We explored the potential of an emerging laser-based technology, photoacoustic imaging (PAI), for bladder cancer diagnosis through high-resolution imaging of microvasculature in the bladder tissues. Imaging results from ex vivo canine bladders demonstrated the excellent ability of PAI in mapping three-dimensional microvasculature in optically scattering bladder tissues. By comparing the results from human bladder specimens affected by cancer to those from the normal control, the feasibility of PAI to differentiate malignant from benign bladder tissues was also explored. The distinctive morphometric characteristics of tumor microvasculature can be seen in the images from cancer samples, suggesting that PAI may allow in vivo assessment of neoangiogenesis that is closely associated with bladder cancer generation and progression. By presenting subsurface morphological and physiological information in bladder tissues, PAI, when performed in a similar way as in conventional endoscopy, provides an opportunity for improved diagnosis, staging, and treatment guidance of bladder cancer.  相似文献

We present what we believe to be the first results that obtained with the recursive least square zonal slope predictor working on an open-loop liquid-crystal adaptive optics system operating on astronomical implementation at visible and near infrared wavelength on a 1.23 m telescope. The system produces substantially better results than a direct open-loop correction based on previous measurement. A 27% relative gain in full-width at half-maximum and 30% relative gain in Strehl ratio are obtained.  相似文献

Volume polarization holographic recording in phenanthrenequinone-doped poly (methyl methacrylate) photopolymer is obtained. Photoinduced birefringence in a 2 mm thick sample is measured by a phase-modulated ellipsometry. The birefringence induced in this material by linearly polarized beam at 514 nm reaches 1.2×10(-5). In addition, ability for recording volume polarization grating using two different polarization configurations is demonstrated and compared. The experimental results show that the diffraction efficiency of the hologram reaches to ~40% by using two orthogonal circularly polarized beams.  相似文献

SnS films have been prepared by a novel two-stage process. It involved sputtering of Sn film on glass substrate and sulfurization of the thin metallic tin precursor layers in a vacuum furnace. The X-ray diffraction results showed that the SnS layers had orthorhombic structure and (0 4 0) preferential growth is more and more obvious with the increase of sulfurization time. The SnS film obtained by this work shows high optical absorption efficiency, and the film has a direct optical band gap of about 1.3 eV. The films show p-type conductivity and the resistivity of SnS film decreased obviously under illumination.  相似文献

CdSe thin films have been grown on GaAs (0 0 1) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The effects of substrate temperature and annealing treatment on the structural properties of CdSe layers were investigated. The growth rate slightly decreases due to the accelerated desorption of Cd from CdSe surface with an increase in the temperature. The sample grown at 260 °C shows a polycrystalline structure with rough surface. As the temperature increases over 300 °C, crystalline CdSe (0 0 1) epilayers with zinc-blende structure are achieved and the structural quality is improved remarkably. The epilayer grown at 340 °C displays the narrowest full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) from (0 0 4) reflection in double-crystal X-ray rocking curve (DCXRC) and the smallest root-mean-square (RMS) roughness of 0.816 nm. Additionally, samples fabricated at 320 °C were annealed in air for 30 min to study the films’ thermal stability. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicate that the zinc-blende structure remains unchanged when the annealing temperature is elevated to 460 °C, meaning a good thermal stability of the cubic CdSe epilayers.  相似文献

The stable range-frequency interference structure(waveguide invariance) of the low frequency monostatic bottom reverberation in shallow water is derived theoretically in this paper by using ray-normal mode coherent reverberation model and separable bottom scattering model.And combined the concept of spectral subtraction,a reverberation forecasting and mitigating method based on the waveguide invariance is presented.According to the waveguide invariance,the reverberation intensity for a detecting range can be estimated from the reverberation returns scattered from some other range cells nearby the detecting range with frequency shift.Then the reverberation component for the detecting range in the echo can be canceled mostly by using the estimated reverberation intensity,so as to enhance the echo-to-reverberation ratio and improve the detection capability of the active sonar.Simulations in typical horizontal layered shallow water environment show the stability of waveguide invariance structure in the low frequency monostatic bottom reverberation and the efficiency of the reverberation forecasting and mitigating method based on the waveguide invariance.  相似文献
