Five novel azo calix[4]arenes were reported. The p-aminobenzaldehyde was diazotized with sodium nitrite in aqueous hydrochloride solution. Mono-, bis-, tris- and tetrakis(p-formylphenyl)azo calix[4]arenes (including proximal and distal isomers) were obtained respectively by diazo-coupling in different molar ratio to calix[4]arene(1) under pH=7.5--8.5 at 0-5℃. All (p-formylphenyl)azo calix[4]arenes were characterized by ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR, IR, MS (ESIMS) spectroscopies and elemental analysis.  相似文献

The p-nitrophenylazo calix[4] arene derivatives la-ld with nonlinear optical(NLO)properties were prepared by the diazo-coupling reaction of calix[4]arene with p-nitrophenyl diazonium.The diazotization reaction of p-nltroaniline was caried out with isoamyl nitrite as a source of nitrous acid in EtONa/EtOH under refluxing conditon.X-Ray crystallographic analysis and ^1H NMR sptectra reveal that they exist as cone conformation in crystal state or in soution.HRS measurements at 1064 nm in THF indicate that p-nitrophenylazo calix[4]arenes have higher hyperpolarizability βz values than the corresponding reference compound 4-(4-nitrophenylazo)-2,6-dimethyl-phenol,without red shift of the charge transfer band.The tetrakis p-nitropheylazo calix[4]arene(2)with longer alkyl chains can form monolayer aht the air/water interface.  相似文献

Two new chiral calix[4] arenes bearing chiral pendants,which were from by-product of the antibiotic industry,were synthesized and characterized by ^1H NMR.MS-FAB and elemental analysis,Studies of ^1H NMR of the two calix[4] arene derivatives indicate that they exist in cone conformation in solution.Results of chiral recognition of the two chiral ligands 2a and 2b towards the tartaric acid derivative 3 show that ligand 2a exhibited good chiral recognition abilities compared to ligand 2b.  相似文献

A series of monobridged calix [4] arenes 3a-f,cyclic biscalix-[4] arenes 4a-f ,diametrically bridged at the upper rim with saturated aliphatic diester chians,have been synthesized,The results at diluted conditions show that the percentage of yields of mono-,bis- and oligo-calix[4] arenes are related to the legth of the chains ,With the shortening of the chains ,the percent-age of monocalix[4] arenes decreased ,All the calix [4] arene moieties are in a cone conformaiton according to the AB quar-tet pattern of the methylene protons between the phenolic rings in the ^1H NMR spectra.  相似文献

Calix[4] (aza) crowns containing amide groups 3a-d were synthesized by the reactions of calix[4]arene (1a) or p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (1b) with N, N'-ethylenebis(2-chloroac-etamide) (2a) or N, N'-1,2-phenylenebis(2-chloroacetamide) (2b) by one step procedure in yields of 85-90% . Calix[4]-(aza) crowns 4a-b could be obtained by the reduction of 3a-b with LiAlH4 in yields of 51 and 67% , respectively. The nitration of 3a or 3c afforded new chromogenic calix[4]arenes 5a bearing two nitrophenol moieties and 5c bearing one nitro-phenol and one quinone moiety, respectively. The ipso-nitrations of 3b and 3d were also studied. Both gave the products containing one nitrophenol and one quinone moiety. Moreover, a very interesting calix[4]arene derivative 5d containing one cyclohexadienone moiety was also separated as the main product when 3d was ipso -nitrated.  相似文献

The new chromophore compounds with NLO properties were prepared by Knoevenagel condensation from forrnyl or diformyl calix[4/arene and isophorone derivatives in the presence of piperidine and acetic acid, respectively. In these chromophore calix[4]arenes, the ring locked trienes were employed as the conjugation bridge and electron acceptor in D-π-A units. The NMR spectra demonstrated that they existed in a cone conformation and consequently non-conjugated D-π-A units could be oriented at nearly the same direction.  相似文献

A novel biscalixarene with two kinds of calix[4]arene derivative units connected by four bridging chains, was facilely' synthesized by "1 + 1" condensation mode in high yield. The element analyses, ESI-MS, ^1H NMR and ^1H-^1H COSY spectrum showed that the calix[4]arene units of compound 4 were in cone conformations and compound 4 possessed biscalixarene-tube structure. 2007 Fa Fu Yang. Two cystine-bearing 1,3-bridged calix[4]arenes were used as the coatings of the quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) with gold electrodes. The two calix[4]arene derivatives were self-assembled onto the gold electrode surface by the covalent attachment between the di-sulfur and gold. The compound of cystine-bearing bi-phenylalanine 1,3-bridged calix[4]arene (CPC) with longer alkyl chain had better self-assembled capacity onto the fresh surfaces of gold electrode than that of cystine-bearing 1,3-bridged calix[4]arene (CC) with comparably shorter alkyl chain.The modified QCM sensors were used to recognize the butylamine isomers in gas. The results showed that the QCM coated with both compounds had preferential affinity to n-butylamine, then i-butylamine, t-butylamine in the range of low concentrations, indicating that in the recognition process, the steric hindrance effect played an important role when forming complex with guest molecules. When the concentrations of the analytes were increased, the polarity and the magnetism of the butylamine became determinative factors. The reversibility was improved greatly and the equilibrium time was much shorter on the self-assembled film than on the film obtained by dropping coating.  相似文献

This letter reports the synthesis of Schiff base calix [4] arene crowns containing m-xylylene phenol subunit, in which calix [4] arene Schiff base crowns 2a,2b and 2c were formed by 1:1 condensation of calix [4] arene diamine 1 with dialdehydes (2,6-diformyl-4-chlorophenol 3a,2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol 3b,2,6-diformyl-4-tert-butylphenol 3c)under high dilute condition in refluxing anhydrous ethanol in 65-70% yield.  相似文献

Treatment of 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(p‐carboxyphenyl)azo]‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxy calix[4]arene ( 2 ) with HCl in DMF or NaOH in MeOH produced 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(p‐carboxyphenyl)azo]‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]‐arene·4DMF (2·4DMF) and 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(p‐carboxyphenylsodium)azo]‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]‐ arene ( 3 ), respectively, which were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV‐vis, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. An X‐ray analysis of 2·4DMF revealed that its calix[4]arene core adopts a flattened cone conformation in which opposed phenyl groups take parallel or sharply inclined positions. The intra‐ and intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions and the π···π interactions form a 2D hydrogen‐bonded wavelike network. Compound 2 had a unique reversible color change in a wide pH range from 1 to 13.5 and showed interesting pH sensing properties.  相似文献

Ibis paper reports the properties of the novel tetra‐p‐nitro‐tetra‐O‐alkyl‐calix[4]arenes (alkyl= n‐C4H9, 1; n‐C8H17 2; n‐C12H25, 3; n‐C16H33, 4). X‐ray crystallographic analysis and 1H NMR revealed that they exist as pinched‐cone conformation in crystal or cone conformation in solution. EFISH experiments at 1064 nm in CHCl3, indicated that tetra‐p‐nitro‐tetra‐O‐butyl‐calix[4]arene (1) has higher hyperpolarizability β, values than the corresponding reference compound p‐nitro‐phenyl butyl ether, without red shift of the charge transfer band. Compounds 2, 3 and 4 with longer alkyl chains can form monolayer at the air/water.  相似文献

Novel fully lower‐rim, carbonate‐bridged calix[8]arene derivatives were successfully synthesized in high yield by the condensation of p‐alkyl substituted calix[8]arenes with triphosgene. Different bases and catalysts were used for the preparation depending on the p‐alkyl substituted groups of the calix[8]arenes. The conformational features of the derivatives were examined by 1H NMR analysis. Thermosetting formulations were prepared from a mixture of bisphenol A polycarbonate with calix[8]arene carbonate derivatives using sodium benzoate as a catalyst. Their crosslinking behaviors were studied using differential thermal/thermogravimetric analysis. The reaction behaviour of 1, 3, 5‐triaza‐2σ3λ3‐phosphorin‐4, 6‐dionyloxy‐substituted calix[4]arenes towards mono‐ and binuclear rhodium and platinum complexes was investigated. Special attention was directed to structure and dynamic behaviour of the products in solution and in the solid state. Depending on the molar ratio of the reactands, the reaction of the tetrakis(triazaphosphorindionyloxy)‐substituted calix[4]arene ( 4 ) and its tert‐butyl‐derivative ( 1 ) with [(cod)RhCl]2 yielded the mono‐ and disubstituted binuclear rhodium complexes 2 , 3 , and 5 . In all cases, a C2‐symmetrical structure was proved in solution, apparently caused by a fast intramolecular exchange process between cone conformation and 1, 3‐alternating conformation. The X‐ray crystal structure determination of 5 confirmed [(calixarene)RhCl]2‐coordination through two opposite phosphorus atoms with a P ⃜P separation of 345 pm. The complex displays crystallographic inversion symmetry, and the Rh2Cl2 core is thus exactly planar. Reaction of 1 and of the bis(triazaphosphorindionyloxy)‐bis(methoxy)‐substituted tert‐butyl‐calix‐[4]arene ( 7 ) with (cod)Rh(acac) in equimolar ratio and subsequent reaction with HBF4 led to the expected cationic monorhodium complexes 5 and 8 , involving 1, 3‐alternating P‐Rh‐P‐coordination. The cone conformation in solution was proved by NMR spectroscopy and characteristic values of the 1J(PRh) coupling constants in the 31P‐NMR‐spectra. Reaction of equimolar amounts of 4 with (cod)Rh(acac) or (nbd)Rh(acac) led, by substitution of the labile coordinated acetylacetonato and after addition of HBF4, to the corresponding mononuclear cationic complexes 9 and 10 . Only two of the four phosphorus atoms in 9 and 10 are coordinated to the central metal atom. Displacement of either cycloocta‐1, 5‐diene or norbornadiene was not observed. For both compounds, the cone conformation was proved by NMR spectroscopy. Reaction of 4 with (cod)PtCl2 led to the PtCl2‐complex ( 11 ). As for all compounds mentioned above, only two phosphorus atoms of the ligand coordinate to platinum, while two phosphorus atoms remain uncoordinated (proved by δ31P and characteristic values of 1J(PPt)). NMR‐spectroscopic evidence was found for the existence of the cone conformation in the cis‐configuration of 11 .  相似文献

Coordination of ten calix[4]arenes bearing boronic acid moieties with five monosaccharides was studied by fluorescence spectrometry. The stability constants (K2) of the complexes and Gibbs free energy change ( ‐ ΔG0) of the coordination reactions were calculated according to the modified Hilderbrand‐Benesi equation. The results obtained indicated that the coordination ability of D‐( ‐ )‐fructose with calix[4] arenes bearing boronic acid moieties was stronger than that of the other monosaccharides. And these calix[4]arene derivatives might be used for identification of L‐( ‐ )‐sorbose.  相似文献

Nitro‐substituted calixarenes in a cone and a partial cone conformation were prepared selectively using distinct synthetic routes. The selective nitration of tris‐ or penta‐substituted phenols of calix[4]arene or calix[6]arene provided mononitrocalix[n ]arenes (=  4, 6). Subsequent addition of ethylene glycol (EG) moieties to mononitrocalix[4]arene provided tetraEGylcalix[4]arene in locked partial cone conformation. By an alternative route – initial addition of EG moieties to the non‐derivatized calix[4]arene followed by the uncontrolled nitration – provided mononitro‐ and dinitro‐tetraEGylcalix[4]arenes locked in the cone conformation. These nitrocalix[4]arenes with locked cone or partial cone conformation are useful building blocks for further assembly of supramolecular systems, especially in the area of material sciences.  相似文献

A series of eleven new 2‐methylthio‐3H‐7‐[(o‐; m‐ and p‐substituted) phenoxy]‐4‐(p‐substituted‐phenyl)‐[1,5]benzodiazepines, which have potentially useful pharmacological activities, has been synthesized by condensing the 4‐[(o‐; m‐ and p‐R1)phenoxy]‐1,2‐phenylendiamines with 3,3‐dimercapto‐1‐(p‐R2‐phenyl)‐2‐propen‐1‐one. Afterward the lH‐[1,5]benzodiazepine‐2‐thiones obtained were treated with sodium hydride and methyl iodide. The structure of all products was corroborated by ir, 1H nmr, 13C nmr and ms.  相似文献

RHF/3-21G and B3LYP/3-21G methods are used to calculate the hydrogen bond energies in calix[4]-, calix[6]-, p-fluorocalix[4]-, p-fluorocalix[6]-, p-chlorocalix[4]-, p-chlorocalix[6]-, p-bromocalix[4]-, pbromocalix[6]-, p-iodocalix[4]-, p-iodocalix[6]-arenes and a number of other p-substituted calix[4]- and calix[6]arenes (R = Me, OMe, NO2, Ac, NH2, CN, N2+). The calculations along with the structural data give evidence of the cooperative effect of hydrogen bonding. Multiple correlation (p ≥ 0.9) between the pairs of Hammett substituent constants and the calculated values of hydrogen bond energies in the corresponding p-substituted calixarenes is found. It is predicted that in the presence of weak bases and in aprotic solvents as well as in the gas phase, the nucleophilic substitution reaction involving p-halogen calix[6]arenes should proceed through diastereomeric transition states.  相似文献
