通过单次穿过PPMgO:LN晶体产生了2.06 W的780 nm可调谐的连续倍频光. 采用1560 nm的分布反馈式(DFB)半导体激光器、光栅外腔半导体激光器(ECDL)和分布反馈式掺铒光纤激光器(DFB-EDFL)分别作为掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)的注入光源, 所用的EDFA具有保持窄线宽的功能, 因此可以忽略它对基波线宽的展宽. 研究了激光线宽对单次通过PPMgO:LN 晶体的倍频效率的影响. 控制三台激光器各自注入EDFA的功率一致, 同时也保持EDFA 的输出功率. 在基波功率为12.42 W 时, 使用DFB半导体激光器注入EDFA时得到了1.36 W的780 nm倍频光输出, 转换效率为11.0%; 使用ECDL作为种子源时得到了1.78 W 的780 nm倍频光输出, 转换效率为14.3%; 使用DFB-EDFL作为种子源时得到了2.06 W的780 nm倍频光输出, 转换效率为16.6%. 测得三台种子激光器的线宽分别为1.2 MHz (DFB), 200 kHz (ECDL)和600 Hz (DFB-EDFL). 线宽越窄, 倍频效率越高, 实验结果与理论分析一致.  相似文献

We report a unique all fiber-based single-frequency Q-switched laser in a monolithic master oscillator power amplifier configuration at ~1920 nm by using highly Tm-doped germanate fibers for the first time. The actively Q-switched fiber laser seed was achieved by using a piezo to press the fiber in the fiber Bragg grating cavity and modulate the fiber birefringence, enabling Q-switching with pulse width and repetition rate tunability. A single-mode polarization maintaining large core 25 μm highly Tm-doped germanate fiber was used in the power amplifier stage. For 80 ns pulses with 20 kHz repetition rate, we achieved 220 μJ pulse energy, which corresponds to a peak power of 2.75 kW with transform-limited linewidth.  相似文献

A 10 GHz regeneratively mode-locked semiconductor optical amplifier fiber ring laser with a picosecond pulse duration was newly constructed, and the linewidth change of a longitudinal mode was measured for various laser cavity lengths using a delayed self-heterodyne detection method. The detected line shape was approximately Gaussian for cavity lengths of 3.4-171 m. This result indicates that the laser linewidth depends strongly on thermal or acoustic cavity length fluctuations. The linewidth was proportional to the inverse square root of the cavity length, and a linewidth of 1.7 kHz was obtained for a cavity length of 171 m.  相似文献

A novel approach to generate microwave signals is presented by employing a dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser. By using a delay interferometer as a comb filter cascaded with a tunable bandpass filter and a saturable absorber formed by an unpumped polarization-maintaining erbium-doped fiber, a stable wavelength-tunable dual-wavelength single longitudinal-mode laser is achieved. A microwave signal at 20.07 GHz with a linewidth of <25 kHz is demonstrated by beating the two wavelengths at a photodetector.  相似文献

窄线宽纳秒脉冲光纤拉曼放大器在非线性频率变换、遥感探测和量子信息等领域有广泛的应用前景.综合考虑受激拉曼散射(stimulated Raman scattering,SRS)、受激布里渊散射(stimulated Brillouin scattering,SBS)、自相位调制(self-phase modulation)和交叉相位调制(cross-phase modulation)等非线性效应,建立了窄线宽纳秒脉冲光纤拉曼放大器的非线性动力学模型.仿真分析了放大器中脉冲激光的时频演化特性,对比研究了抽运脉冲宽度、光纤长度和信号光功率等因素对放大器性能的影响.研究发现,上述因素会影响放大器的SRS阈值、SBS阈值、输出激光线宽、激光转换效率等.例如,当脉冲宽度为800 ns时,SBS随着抽运功率的增加而发生,限制了激光功率的提升;减短抽运脉宽可以抑制SBS,但是输出激光的线宽易于展宽到数百MHz以上;增加光纤长度可以获得更低的SRS阈值和更高的转换效率,但是SBS效应和光谱展宽程度也随之增强.系统搭建中需要平衡各非线性效应,选择合适的系统参数.研究内容可以为窄线宽纳秒脉冲光纤拉曼放大器的设计搭建提供参考.  相似文献

We report a high peak power, narrow linewidth, stable pulsed Ho:GdVO4 amplifier based on thuliumdoped fiber, which produces 6.65 W average output power at 2,048 nm and 56.8 kW peak power with 11.7 ns pulse width at 10 kHz repetition rate. We use a simple Q-switched Ho:GdVO4 laser as a seed laser and a thulium-doped fiber pumped by a 792 nm laser diode as an amplifier. The fiber amplifier provided 6.5 dB gain to the input signal. The spectral linewidth of the Ho:GdVO4 amplifier remains < 0.5 nm with an M2 beam quality of 1.36.  相似文献

An all-fiber, single-frequency, linearly polarized, high peak-power, pulsed laser at 1,540 nm for Doppler wind lidar is presented. This laser is composed of a single-frequency, narrow-linewidth external cavity diode laser, and multistage fiber amplifiers. A peak power of 1.08 kW and a pulse width of 500 ns at 10 kHz repetition rate are achieved, which is the highest peak power with a linewidth of 800 kHz in erbium-doped silica fiber to our knowledge. The beam quality of M 2 < 1.3 and a polarization extinction ratio over 16 dB are obtained. This laser will be employed in a compact long-range coherent Doppler wind lidar.  相似文献

A Tm–Ho codoped fiber amplifier system is built. And, amplification of a gain-switched Tm–Ho codoped fiber laser is investigated. Average output of 300 mW is obtained at repetition rate of tens of kHz with an amplification gain bigger than 11 dB. And, pulse amplification efficiency of resonantly pumped Tm–Ho codoped single clad fiber is comparable with 793 nm pumped Tm-doped double clad fiber. The maximal pulse energy generated is about 13.1 μJ, corresponding to a peak power of 282 W at 20 kHz. During the amplification process, gain-switching, partially modulated gain-switched mode-locking and 100% modulated gain-switched mode-locking are observed sequentially. At gain-switching mode, the laser output enjoys a narrow linewidth of 0.31 nm, while at gain-switched mode-locking mode, the spectral linewidth broadens to 0.6 nm.  相似文献

A stable C- and L-band tunable fiber ring laser, using a two-taper Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) as a filter, is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. One of the two taper waists is mechanically bent to tune the laser wavelength. Being amplified by an L-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier and an erbium-doped fiber, respectively, the fiber ring laser has a full L-band (1564-1605nm) and C-band (1550-1565nm) tuning range with a side-mode suppression ratio as high as 50dB. The laser linewidth and the minimum tuning step are related to the MZI's cavity length. It was also found that thermal annealing relieved the internal stresses of the tapers and greatly improved the laser performance.  相似文献

We present a simple and stable single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) erbium-doped fiber linear-type laser. It consists of three FBGs directly written in a photosensitive erbium-doped fiber (PEDF) to form asymmetric two cavities with different cavity lengths, which can effectively increase the longitudinal mode spacing and suppress mode hopping, experimentally compared with symmetric two cavities and single-cavity structures. The stable SLM operation is conveniently achieved without accurate control of cavity length, and the laser linewidth of less than 5 kHz is acquired.  相似文献

A pulsed master oscillator power amplifier system is constructed using a double-cladding polarized Ybdoped fiber and an all-fiber Q-switched narrow-linewidth pulsed laser used as seed laser.This system has a high repetition rate and provides a nanosecond pulsed laser with a narrow linewidth and linear polarization.Moreover,it generates amplified radiation with up to 14 W of average power,narrow linewidth(full-width at half-maximum is smaller than 0.12 nm),linear polarization at 1 080-nm wavelength,repetition rate of 51 kHz,and pulse duration of approximately 50 ns.Based on this pulsed amplified radiation,3.5 W of green laser,with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 27.3%,is obtained via single-pass frequency doubling using a noncritical phase matching KTP crystal.  相似文献

A stretched-pulse mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser was passively synchronized to a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser at a low repetition rate of 240 kHz through large cross absorption modulation along additional 1-m-long erbium-doped fiber. The synchronous fiber laser with an ultra-long fiber cavity could produce not only nanosecond flat-top pulses with tunable pulse duration but also Gaussian-shape stretched pulses with its minimum pulse duration of ∼450 ps as confirmed by cross-correlation measurement. When operating in the stretched pulse regime, the sub-nanosecond fiber laser could be synchronously triggered by the master injection with the cavity-length mismatch tolerance up to ∼7.8 cm and timing jitter less than 400 fs, confirming that the stretched-pulse mode-locking of the ultra-long slave fiber laser could be robustly controlled by cross absorption modulation effects in the erbium-doped fiber with appropriate femtosecond master injection.  相似文献

A single-longitudinal-mode erbium-doped fiber laser with a passive multiple-ring cavity (MRC) is proposed for the first time to the authors' knowledge. The laser is fundamentally structured by insertion of three different short ring cavities, which serve as mode filters, into the main cavity. When it is combined with a mode-restricting intracavity fiber Bragg grating, the MRC resonator ensures single-longitundinal-mode laser oscillation. The laser can successfully suppress side-mode frequencies of as much as 1 GHz and provide an output power of 23 mW with a side-mode suppression ratio of 51 dB at 1533 nm. The short-term linewidth of the laser output measured is ~2 kHz . The ability of this fiber laser to act as an AM transmitter source is also demonstrated.  相似文献

 报道了一台全光纤结构主振荡功率放大(MOPA)型掺镱脉冲光纤激光器,以光纤光栅为腔镜,光纤型声光调Q的光纤激光器为种子源,通过两级掺镱双包层光纤放大器实现功率放大。对声光调Q的光纤激光器输出特性进行了研究,比较了不同泵浦波长、不同重复频率对激光输出功率和脉冲宽度的影响,并实现了最短脉冲宽度25 ns、单脉冲能量45 μJ的脉冲激光输出。在重复频率50 kHz时,对脉冲宽度130 ns、平均功率0.6 W的种子光进行放大,得到了平均功率102.5 W、脉冲宽度约240 ns的激光输出。  相似文献

Ultrashort optical pulse generation using a fiber FM laser is presented and analyzed in detail. Fiber FM laser operation is realized using a fiber ring with an internal phase modulator and an erbium-doped fiber amplifier. To compress FM laser pulses, an external dispersive single-mode fiber is employed. Furthermore, by external intensity modulation, the pulse background is removed. The background ratio of the generated ultrashort pulse is calculated and compared with the experimental results. The experimental results show an output optical pulse width of 1.77 ps and a spectral bandwidth of 0.5 THz.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL) using an erbium-doped zirconiaalumina silica glass-based fiber(Zr-EDF) as a saturable absorber. As a 16-cm-long Zr-EDF is incorporated into a ring EDFL cavity, a stable Q-switching pulse train operating at 1565 nm wavelength is successfully obtained.The repetition rate is tunable from 33.97 kHz to 71.23 kHz by increasing the pump power from the threshold of 26 mW to the maximum of 74 mW. The highest pulse energy of 26.67 nJ is obtained at the maximum pump power.  相似文献

提出了一种具有多环形腔(MRC)和光纤布拉格光栅可调谐滤波器(FBG-TF)相结合的单纵模布里渊掺铒光纤激光器(BEDFL).实验中通过观察激光器输出光的拍频信号分析其光谱精细结构,分别讨论了布里渊增益、FBG-TF、MRC对BEDFL单模输出的贡献,给出了激光器的功率特性曲线和波长稳定性测试图.实验得到了在1550 nm处功率为4 dBm,信噪比(SNR)>60 dB,线宽小于1.5 kHz的稳定单纵模输出光.  相似文献

报道了一种基于主振荡放大技术的全光纤脉冲激光器.种子激光器使用直接调制的单纵模半导体激光器,其输出波长为1 063.8 nm,重复频率100 kHz~10 MHz连续可调谐,光纤放大器采用了多级放大器级联的方法.在重复频率100 kHz、脉冲宽度5 ns时,激光器获得了平均功率为1.2 W,峰值功率为2.4 kW的单横模激光脉冲输出.  相似文献

We build a Tm-doped fiber amplifier based on a gain-switched seed laser. At Er-doped fiber-laser pumping, the maximum peak power of the gain-switched seed pulse is 227.7 W with a pulse duration of 48.3 ns. In the amplifier, peak power of the amplified pulse reaches 1.1 kW with a 3 dB linewidth of 0.06 nm. Supercontinuum generation is observed when this amplified pulsed laser source is injected into a section of 7 m long Tm-doped double-clad fiber.  相似文献

We demonstrate a passively Q-switched tunable erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL)based on graphene as a saturable absorber(SA).A three-port optical circulator(OC)and a strain-induced tunable fiber Bragg grating(TFBG)are used as the two end mirrors in an all-fiber linear cavity.The Q-switched EDFL has a low pump threshold of 23.8 mW.The pulse repetition rate of the fiber laser can be widely changed from 9.3 kHz to 69.7 kHz by increasing the pump power from23.8 mW to 219.9 mW.The minimum pulse duration is 1.7μs and the highest pulse energy is 25.4 nJ.The emission wavelength of the laser can be tuned from 1560.43 nm to 1566.27 nm by changing the central wavelength of the straininduced TFBG.  相似文献
