A series of novel 5‐(2,3,4,5‐tetrahydro‐1H‐chromeno[2,3‐d]pyrimidin‐5‐yl)pyrimidione derivatives have been synthesized from substituted salicylaldehydes and barbituric acid or 2‐thiobarbituric acid in water catalyzed by phase transfer catalysis of triethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (TEBA). Elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR elucidated the structures of all the newly synthesized compounds. In vitro antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds have been investigated against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These newly synthesized derivatives exhibited significant in vitro antibacterial activity.  相似文献

Summary: The barbituric acid moiety of the presented dyes shows multifunctional properties like acidochromism, solvatochromism, and adjustable hydrogen-bonding pattern for molecular recognition. Hydrogen-bonding ability, acidity and solvatochromic effects are studied for a series of N-alkyl substituted 5-(4-nitrophenyl)-barbiturates. The effects of substituents on the structure, character, and nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of the organic alkalide Li+(calix[4]pyrrole)Li? were studied by density functional theory. Natural bond orbital analysis and vertical ionization energies reveal that electron‐donating substituents strengthen the alkalide character of Li+(calix[4]pyrrole)Li? and that they are beneficial for a larger first hyperpolarizability (β0) value. However, electron‐withdrawing substituents have the opposite effect. The dependence of the NLO properties on the number of substituents and their relative position was detected in multisubstituted Li+(calix[4]pyrrole)Li? compounds. For both the amino‐ and methyl‐substituted derivatives, the polarizabilities and the first hyperpolarizabilities increase as more pyrrole β‐H atoms are substituted. Moreover, distribution of the substituents so that they are as far away from each other as possible resulted in an increase in the β0 value. The new knowledge obtained in this study may provide an effective approach to enhance the NLO responses of alkalides by employing pyrrole derivatives as complexants.  相似文献

The room temperature ionic liquid 1‐n‐butyl‐3‐methylimmidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim]BF4) was used to promote the synthesis of 5‐arylidene barbituric acids and thiobarbituric acid derivatives under the solid‐state conditions of grinding or microwave irradiation without organic solvent. The yields were 77.9–96.2%. It is shown that the proposed method is fast, efficient, and environmentally benign.  相似文献

Excess‐electron compounds can be considered as novel candidates for nonlinear optical (NLO) materials because of their large static first hyperpolarizabilities (β0). A room‐temperature‐stable, excess‐electron compound, that is, the organic electride Na@(TriPip222), was successfully synthesized by the Dye group (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2005 , 127, 12416). In this work, the β0 of this electride was first evaluated to be 1.13×106 au, which revealed its potential as a high‐performance NLO material. In particular, the substituent effects of different substituents on the structure, electride character, and NLO response of this electride were systemically studied for the first time by density functional theory calculations. The results revealed that the β0 of Na@(TriPip222) could be further increased to 8.30×106 au by introducing a fluoro substituent, whereas its NLO response completely disappeared if one nitryl group was introduced because the nitro‐group substitution deprived the material of its electride identity. Moreover, herein the dependence of the NLO properties on the number of substituents and their relative positions was also detected in multifluoro‐substituted Na@(TriPip222) compounds.  相似文献

The structures and second‐order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of a series of chlorobenzyl‐o‐carboranes derivatives ( 1 – 12 ) containing different push‐pull groups have been studied by density functional theory (DFT) calculation. Our theoretical calculations show that the static first hyperpolarizability (βtot) values gradually increase with increasing the π‐conjugation length and the strength of electron donor group. Especially, compound 12 exhibits the largest βtot (62.404×10?30 esu) by introducing tetrathiafulvalene (TTF), which is about 76 times larger than that of compound 1 containing aryl. This means that the appropriate structural modification can substantially increase the first hyperpolarizabilities of the studied compounds. For the sake of understanding the origin of these large NLO responses, the frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs), electron density difference maps (EDDMs), orbital energy and electronic transition energy of the studied compounds are analyzed. According to the two‐state model, the lower transition energy plays an important role in increasing the first hyperpolarizability values. This study may evoke possible ways to design preferable NLO materials.  相似文献

A path to new synthons for application in crystal engineering is the replacement of a strong hydrogen‐bond acceptor, like a C=O group, with a weaker acceptor, like a C=S group, in doubly or triply hydrogen‐bonded synthons. For instance, if the C=O group at the 2‐position of barbituric acid is changed into a C=S group, 2‐thiobarbituric acid is obtained. Each of the compounds comprises two ADA hydrogen‐bonding sites (D = donor and A = acceptor). We report the results of cocrystallization experiments of barbituric acid and 2‐thiobarbituric acid, respectively, with 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine, which contains a complementary DAD hydrogen‐bonding site and is therefore capable of forming an ADA/DAD synthon with barbituric acid and 2‐thiobarbituric acid. In addition, pure 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine was crystallized in order to study its preferred hydrogen‐bonding motifs. The experiments yielded one ansolvate of 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine (pyrimidine‐2,4‐diamine, DAPY), C4H6N4, (I), three solvates of DAPY, namely 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–1,4‐dioxane (2/1), 2C4H6N4·C4H8O2, (II), 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (1/1), C4H6N4·C4H9NO, (III), and 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–1‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1), C4H6N4·C5H9NO, (IV), one salt of barbituric acid, viz. 2,4‐diaminopyrimidinium barbiturate (barbiturate is 2,4,6‐trioxopyrimidin‐5‐ide), C4H7N4+·C4H3N2O3, (V), and two solvated salts of 2‐thiobarbituric acid, viz. 2,4‐diaminopyrimidinium 2‐thiobarbiturate–N,N‐dimethylformamide (1/2) (2‐thiobarbiturate is 4,6‐dioxo‐2‐sulfanylidenepyrimidin‐5‐ide), C4H7N4+·C4H3N2O2S·2C3H7NO, (VI), and 2,4‐diaminopyrimidinium 2‐thiobarbiturate–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (1/2), C4H7N4+·C4H3N2O2S·2C4H9NO, (VII). The ADA/DAD synthon was succesfully formed in the salt of barbituric acid, i.e. (V), as well as in the salts of 2‐thiobarbituric acid, i.e. (VI) and (VII). In the crystal structures of 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine, i.e. (I)–(IV), R22(8) N—H…N hydrogen‐bond motifs are preferred and, in two structures, additional R32(8) patterns were observed.  相似文献

An efficient P2O5 mediated protocol for the synthesis of pyrido[2,3‐d:6,5‐d]dipyrimidines has been developed through one‐pot three‐component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, barbituric acid/thiobarbituric acid, and 1,3‐dimethyl‐6‐amino‐uracil in ethanol. All the synthesized products were screened for their in vitro antitubercular activity, and results reveal that most of the compounds exhibited moderate to good activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV strain.  相似文献

New adjusted Gaussian basis sets are proposed for first and second rows elements (H, B, C, N, O, F, Si, P, S, and Cl) with the purpose of calculating linear and mainly nonlinear optical (L–NLO) properties for molecules. These basis sets are new generation of Thakkar‐DZ basis sets, which were recontracted and augmented with diffuse and polarization extrabasis functions. Atomic energy and polarizability were used as reference data for fitting the basis sets, which were further applied for prediction of L–NLO properties of diatomic, H2, N2, F2, Cl2, BH, BF, BCl, HF, HCl, CO, CS, SiO, PN, and polyatomic, CH4, SiH4, H2O, H2S, NH3, PH3, OCS, NNO, and HCN molecules. The results are satisfactory for all electric properties tested; dipole moment (µ), polarizability (α), and first hyperpolarizability (β), with an affordable computational cost. Three new basis sets are presented and called as NLO‐I (ADZP), NLO‐II (DZP), and NLO‐III (VDZP). The NLO‐III is the best choice to predict L–NLO properties of large molecular systems, because it presents a balance between computational cost and accuracy. The average errors for β at B3LYP/NLO‐III level were of 8% for diatomic molecules and 14% for polyatomic molecules that are within the experimental uncertainty. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Nano‐titania sulfuric acid (TSA) and boric acid [B(OH)3] were efficiently utilized for domino Knoevenagel‐Michael‐cyclocondensation reaction of malononitrile, various aldehydes and barbituric acid derivatives to synthesis of pyrano[2,3‐d]pyrimidine diones. It is interesting that in boric acid aqueous solution system, H+ which abstracted from water by the interaction with B(OH)3, efficiently catalyzed the reaction.  相似文献

In asymmetric Michael addition between ketones and nitroolefins catalyzed by L ‐proline, we observed that it was benzoic acid or its derivatives rather than other proton acid that could accelerate the reaction greatly, and different benzoic acid derivatives brought different yields. To explain the experimental phenomena, a density functional theory study was performed to elucidate the mechanism of proline‐catalyzed asymmetric Michael addition with benzoic acid. The results of the theoretical calculation at the level of B3LYP/6‐311+G(2df,p)//B3LYP/6‐31G(d) demonstrated that benzoic acid played two major roles in the formation of nitroalkane: assisting proton transfer and activating the nitro group. In the stage of enamine formation from imine, the energy profiles of benzoic acid derivatives were also calculated to investigate the reasons why different benzoic acid derivatives caused different yields. The results demonstrated that the pKa value was the major factor for p‐substituted benzoic acid derivatives to improve the yields, whereas for m/o‐substituted benzoic acid derivatives, both pKa value and electronic and steric effects could significantly increase the yields. The calculated results would be very helpful for understanding the reaction mechanism of Michael addition and provide some insights into the selection of efficient additives for similar experiments. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Different cyclo‐β‐dipeptides were prepared from corresponding N‐substituted β‐alanine derivatives under mild conditions using PhPOCl2 as activating agent in benzene and Et3N as base. To evaluate β3‐substituent influence, the amino acids 7 – 26 were synthesized, and a β‐lactam formation reaction was carried out instead of cyclo‐β‐dipeptide formation. Porphyrin appended triazines (11a, 11b) and dialkylbarbituric acids (2a, 2b) were synthesised. The rosette formation by three-point intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interaction between substituted triazines and barbituric acid derivatives has been characterised in solution by UV–vis, IR, TGA–DTA and ESI-MS spectroscopy. The association constants of different combinations of host–guest moieties in equimolar quantities were determined by 1H NMR titration studies in CDCl3 at room temperature. The nature of substituents either on triazine or on barbituric acid were found to play a crucial role in rosette formation.

Diketo acid derivatives are potent and selective HIV-1 integrase inhibitors. To investigate the detailed synthesis of those derivatives, a series of p/m-[p-(un)substituted phenylsulfonamido]phenyl β-diketo acid derivatives have been designed and synthesized. The quinoxalone derivatives as the potential bioisosteres of the biologically labile β-diketoacid pharmacophores have also been synthesized from reactions of the corresponding diketo acids with o-phenylenediamine. The structures of all diketo acid (ester) and quinoxalone derivatives were confirmed by 1^H NMR, 13^C NMR, IR, HRMS and/or MS (ESI). X-ray crystallographic analysis of 11b demonstrates a similar arrangement of the side chain of quinoxalone derivatives with the parent diketoacids due to the intramolecular hydrogen bond (O…H-N) and the sp^2 hybridization configuration of the two nitrogen atoms of the quinoxalone ring.  相似文献

The aminothiadiazole (II) on treatment with aromatic aldehydes yielded Schiff bases, which cyclized to thiazolidinone derivatives by reaction with thioglycolic acid. Reaction of II with phenyl isocyanate and phenyl isothiocyanate afforded the carbamide and carbothiamide derivatives, respectively, which on reaction with malonic acid in acetyl chloride gave barbituric and thiobarbituric acid derivatives. However, reaction of carbon disulfide and methyl iodide with II gave dithiocarbamidate derivative which on treatment with ethylenediamine or o-phenylenediamine gave the condensed N-imidazolylthiadiazolylamine derivatives.  相似文献
