A thermodynamic framework is proposed to model anisotropic elasticity different in tension and in compression. Based on Kelvin decomposition of the compliance tensor, it applies to any 3D loading. Coupling with damage is made considering fourth- and second-order damage tensors. The proposed formulation automatically satisfies the continuity of the stress tensor and of the energy release rate tensor. The particular case of initially isotropic materials is exposed.  相似文献

A new modified couple stress theory for anisotropic elasticity is proposed. This theory contains three material length scale parameters. Differing from the modified couple stress theory, the couple stress constitutive relationships are introduced for anisotropic elasticity, in which the curvature (rotation gradient) tensor is asymmetric and the couple stress moment tensor is symmetric. However, under isotropic case, this theory can be identical to modified couple stress theory proposed by Yang et al. (Int J Solids Struct 39:2731–2743, 2002). The differences and relations of standard, modified and new modified couple stress theories are given herein. A detailed variational formulation is provided for this theory by using the principle of minimum total potential energy. Based on the new modified couple stress theory, composite laminated Kirchhoff plate models are developed in which new anisotropic constitutive relationships are defined. The First model contains two material length scale parameters, one related to fiber and the other related to matrix. The curvature tensor in this model is asymmetric; however, the couple stress moment tensor is symmetric. Under isotropic case, this theory can be identical to the modified couple stress theory proposed by Yang et al. (Int J Solids Struct 39:2731–2743, 2002). The present model can be viewed as a simplified couple stress theory in engineering mechanics. Moreover, a more simplified model of couple stress theory including only one material length scale parameter for modeling the cross-ply laminated Kirchhoff plate is suggested. Numerical results show that the proposed laminated Kirchhoff plate model can capture the scale effects of microstructures.  相似文献

A variant of the multimodulus elasticity theory for isotropic materials is proposed under the assumption that the shear modulus in Hooke’s law is a constant and the volume modulus depends on the sign of the first invariant of the stress tensor. 实际岩石比如沉积形成的岩石往往是裂隙和孔隙并存的孔隙介质. 由于扁状的裂隙与近似球形或圆管形的孔隙具有不同的可压缩性,当孔隙介质受压时,液体会从易压缩的裂隙中挤出流入不易压缩的孔隙中,这种挤喷流会引起弹性模量的频散和能量的耗散. 着重研究了裂隙挤喷流和液体可压缩性对孔道变形的影响,推导出了动载荷作用下排水体积模量的表达式. 与挤喷流相关的裂隙附加柔度会引起排水体积模量随频率变化,使得孔隙介质呈现黏弹性. 频率越高,模量的实部越大,岩石抵抗变形的能力越强. 而模量的虚部体现了挤喷流对能量的耗散. 裂隙密度主要决定模量频散的幅度以及能量耗散的强度,且裂隙密度越大,模量频散幅度越大,能量耗散也越强. 裂隙的纵横比主要决定模量频散速率最快或能量耗散最强时对应的特征频率. 若孔隙介质中不含有裂隙,即裂隙密度是0时,排水体积模量退化为Biot理论中的排水体积模量.  相似文献

A new representation of the stress tensor in the linear theory of elasticity is proposed. The representation satisfies the equilibrium equations and the compatibility conditions for strains. 纤维沥青混凝土FRA(Fiber reinforced asphalt concrete)的力学行为取决于沥青混合料和纤维的物理属性及几何特征。通过三参数固体模型,考虑纤维的几何特性,构造了一种预测FRA黏弹性行为模型,推导出该模型的本构方程、蠕变柔量和松弛模量表达式。采用该模型研究了纤维体积分、比半径和弹性模量等对FRA松弛模量和蠕变柔量的影响。结果表明,纤维掺入量和比半径对FRA的松弛模量和蠕变柔量影响较大,而弹性模量影响较小。通过试验,验证了FRA预测模型具有较高的精度。在研究试验范围内,SMA-13沥青混凝土的聚丙烯腈纤维(PAN)最佳掺入量和长径比分别为0.3%~0.4%和600~900。  相似文献

An analog of Cesàro’s formula and several compatibility conditions are given for the three-dimensional and two-dimensional linear micropolar theory of elasticity in the form different from that used in the literature. A number of formulas are obtained to determine the antisymmetric part of the strain (stress) tensor in terms of the symmetric part of the strain tensor and the symmetric part of the bending-torsion (stress and couple-stress) tensor and to determine the antisymmetric part of the bending-torsion (couple-stress) tensor in terms of the symmetric part of the bending-torsion (couplestress) tensor. Some integro-differential equations of motion expressed in terms of the symmetric parts of the stress and couple-stress tensors are proposed for the micropolar theory of elasticity.  相似文献

A method of averaging the data on the anisotropic elastic constants of a material is presented. The anisotropic elastic constants are represented by the elasticity tensor which is expressed as a second rank tensor in a space of six dimensions. The method consists of averaging eigenbases of different measurements of the elasticity tensor, then averaging the eigenvalues referred to the average eigenbasis. The eigenvalues and eigenvectors are obtained by using a representation of the stress-strain relations due, in principle, to Kelvin [17, 18]. The formulas for the representation of the averaged elasticity tensor are simple and concise. The applications of these formulas are illustrated using previously reported data, and are contrasted with the traditional analysis of the same data by Hearmon [9]. An interesting result that emerges from this analysis is a method dealing with variable composition anisotropic elastic materials whose elastic constants depend upon the particular composition. In the case of porous isotropic materials, for example, it is customary to regress the Young's modulus against porosity. The results of this paper suggest a structure or paradigm for extending to anisotropic materials this empirical method of regressing elastic constant data against composition or porosity.  相似文献

The eigenvalues of the fourth-order constitutive tangent modulus and the corresponding acoustic tensors are analyzed. Explicit expressions of the eigenvalues are made for the nonsymmetric tangent modulus tensor, and in the case of the deviatoric associative rule for the symmetric part of the tangent modulus and its acoustic tensor. In this context, a rate independent infinitesimal elastoplastic model is considered. The expressions of the plastic hardening modulus are summarized for the different local stability criteria (loss of second order work positiveness, loss of ellipticity, and loss of strong ellipticity). The critical hardening modulus and orientation are discussed in detail in the case of loss of ellipticity and loss of strong ellipticity. This analysis is based on the geometric method and linear, isotropic elasticity and deviatoric associative flow rule. In particular, the critical orientation for the loss of strong ellipticity and the classical shear band localization are compared.  相似文献

软弱岩带的变形模量对于工程建设意义重大,当前变形试验方法难以表征原位条件下软弱岩带的变形模量,导致取值偏于保守。本文基于弹性力学推导了下卧软弱岩带变形模量的解析解,建立了一种新的软弱岩带变形模量的取值方法。在现场试验成果的基础上,采用有限元反演,数值模拟成果与试验计算成果较为吻合,证明该计算方法合理可行,较常规方法直接在软弱岩带上开展的试验成果大幅提高。  相似文献

According to the classical hypoelasticity theory, the hypoelasticity tensor, i.e. the fourth order Eulerian constitutive tensor, characterizing the linear relationship between the stretching and an objective stress rate, is dependent on the current stress and must be isotropic. Although the classical hypoelasticity in this sense includes as a particular case the isotropic elasticity, it fails to incorporate any given type of anisotropic elasticity. This implies that one can formulate the isotropic elasticity as an integrable-exactly classical hypoelastic relation, whereas one can in no way do the same for any given type of anisotropic elasticity. A generalization of classical theory is available, which assumes that the material time derivative of the rotated stress is dependent on the rotated Cauchy stress, the rotated stretching and a Lagrangean spin, linear and of the first degree in the latter two. As compared with the original idea of classical hypoelasticity, perhaps the just-mentioned generalization might be somewhat drastic. In this article, we show that, merely replacing the isotropy property of the aforementioned stress-dependent hypoelasticity tensor with the invariance property of the latter under an R-rotating material symmetry group R⋆ G 0, one may establish a natural generalization of classical theory, which includes all of elasticity. Here R is the rotation tensor in the polar decomposition of the deformation gradient and G 0 any given initial material symmetry group. In particular, the classical case is recovered whenever the material symmetry is assumed to be isotropic. With the new generalization it is demonstrated that any two non-integrable hypoelastic relations based on any two objective stress rates predict quite different path-dependent responses in nature and hence can in no sense be equivalent. Thus, the non-integrable hypoelastic relations based on any given objective stress rate constitute an independent constitutive class in its own right which is disjoint with and hence distinguishes itself from any class based on another objective stress rate. Only for elasticity, equivalent hypoelastic formulations based on different stress rates may be established. Moreover, universal integrability conditions are derived for all kinds of objective corotational stress rates and for all types of material symmetry. Explicit, simple, integrable-exactly hypoelastic relations based on the newly discovered logarithmic stress rate are presented to characterize hyperelasticity with any given type of material symmetry. It is shown that, to achieve the latter goal, the logarithmic stress rate is the only choice among all infinitely many objective corotational stress rates. A remarkably simple analytical expression for the sensitivity of the two-dimensional macroscopic elasticity tensor to topological microstructural changes of the underlying material is proposed. The derivation of the proposed formula relies on the concept of topological derivative, applied within a variational multi-scale constitutive framework where the macroscopic strain and stress at each point of the macroscopic continuum are volume averages of their microscopic counterparts over a representative volume element (RVE) of material associated with that point. The derived sensitivity—a symmetric fourth order tensor field over the RVE domain—measures how the estimated two-dimensional macroscopic elasticity tensor changes when a small circular hole is introduced at the microscale level. This information has potential use in the design and optimisation of microstructures.  相似文献

The analytical properties of the constitutive equations in plasticity with a nonassociated flow rule are investigated. Under the assumption of small deformations the directional stiffness (and compliance) rule is considered and the relevant spectral properties of the tangent stiffness tensor are assessed. It is shown that the directional stiffness may be larger than the elastic. It may also be negative in the case of a formally perfectly plastic material and so the nonassociative flow rule represents (spurious) softening in terms of an associated flow rule. The issue of uniqueness at finite strains is briefly addressed, whereby use is made of the tangent stiffness tensor relating the velocity gradient to the first Piola-Kirchhoff stress rate. The relevant spectral properties, which generalise those from the small deformation case, are found explicit. A sufficient condition for uniqueness is given in terms of a critical (upper bound) value of the hardening modulus.  相似文献

岩石内天然存在长度、倾角和形态不同的裂隙,造成岩石的各向异性特征。为揭示岩石内天然随机裂隙发育特征对岩石物理力学特性的影响规律,以泥巴山隧址区采集裂隙性流纹岩为研究对象,首先对试样裂隙进行素描统计分析;然后基于Oda裂隙结构张量,获得天然随机分布裂隙的几何统计参数;最后对裂隙性流纹岩试样分别进行单轴和常规三轴压缩试验,得到不同应力路径下流纹岩的应力-应变曲线及物理力学参数。分析Oda裂隙结构张量定义的各向异性参数与试验获得的力学参数之间的规律,研究结果表明:(1)Oda裂隙结构张量适用于天然随机分布裂隙的几何统计分析,各向异性参数A(F)越大,裂隙优势方向越明显;(2)单轴压缩下,随着各向异性参数I1和A(F)的增大,流纹岩各向异性程度增大,弹性模量减小,泊松比增大;(3)常规三轴压缩下,流纹岩弹性模量和泊松比随各向异性参数改变的规律较不明显,Oda裂隙结构张量不再适用。  相似文献
