A novel electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) sensor based on natural clay and ionic liquid was fabricated. Tris(2,2′‐bipyridine)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) was immobilized on natural clay surface through simple adsorption. An ECL sensor was prepared by mixing Ru(bpy)32+‐incorporated clay, graphite powder and an ionic liquid (1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate) as the binder. The electrochemical behavior and ECL of the immobilized Ru(bpy)32+ was investigated. It was observed that the ECL of immobilized Ru(bpy)32+ was activated by the ionic liquid. The proposed ECL sensor showed high sensitivity to tri‐n‐propylamine (TPrA) and the detection limit was found to be 20 pM. In addition, the ECL sensor displayed good stability for TPrA detection and long‐term storage stability.  相似文献

In this study, a novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of Pb(II) was developed based on Ru(bpy)32+ encapsulated UiO66 metal‐organic‐framework (Ru(bpy)32+?UiO66 MOF) and ?NH2 group functionalized silica (NH2?SiO2). The NH2?SiO2 with large surface area provided an excellent platform for the ECL sensor. As numerous exposed carboxyl groups were present on UiO66 backbone, the Ru(bpy)32+?UiO66 could be steadily immobilized to NH2?SiO2 by forming amide bonds. Meanwhile, the introduced UiO66 MOF which used for the encapsulation of Ru(bpy)32+, significantly enhanced the ECL efficiency of the proposed sensor, as it possessed a large specific surface area and porosity for the loading of Ru(bpy)32+. Moreover, a high quenching effect on ECL intensity was obtained in the presence of Pb(II) in the electrolyte. Under the optimal conditions, the quenched ECL intensity showed a good linear relationship within Pb(II) concentration in the range from 1.0×10?6 to 1.0×102 μM, with a detection limit of 1.0×10?7 μM (S/N=3). The proposed sensor for Pb(II) detection was simple in operation, rapid in testing, stable in signal, and showed a good anti‐interference ability to some other metal ions. Besides, its application for detecting Pb(II) in a real sample was also investigated here. This work provides a potential platform for metal ions detection in environmental monitoring field.  相似文献

A novel electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) sensor based on Ru(bpy)32+‐doped titania (RuDT) nanoparticles dispersed in a perfluorosulfonated ionomer (Nafion) on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was developed in this paper. The electroactive component‐Ru(bpy)32+ was entrapped within the titania nanoparticles by the inverse microemulsion polymerization process that produced spherical sensors in the size region of 38±3 nm. The RuDT nanoparticles were characterized by electrochemical, transmission electron and scanning microscopy technology. The Ru(bpy)32+ encapsulation interior of the titania nanoparticles maintains its ECL efficiency and also reduces Ru(bpy)32+ leaching from the titania matrix when immersed in water due to the electrostatic interaction. This is the first attempt to prepare the RuDT nanoparticles and extend the application of electroactive component‐doped nanoparticles into the field of ECL. Since a large amount of Ru(bpy)32+ was immobilized three‐dimensionally on the electrode, the Ru(bpy)32+ ECL signal could be enhanced greatly, which finally resulted in the increased sensitivity. The ECL analytical performance of this ECL sensor for tripropylamine (TPA) was investigated in detail. This sensor shows a detection limit of 1 nmol/L for TPA. Furthermore, the present ECL sensor displays outstanding long‐term stability.  相似文献

The immobilization of tris(2,2′‐bipyridyl)ruthenium(II), Ru(bpy)32+, at a glassy carbon electrode was achieved by entrapping the Ru(bpy)32+ in a vapor deposited titania sol‐gel membrane. The electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of the immobilized Ru(bpy)32+ was studied. The Ru(bpy)32+ modified electrode showed a fast ECL response to both oxalate and proline. The ECL intensity was linearly related to concentrations of oxalate and proline over the ranges from 20 to 700 μmol L?1 and 20 to 600 μmol L?1, respectively. The detection limits for oxalate and proline at 3σ were 5.0 μmol L?1 and 4.0 μmol L?1, respectively. This electrode possessed good precision and stability for oxalate and proline determinations. The electrogenerated chemiluminescence mechanism of proline system was discussed. This work provided a new way for the immobilization of Ru(bpy)32+ and the application of titania sol‐gel membrane in electrogenerated chemiluminescence.  相似文献

The facile synthesis of the novel platinum nanoparticles/Eastman AQ55D/ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine) (PtNPs/AQ/Ru(bpy)3(2+)) colloidal material for ultrasensitive ECL solid-state sensors was reported for the first time. The cation ion-exchanger AQ was used not only to immobilize ECL active species Ru(bpy)3(2+) but also as the dispersant of PtNPs. Colloidal characterization was accomplished by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), and UV-vis spectroscopy. Directly coating the as-prepared colloid on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode produces an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor. The electronic conductivity and electroactivity of PtNPs in composite film made the sensor exhibit faster electron transfer, higher ECL intensity of Ru(bpy)3(2+), and a shorter equilibration time than Ru(bpy)3(2+) immobilized in pure AQ film. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the combination of PtNPs and permselective cation exchanger made the sensor exhibite excellent ECL behavior and stability and a very low limit of detection (1 x 10(-15) M) of tripropylamine with application prospects in bioanalysis. This method was very simple, effective, and low cost.  相似文献

A highly sensitive and stable tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) sensor was developed based on carbon nanotube (CNT) dispersed in mesoporous composite films of sol-gel titania and perfluorosulfonated ionomer (Nafion). Single-wall (SWCNT) and multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) can be easily dispersed in the titania-Nafion composite solution. The hydrophobic CNT in the titania-Nafion composite films coated on a glassy carbon electrode certainly increased the amount of Ru(bpy)32+ immobilized in the ECL sensor by adsorption of Ru(bpy)32+ onto CNT surface, the electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of hydrophobic analytes, and the electronic conductivity of the composite films. Therefore, the present ECL sensor based on the CNT-titania-Nafion showed improved ECL sensitivity for tripropylamine (TPA) compared to the ECL sensors based on both titania-Nafion composite films without CNT and pure Nafion films. The present Ru(bpy)32+ ECL sensor based on the MWCNT-titania--Nafion composite gave a linear response (R2 = 0.999) for TPA concentration from 50 nM to 1.0 mM with a remarkable detection limit (S/N = 3) of 10 nM while the ECL sensors based on titania-Nafion composite without MWCNT, pure Nafion films, and MWCNT-Nafion composite gave a detection limit of 0.1 μM, 1 μM, and 50 nM, respectively. The present ECL sensor showed outstanding long-term stability (no signal loss for 4 months).  相似文献

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of tris(2,2′‐bipyridine)ruthenium, Ru(bpy)32+ in the presence of various co‐reactants, such as tripropylamine (TPA), oxalate ion (C2O42?), ascorbic acid (H2A) and dehydroascorbic acid (DHA), were investigated under ultrasound irradiation. In sono‐ECL experiments, an indium‐thin‐oxide (ITO) was used as working electrode, and a titanium tipped sonic horn probe (diameter 2 mm) which operated at a frequency of 20 kHz was set in the front of the ITO electrode. Under the ultrasound irradiation, ECL signals were found to be significantly enhanced when TPA and C2O42? were used as co‐reactants, only slightly enhanced in Ru(bpy)32+/DHA system, but total quenched in Ru(bpy)32+/H2A system. The difference of Ru(bpy)32+ ECL behaviors for various co‐reactant could to be due to the different kinetics of catalytic reactions associated in ECL schemes. ECL quenching effect observed in Ru(bpy)32+/H2A system was suggested to be due to electron transfer (ET) route between the excited state *Ru(bpy)32+ and ascorbate anion HA? diffused from the bulk solution, where the diffusional HA? species served as electron donor. The effect becomes more pronounced upon sonication because the effective collision frequency between *Ru(bpy)32+ and HA? would be significantly increased by the enhanced mass transport effect of ultrasound.  相似文献

Tripropylamine (TPA) is a highly toxic and carcinogenic compound, therefore, TPA concentration in water must be monitored to protect health and the environment. In this paper, an electrochemiluminescent (ECL) sensor was fabricated by immobilising Ru(bpy)32+‐modified CuO nanoparticles (NPs) on a TiO2 nanotube array (TN) electrode. Compared to an ECL sensor fabricated by immobilising Ru(bpy)32+ on a TN only electrode, the as‐prepared sensor displays a 30 % enhanced ECL signal and a detection limit of 9.6×10?10 M at a signal‐to‐noise ratio=3 with the concentration of TPA in a range 1×10?9 to 1×10?5 M. The results from this study indicated a new approach for the enhancement of performance of ECL sensor in detecting TPA in water.  相似文献

Quenching of Ru(bpy)32+ electrochemiluminescence (ECL) by Cl?, Br?, and I? ions was studied as a function of halide concentration in a bipolar electrochemical cell. All of the halides investigated showed similar qualitative behavior: above a critical concentration, ECL intensity was found to decrease linearly as the halide ion concentration was increased, due to dynamic quenching of Ru(bpy)32+ ECL. Stern‐Volmer slopes (KSV) of 0.111±0.003, 4.2±0.3, and 6.2±0.3 mM?1 were measured for Cl?, Br? and I?, respectively. The magnitude of KSV correlates with halide ion oxidation potential, consistent with an electron transfer quenching mechanism. Using the bipolar platform described herein, aqueous, halide‐containing solutions could be quantified rapidly using the sequential standard addition method. The lower detection limit is determined by a complex mechanism involving the competitive electrooxidation of halide ions and the ECL co‐reactants, as well as the passivation of the surface of the bipolar electrode, and was found to be 0.20±0.01, 0.08±0.01 and 10±1 mM, respectively, for I?, Br?, and Cl?. The performance of the bipolar ECL quenching assay is comparable to previously published fluorescence quenching methods for the determination of halide ions, while being much simpler and less expensive to implement.  相似文献

A chemo‐sensor [Ru(bpy)2(bpy‐DPF)](PF6)2 ( 1 ) (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine, bpy‐DPF=2,2′‐bipyridyl‐4,4′‐bis(N,N‐di(2‐picolyl))formylamide) for Cu2+ using di(2‐picolyl)amine (DPA) as the recognition group and a ruthenium(II) complex as the reporting group was synthesized and characterized successfully. It demonstrates a high selectivity and efficient signaling behavior only for Cu2+ with obvious red‐shifted MLCT (metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer transitions) absorptions and dramatic fluorescence quenching compared with Zn2+ and other metal ions.  相似文献

A novel, stable, solid‐state and stereoselective electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor has been designed to enantioselectively discriminate ascorbic acid (AA) and isoascorbic acid (IAA) by immobilizing Ru(bpy)32+ (Ru), thiolated β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD‐SH) and gold/platinum hybrid nanoparticles supported on multiwalled carbon nanotube/silica coaxial nanocables (GP‐CSCN) on glassy carbon electrode. All chemical compounds could be immobilized on the surface of electrode stably through nafion film, and high stereoselectivity could be introduced to the sensor via the synergistic effects of the β‐CD‐SH and GP‐CSCN nanomaterials. When the developed sensor interacted with AA and IAA, obvious difference of ECL intensities was observed, and a larger intensity was obtained from AA, which indicated that this strategy could be employed to enantioselectively recognize AA and IAA. As a result, ECL technique might act as a promising method for recognition of chiral compounds.  相似文献

Abstract

An electrochemiluminescence (ECL) method for reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) was proposed by immobilizing tris(2,2′‐bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)3 2+) in multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/Nafion composite membrane that was formed on glassy carbon electrode surface. The electrochemical and ECL behaviors of the immobilized Ru(bpy)3 2+ were investigated. The cyclic votammogram of the modified electrode in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution showed a couple of redox peaks at +1190 and +1060 mV at 100 mV/s. The composite film had a more open structure and a large surface area allowing faster diffusion of Ru(bpy)3 2+. The presence of MWCNTs resulted in the improved ECL sensitivity and longer‐term stability of the modified electrode. The modified electrode showed a linear response to NADH in the concentration range of 1.0×10?6 to 1.6×10?5 M with a detection limit of 8.2×10?7 M.  相似文献

An ultrasensitive electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) immunoassay was proposed by using magnetic nanobeads (MNBs) as the carrier of ECL labels for ECL emission amplification. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and MNBs were initially immobilized on a platform in 1 : 1 molar ratio via sandwich immunoreaction. Subsequently, the MNBs were released from the platform and labeled with Ru(bpy)32+ species. After the MNBs with Ru(bpy)32+ were immobilized on an Au electrode, ECL of the Ru(bpy)32+ was measured for CEA determination. A linear relation between the ECL intensity and CEA concentration was obtained in a range of 1×10?14 to 3×10?13 mol/L (2.0 to 60 pg/mL) with a limit of detection of 8.0×10?15 mol/L (1.6 pg/mL).  相似文献

We report the integration of surface plasmon resonance (SPR), cyclic voltammetry and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) responses to survey the interfacial adsorption and energy transfer processes involved in ECL on a plasmonic substrate. It was observed that a Tween 80/tripropylamine nonionic layer formed on the gold electrode of the SPR sensor, while enhancing the ECL emission process, affects the electron transfer process to the luminophore, Ru(bpy)32+, which in turn has an impact on the plasmon resonance. Concomitantly, the surface plasmon modulated the ECL intensity, which decreased by about 40 %, due to an interaction between the excited state of Ru(bpy)32+ and the plasmon. This occurred only when the plasmon was excited, demonstrating that the optically excited surface plasmon leads to lower plasmon‐mediated luminescence and that the plasmon interacts with the excited state of Ru(bpy)32+ within a very thin layer.  相似文献

In this paper the strong electrochemiluminescence (ECL) nanoparticles have been prepared based on the anionic polyelectrolyte sodium polyacrylate (PAA)-ECL enhancement for Ru(bpy)32+, which were loaded by the carrier of SiO2 nanoparticle. There were two kinds of Ru(bpy)32+ for the as-prepared nanoparticles, the doped one and the exchanged one. The former was loaded inside the ECL nanoparticles by doping, in a form of ion-pair macromolecules PAA–Ru(bpy)32+. The corresponding ECL was enhanced about 2 times owing to the doping increase of Ru(bpy)32+. The latter was loaded on the PAA-doped Nafion membrane by ion exchange. The corresponding ECL was enhanced about 3 times owing to the ion-exchanging increase of Ru(bpy)32+. At the same time, ECL intensity of the doped-inside Ru(bpy)32+ was further enhanced 13 times because polyelectrolyte PAA in the doped membrane could obviously enhance electron transfer between the doped Ru(bpy)32+ and the working electrode. Furthermore, based on hydrophobic regions of the doped membrane antibody labeling could be easily realized by the as-prepared nanoparticles and then a high sensitive ECL immunoassay for HBsAg was developed. The linear range was between 1.0 and 100 pg mL−1 (R2 = 0.9912). The detection limit could be as low as 0.11 pg mL−1 (signal-to-noise ratio = 3).  相似文献

A novel and sensitive electrochemiluminescence (ECL) method for ethanol biosensor was developed by co‐immobilizing the enzyme and ECL reagent Ru(bpy)32+ on the poly‐(3,4‐ethylene dioxythiophene) and polystyrene sulfonate functionalized graphene (PEDOT‐PSS‐G) nanocomposite film. Positively charged Ru(bpy)32+ could be immobilized effectively on the electrode surface with the negatively charged PSS and graphene, which provided a stable ECL platform for further modification with the enzyme. Moreover, the introduction of PEDOT and graphene can be acted as a conducting pathway to accelerate the electron transfer due to the high conductivity. Such biosensor combined enzymatic selectivity with the amplification of PEDOT‐PSS‐G performed well with a wide linear range, high sensitivity and good stability. The sensing platform was successfully applied to determine the amounts of alcohol in real samples.  相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrate an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) enhancement of tris(2,2-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) by the addition of silver(I) ions. The maximum enhancement factor of about 5 was obtained on a glassy carbon electrode in the absence of co-reactant. The enhancement of ECL intensity was possibly attributed to the unique catalytic activity of Ag+ for reactions between Ru(bpy)33+ with OH. The higher enhancement was observed in phosphate buffer solutions compared with that from borate buffer solutions. This resulted from the fact that formation of nanoparticles with large surface area in the phosphate buffer solution exhibited high catalytic activity. The amount of Ag+, solution pH and working electrode materials played important roles for the ECL enhancement. We also studied the effects of Ag+ on Ru(bpy)32+/tripropylamine and Ru(bpy)32+/C2O42− ECL systems.  相似文献

An effective electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor based on Nafion/poly(sodium 4-styrene sulfonate) (PSS) composite film-modified ITO electrode was developed. The Nafion/PSS/Ru composite film was characterized by atomic force microscopy, UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy and electrochemical experiments. The Nafion/PSS composite film could effectively immobilize tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) via ion-exchange and electrostatic interaction. The ECL behavior of Ru(bpy)32+ immobilized in Nafion/PSS composite film was investigated using tripropylamine (TPA) as an analyte. The detection limit (S/N = 3) for TPA at the Nafion/PSS/Ru composite-modified electrode was estimated to be 3.0 nM, which is 3 orders of magnitude lower than that obtained at the Nafion/Ru modified electrode. The Nafion/PSS/Ru composite film-modified indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode also exhibited good ECL stability. In addition, this kind of immobilization approach was simple, effective, and timesaving.
