens of times without loosing their capacity of absorption of organic contaminants.  相似文献

In this study, the adsorption removal of an anionic dye (Congo red) by a local bentonite before and after modification was studied. The modification of the bentonite was made by organophilisation using surfactant (HDTMA) and by pillaring process to obtain a bentonite with Ti pillars and with mixed pillars of Fe/Al. The various synthesized materials are characterized by different techniques such as DRX, MET, N2 adsorption-desorption, Zeta potential measurement. Results show the development of the texture and the structure of the bentonite after modification. The various adsorbents synthesized show an increase in the adsorption capacity of Congo Red compared to the initial bentonite. Adsorption isotherms are described by the Langmuir model in all cases except that for Ti pillared bentonite, the Freundlich model is more suitable. Pseudo-second order is better for describing the adsorption process. Also, regeneration of the adsorbent is approached in this study by photochemical way and the results show a total regeneration of the adsorbent.  相似文献

采用FeCl3和2, 4, 6-三巯基三嗪(TMT)溶液分别清洗再生砷(As)中毒商业V2O5-WO3/TiO2催化剂,通过BET、XRD、XRF、in situ DRIFTS以及H2-TPR等表征方法对清洗再生前后催化剂理化性质进行分析。研究发现,清洗后催化剂脱硝活性有极大地恢复,20 mg/ml FeCl3和0.5%TMT溶液再生30 min时最佳As去除率分别为83.67%和94.57%。清洗后,阻塞在催化剂微孔和中孔中的AsOx被清除,因此再生后催化剂比表面积和孔体积均有所增大而平均孔径略有减小。同时,FeCl3和2,4,6-TMT溶液清洗再生后催化剂表面Br?nsted和Lewis酸强度均有所增加,这可能是再生催化剂催化性能提高的主要原因。  相似文献

This study explored the adsorption behavior of Cu2+ onto iron oxide coated eggshell powder (IOESP) from aqueous solution. The effect of various operational parameters such as pH, contact time, initial adsorbate concentration, surfactant, and temperature on adsorption of Cu2+ ions was investigated using batch adsorption experiments. The optimum pH for Cu2+ adsorption was found to be 6.0. Kinetics of adsorption was found to follow the pseudo-second-order rate equation. The suitability of Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models to the equilibrium data was investigated. The adsorption was well described by the Freundlich isotherm model indicating the presence of heterogeneous sites for Cu2+ adsorption. The adsorption of Cu2+ was increased in the presence of anionic surfactant (SDS) while cationic surfactant (CTAB) shows no significant change in adsorption capacity. Thermodynamic parameters showed that the adsorption of Cu2+ onto IOESP was feasible, spontaneous, and exothermic. Regeneration studies were performed using HCl, HCOOH, EDTA, and NaOH as eluting agent for Cu2+ desorption from saturated IOESP and the maximum regeneration was observed with HCl.  相似文献

Conditional inference eliminates nuisance parameters by conditioning on their sufficient statistics. For contingency tables conditional inference entails enumerating all tables with the same sufficient statistics as the observed data. For moderately sized tables and/or complex models, the computing time to enumerate these tables is often prohibitive. Monte Carlo approximations offer a viable alternative provided it is possible to obtain samples from the correct conditional distribution. This article presents an MCMC extension of the importance sampling algorithm, using a rounded normal candidate to update randomly chosen cells while leaving the remainder of the table fixed. This local approximation can greatly increase the efficiency of the rounded normal candidate. By choosing the number of cells to be updated at random, a balance is struck between dependency in the Markov chain and accuracy of the candidate.  相似文献

Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of pure analytical sodium chloride (NaCl) was studied. Performing series of CW-OSL (continuous wave OSL) readouts it was found that subsequent CW-OSL decay, after some delay, starts from significantly higher intensity level than the final intensity of the previous readout. To study this ‘regeneration effect’ a new type of measurements was implemented – the variable delay OSL (VD-OSL) method. The idea of VD-OSL is explained – it allows to study OSL kinetics at very long time scale. VD-OSL data confirm coexistence of two effects in NaCl – regeneration and fading of the OSL signal. After partial CW-OSL readout, regeneration predominates in the short time scale of the order of 103 s. Then, fading becomes dominant. The same measurements were applied to commonly used Al2O3:C material as well. Nevertheless, the results do not show such behavior at the studied time scale. Theoretical arguments are presented that the regeneration mechanism cannot be explained on the basis of the simple trap model.  相似文献

The regeneration of water wells is an urgent problem nowadays, when drilling of new wells becomes more and more expensive. Formation damage leads to a reduction of the formation's permeability and/or pore volume which in turn inhibits the ability of the water to flow from the reservoir formation into the wellbore. A new technology that uses high-power ultrasound to remove formation damage of water wells has been developed. The effectiveness of regeneration of wells can be enhanced if ultrasound and shockwaves are used during the same treatment. It was shown by computer modelling, that the two methods have different depths of impact. Whereas the ultrasonic method has a strong impact on the area of the filter tube, the impact of the shock waves is focused on the gavel pack, the wall of the well and the adjacent aquifer. A shockwave treatment, which is normally more effective due to larger impact zone, needs to be followed by ultrasonic treatment in order to facilitate the removal of the detached deposits. These theoretical assumptions were confirmed by field tests on two wells. The use of the method leaded to an increase of the production by 40% and 109% respectively.  相似文献

Chemical functionalization of olive stone wastes with succinate linkers can potentially improve the performance of wastewater treatment technologies via enhanced adsorption and high affinity of the covalently attached succinate groups for heavy metals. In this study, a novel reusable adsorbent material based on agricultural waste has been synthesized by esterifying the lignocellulosic matrix of olive stones with succinic anhydride in toluene under basic conditions. Characterization of the as-prepared material by FTIR and solid-state MAS 13C NMR spectroscopies and TGA confirmed that the heterogeneous esterification has proceeded very efficiently to yield the succinylated-olive stone (S–OS). Subsequent alkaline treatment of S–OS with saturated NaHCO3 aqueous solution led to the resulting sodic material (NaS–OS), which was subjected to batch experiments in order to evaluate its cadmium-removing efficiency from aqueous solutions at realistic concentrations of cadmium found in industrial effluents. The results obtained from the sorption characteristics have revealed that NaS–OS material is highly effective in removing cadmium from aqueous solutions, with a maximum uptake capacity of 200 mg g−1 (1.78 mmol g−1). The Langmuir isotherm model was found to fit adequately the equilibrium isotherm data. Cadmium adsorption occurs rapidly and the adsorption mechanism is a chemical sorption via ionic exchange between the adsorbate and adsorbent. Thermodynamic parameters were also evaluated from the effect of temperature studies. Regenerability of NaS–OS material was ascertained by quantitative desorption of cadmium with 1 M aqueous NaCl and the reusability of the matrix after five repeated cycles led to nearly no attenuation in its performance (less than 2% in the sorption capacity), indicating that repeated use of NaS–OS is quite feasible. Compared to other low-cost adsorbents utilized for the removal of Cd(II) from water/wastewater, NaS–OS shows higher sorption capacity. These results have important implications for the design of low-cost adsorbents based on agricultural wastes.  相似文献
