On the univalence of derivatives of functions which are univalent in angular domains

We consider functions f that are univalent in a plane angular domain of angle απ, 0 < α ≤ 2. It is proved that there exists a natural number k depending only on α such that the kth derivatives f ^(k) of these functions cannot be univalent in this angle. We find the least of the possible values of for k. As a consequence, we obtain an answer to the question posed by Kir’yatskii: if f is univalent in the half-plane, then its fourth derivative cannot be univalent in this half-plane.

本文把[1]的结论推广到了环绕空间是局部对称共形平坦的情形,即获得了:设M~是局部对称共形平坦黎曼流形N~+p(p>1)中具有平行平均曲率向量的紧致子流形,如果则M~位于N~+p的全测地子流形N~+1中。其中S,H分别是M~的第二基本形式长度的平方和M~的平均曲率,T_C、t_c分别是N~+p的Ricci曲率的上、下确界,K是N~+p的数量曲率。     

A Complete Classification of Curvature Collineations of Cylindrically Symmetric Static Metrics

Curvature collineations are symmetry directions for the Riemann tensor, as isometries are for the metric tensor and Ricci collineations are for the Ricci tensor. Complete listings of many metrics possessing some minimal symmetry have been given for a number of symmetry groups for the latter two symmetries. It is shown that a claimed complete listing of cylindrically symmetric static metrics by their curvature collineations [1] was actually incomplete and is completed here. It turns out that in this complete list, unlike the previous claim, there are curvature collineations that are distinct from the set of isometries and of Ricci collineations. The physical interpretation of some of the metrics obtained is given.

The PDE-preserving operators on nuclearly entire functions of bounded type

The PDE-preserving operators O on the space of nuclearly entire functions of bounded type H_Nb(E) on a Banach space E are characterized. An operator is PDE-preserving when it preserves homogenous solutions to homogeneous convolution equations. We establish a one to one correspondence between O and a set Σ of sequences of entire functionals, i.e. exponential type functions. In this way, algebraic structures on Σ, such as ring structures, can be carried over to O and vice versa. In particular, it follows that O is a non-commutative ring (algebra) with unity with respect to composition and the convolution operators form a commutative subring (subalgebra). We discuss range and kernel properties, for the operators in O, and characterize the projectors (onto polynomial spaces) in O by determining the corresponding elements in Σ. B(A)CKLUND TRANSFORMATION ON SURFACES WITH CONSTANT MEAN CURVATURE IN R2'1

In this paper,the authors obtain the Backlund transformation on time-like surfaces with constant mean curvature in R2,1.Using this transformation,families of surfaces with constant mean curvature from known ones can be constructed.
