Local bifurcation theory of nonlinear systems with parametric excitation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper summarizes the authors' research on local bifurcation theory of nonlinear systems with parametric excitation since 1986. The paper is divided into three parts. The first one is the local bifurcation problem of nonlinear systems with parametric excitation in cases of fundamental harmonic, subharmonic and superharmonic resonance. The second one is the experiment investigation of local bifurcation solutions in nonlinear systems with parametric excitation. The third one is the universal unfolding study of periodic bifurcation solutions in the nonlinear Hill system, where the influence of every physical parameter on the periodic bifurcation solution is discussed in detail and all the results may be applied to engineering.  相似文献

The averaging theory for studying periodic orbits of smooth differential systems has a long history. Whereas the averaging theory for piecewise smooth differential systems appeared only in recent years, where the unperturbed systems are smooth. When the unperturbed systems are only piecewise smooth, there is not an existing averaging theory to study existence of periodic orbits of their perturbed systems. Here we establish such a theory for one dimensional perturbed piecewise smooth periodic differential equations. Then we show how to transform planar perturbed piecewise smooth differential systems to one dimensional piecewise smooth periodic differential equations when the unperturbed planar piecewise smooth differential systems have a family of periodic orbits. Finally as application of our theory we study limit cycle bifurcation of planar piecewise differential systems which are perturbation of a \(\Sigma \)-center.  相似文献

Based on one drive system and one response system synchronization model, a new type of combination–combination synchronization is proposed for four identical or different chaotic systems. According to the Lyapunov stability theorem and adaptive control, numerical simulations for four identical or different chaotic systems with different initial conditions are discussed to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Synchronization about combination of two drive systems and combination of two response systems is the main contribution of this paper, which can be extended to three or more chaotic systems. A universal combination of drive systems and response systems model and a universal adaptive controller may be designed to our intelligent application by our synchronization design.  相似文献

In this article, we study the continuous and discontinuous planar piecewise differential systems formed only by linear centers separated by one or two parallel straight lines. When these piecewise differential systems are continuous, they have no limit cycles. Also if they are discontinuous separated by a unique straight line, they do not have limit cycles. But when the piecewise differential systems are discontinuous separated two parallel straight lines, we show that they can have at most one limit cycle, and that there exist such systems with one limit cycle.  相似文献

This paper reports the results of an analytical and experimental study to design, analyze, construct, test, and evaluate a re-configurable test-bed to allow the convenient performance of sophisticated experiments in a laboratory setting for investigating a broad category of important nonlinear, time-varying phenomena that are widely encountered in the applied mechanics field. The essential elements of the test apparatus include an electro-dynamic exciter that drives an oscillating mass whose restoring force is easily adjustable from one resembling a linear SDOF mass-spring-damper system with constant coefficients, to one that can represent systems with nonlinear elastic forces, to one that models systems possessing hysteretic properties with precisely-controlled time-varying characteristics. The apparatus design is economical to fabricate, convenient to manipulate, and it provides results that can be accurately replicated under repeated test combinations of system parameters and dynamic loads. The utility of the apparatus to provide an investigational tool for studying the dynamic response of systems with time-varying dry-friction forces that give rise to hysteretic phenomena is demonstrated. Sophisticated on-line system-identification techniques are used to estimate the parameters of reduced-order models that capture the dominant features of the physical model. It is shown that the apparatus under discussion is a useful research tool for investigators conducting studies in physics-based models of generic nonlinear dynamic systems.  相似文献

The method of absolute-retardation measurements does not depend upon the use of any specific interferometer. Any one of the many extended field interferometers can be employed, including the Series, Michelson, Mach-Zehnder and Fizeau types. Where adequate monochromatic purity of light source is available, reflections from the two surfaces of the model can form the interferogram, thus dispensing with the necessity of any separate optical interferometer. The two-dimensional stress-optical relationships are derived in their most general form. The relationships are identical for all instruments or interference systems—only the calibration constants change with different systems. Interferograms from four distinctly different systems are shown. Interference-fringe sharpening is introduced and demonstrated. A laser-light source was used with two systems to provide high monochromatic purity. The interferometric method of Nisida and Saito is correlated with the absolute-retardation method. The opportunity to obtain information for a complete stress solution from one photograph makes the method attractive for both static and dynamic problems.  相似文献

Rheological behavior in molten state of multilayered polymers was investigated by dynamic mechanical measurements. The competition between polymer/polymer interdiffusion and interfacial reaction of functionalized polymers in a sandwich structure was followed by oscillatory mode under small amplitudes of deformation. The systems chosen for study were polyethylene (PE) grafted with glycidyl methacrylate/polyamide (PA) 6 as a reactive system and PE/PA6 as nonreactive one. Moreover, the interphase thickness was estimated by using thermodynamical models. Experimental results of bilayer systems were compared to existing models of multiphase systems. An expression of storage modulus as a function of welding time was also suggested. Thus, the fit between this one and the experimental data was satisfactory with the different appearing phenomena.  相似文献

Based on the non-linear output frequency response functions (NOFRFs), a novel method is developed to detect the position of non-linear components in periodic structures. The detection procedure requires exciting the non-linear systems twice using two sinusoidal inputs separately. The frequencies of the two inputs are different; one frequency is twice as high as the other one. The validity of this method is demonstrated by numerical studies. Since the position of a non-linear component often corresponds to the location of defect in periodic structures, this new method is of great practical significance in fault diagnosis for mechanical and structural systems.  相似文献

Elementary applications of singularity theory to dynamical systems are outlined. The main idea is to consider the geometry of the wrinkled surface generated by the time development of a one variable solution as a function of initial conditions or system parameters. We investigate the instability properties of one-dimensional systems of finite length that can be described by a local wave equation and a set of boundary conditions. A method to quantify the respective contributions of the local instability and of wave reflections in the global instability is proposed. This allows to differentiate instabilities that emanate from wave propagation from instabilities due to wave reflections. This is illustrated on three different systems, that exhibit three different behaviors. The first one is a model system in fluid mechanics (Ginzburg–Landau equation), the second one is the fluid-conveying pipe (Bourrières equation), the third one is the fluid-conveying pipe resting on an elastic foundation (Roth equation).  相似文献

In this paper, a comparison between two particle image velocimetry (PIV) systems, one based on a standard cross-correlation charge coupled device (CCD) camera with pulsed laser and another using high-speed complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) camera with continuous laser is performed. The objective of the paper is to point out advantages and disadvantages of the two systems when computing large and small flow scale statistics. The comparison is performed on velocity measurements in the near and far fields of a circular water jet: on this flow several experimental data and empirical self-similarity laws are available for comparisons. The results show that both systems are suitable for measurements with a preference for the standard one when investigating small-scale statistics. This result depends on the lower number of effectively independent samples acquired by a high-speed system and on the higher noise levels of CMOS sensors in comparison to CCDs.  相似文献

The general solutions of some weakened systems of equations expressed in terms of stresses in the isotropic theory of elasticity are analyzed. These systems are not equivalent to the classical one and involve the equilibrium equations and only three of the six equations of compatibility (either diagonal or off-diagonal ones). In the framework of elasticity theory, an equivalence of the formulations of quasistatic boundary value problems based on such systems and expressed in terms of stresses is discussed.  相似文献

Based on the tracking control and the stability theory of nonlinear fractional-order systems, a?new type of fractional-order chaotic synchronization, which has multidrive systems and one response system is presented. In this paper, active backstepping design technique is applied to achieve reduced-order hybrid combination synchronization and reduced-order projective hybrid combination synchronization of three chaotic systems consisting of: (i) two third-order chaotic Josephson junctions as drives and one second-order chaotic Josephson junction as response system; (ii) one third-order chaotic Josephson junction as the drive and two second-order chaotic Josephson junctions as the slaves. Numerical simulations are performed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the analytical results. Reduced-order combination synchronization has more valuable practical applications to information processing in physical, biological, and social systems than the normal one master system and one slave system synchronization scheme.  相似文献

Summary An approximate method, an empirical one, a semi theoretical one, and the procedure due to Lindsay and Bromley are examined for prediction of thermal conductivity of polar-nonpolar gas mixtures. With a modification of the approximate method we find, by analyzing experimental and calculated results of twelve different systems, that prediction of thermal conductivity is possible with an uncertainty of about 2%. This is important because experimental data on such gas systems are rare. The methods also permit computation of thermal conductivity at moderately high temperatures and for multicomponent mixtures.  相似文献

This letter investigates the adaptive finite-time synchronization of different coupled chaotic (or hyperchaotic) systems with unknown parameters. The sufficient conditions for achieving the generalized finite-time synchronization of two chaotic systems are derived based on the theory of finite-time stability of dynamical systems. By the adaptive control technique, the control laws and the corresponding parameters update laws are proposed such that the generalized finite-time synchronization of nonidentical chaotic (or hyperchaotic) systems is to be obtained. These results obtained are in good agreement with the existing one in open literature and it is shown that the technique introduced here can be further applied to various finite-time synchronizations between dynamical systems. Finally, numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献
