We report a single-mode, highly stable, continuous-wave Ho3+: ZBLAN fiber laser. The system was pumped by a 1175-nm fiber Raman laser and emitted at ~2950 nm. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was 43% that is the highest reported in the literature. Characterizations revealed a quasigaussian intensity profile with a power stability of less than 1%. This high stability relies on the single-wavelength emission of the system because the system does not require simultaneous oscillation at 2100 nm. Coincidence between the emission wavelength and the absorption peak of water makes the system suitable to replace a high-power (~9.34-W) Er3+: ZBLAN fiber laser for cutting materials with high moisture content.  相似文献

 研究了极紫外波段的双功能光学元件。采用周期膜叠加的思想,运用遗传方法优化设计了在19.5 nm处高反,在30.4 nm处抑制的双功能多层膜。采用磁控溅射技术制备了多层膜,利用X射线衍射仪测试了多层膜的结构,在国家同步辐射实验室测试了双功能多层膜的反射特性。结果表明:制备出的双功能膜性能与设计相符,在入射角13°,19.5 nm处的反射率达到33.3%,接近传统的19.5 nm周期高反膜的反射率,并且在30.4 nm附近将反射率由1.1%降到9.6×10-4。  相似文献

We briefly review the methods under development at Queens University Belfast to solve the full-dimensionality time-dependent Schrödinger equation for helium in intense laser fields. We set out the computational challenges involved in performing calculations that handle Ti:sapphire laser light at its fundamental wavelength ( 780 nm) in comparison to those encountered for 390 nm light. We present for the first time a Nd:YVO(4) laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped at 912 nm by a Nd:GdVO(4) laser. We carried out a model to design the system properly, and laser performance was experimentally investigated. Intracavity sum-frequency mixing at 912 and 1064 nm was then realized in a BiBO crystal to reach the blue range. We obtained a cw output power of 155 mW at 491 nm with a pump laser diode emitting 20 W at 808 nm.  相似文献

We present for the first time a Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped by a 946 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser. A 885 nm laser diode is used to pump the first Nd:YAG crystal emitting at 946 nm, and the second Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped at 946 nm. We achieved an output power of 7.97 W at 1064 nm for an absorbed pump power at 946 nm of 9.55 W, corresponding to an optical efficiency of 83.4%. The beam quality M2 quality factor is about 1.1 at the maximum output power.  相似文献

We report the observation and identification of over 50 new cw laser lines belonging to the B3∏?X1∑ system of I2 optically pumped by a single mode krypton ion laser. When pumping at 531 nm, simultaneous oscillation was achieved on up to 16 lines in the range 540 nm to 650 nm. This system offers considerable potential as a multi-wavelength laser source in interferometry.  相似文献

基于非共线光参量放大(NOPA),以宽带794nm飞秒激光的倍频光为抽运光,以连续的He-Ne激光为信号光,产生了与宽带794nm飞秒激光精确同步的无直流背底的1064nm的脉冲光.实验结果显示该1064nm的光脉冲可作为光参量啁啾脉冲放大系统的抽运激光链的种子光,从而实现用全光学方法实现OPCPA系统抽运光和信号光的精确同步.还将非共线光参量放大器置于经特殊设计的He-Ne激光腔内,也同样成功得到了无直流背底的1064nm的光脉冲.经一次光参量放大后所得到的1064nm光的光谱和空间啁啾特性与非共线光参量放大器置于He-Ne激光腔外时得到的1064nm的光脉冲相同,而其单脉冲能量约为腔外NOPA的10倍. 关键词: 非线性光参量放大 光参量啁啾脉冲放大 时间同步  相似文献

This work is concerned with the experimental demonstration of a dual-band negative index metamaterial. The sample is double negative (showing both a negative effective permeability and a negative effective permittivity) for linearly polarized light with a wavelength between 799 and 818 nm, and the real part of its refractive index is approximately -1.0 at 813 nm. The ratio of -Re(n)/Im(n) is close to 1.3 at 813 nm. For an orthogonal polarization, the same sample also exhibits a negative refractive index in the visible (at 772 nm). The spectroscopic measurements of the material are in good agreement with the results obtained from a finite-element electromagnetic solver for the actual geometry of the fabricated sample at both polarizations.  相似文献

We further miniaturize a recently established silver-based negative-index metamaterial design. By comparing transmittance, reflectance, and phase-sensitive time-of-flight experiments with theory, we infer a real part of the refractive index of -0.6 at a 780 nm wavelength--which is visible in the laboratory.  相似文献

We present the first direct observation of a higher-order inverse-free-electron-laser (IFEL) interaction. Interaction at the fourth, fifth, and sixth harmonics is observed from an IFEL operating at 800 nm. The harmonic spacing, relative harmonic strength, and transverse beam overlap of the interaction are all in good agreement with tracking simulations.  相似文献

The transition frequencies of thei-component of the R(99)15-1 and thew-component of the R(85)26-0 transition in the B-X system of molecular127I2 have been determined with an overall relative standard uncertainty of 1.3 · 10?10. For this purpose a commercial linear dye laser has been modified and stabilized to the corresponding iodine line. This dye laser serves as a transportable frequency standard which is compared with the wavelength standards of the PTB. The evaluation of an experiment for testing special relativity at the test storage ring (TSR) in Heidelberg is based on the precision of the reported interferometric wavelength comparison.  相似文献

We report a diode-pumped continuous-wave (CW) thin-disk Yb3+-doped Sr5(PO4)3F (Yb:S-FAP) laser operating at 985 nm. We achieve a power of 4.34 W at 980 nm in the CW operation regime with a fiber-coupled laser diode emitting 17.2 W at 914 nm. Furthermore, we demonstrate intracavity second-harmonic generation in the continuous-wave mode with a power of 893 mW at 492.5 nm using a BiB3O6 (BiBO) nonlinear crystal. The fluctuation of the blue output power was better than 3.57%. The M2 factors are about 1.15 and 1.18 in the X and Y directions, respectively.  相似文献

We report a high-effciency Nd:YAG laser operating at 1064 nm and 1319nm, respectively, thermally boosted pumped by an all-solid-state Q-switched Ti:sapphire laser at 885 nm. The maximum outputs of 825.4 m W and 459.4mW, at 1064nm and 1319nm respectively, are obtained in a 8-ram-thick 1.1 at.% Nd:YAG crystal with 2.1 W of incident pump power at 885nm, leading to a high slope efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power of 68.5% and 42.0%. Comparative results obtained by the traditional pumping at 808nm are presented, showing that the slope efficiency and the threshold with respect to the absorbed pump power at 1064nm under the 885nm pumping are 12.2% higher and 7.3% lower than those of 808rim pumping. At 1319nm, the slope efficiency and the threshold with respect to the absorbed pump power under 885nm pumping are 9.9% higher and 3.5% lower than those of 808 nm pumping. The heat generation operating at 1064 nm and 1319 nm is reduced by 19.8% and 11.1%, respectively.  相似文献

We report on a passively mode-locked fiber laser emitting around 976nm. The self-starting mode locking is achieved in an unidirectional ring cavity by means of nonlinear polarization evolution. Stable single-pulse operation is observed for 480mW of average output power. This all-normal dispersion laser generates naturally chirped pulses with 1ps duration. The repetition rate is 40.6MHz, resulting in 12nJ pulse energy. External compression using bulk grating shortens the pulse duration down to 286fs.  相似文献

The S(1D2)+CO(X1Σ+) product channel from photodissociation of OCS at 217 nm has been measured using the DC slice velocity map imaging (VMI) technique in combination with resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI). Two diflerent REMPI intermediate states (1F3 and 1P1) and several pump-probe laser polarization geometries are used to detect the angular momentum polarization of the photofragmented S(1D2). The molecular- frame polarization parameters, as well as the laboratory-frame anisotropy parameters, for individual rotational states of co-fragment CO, are determined using two diflerent full quantum theories. The measured total kinetic energy release spectrum from photodissociation of OCS indicates two dissociation channels, corresponding to the fast and slow recoiling velocities of S(1D2), respectively. The slow channel is concluded to originate from an initial photoexcitation to the A(1A'') state, followed by a non-adiabatic transition to the ground state. The fast channel is found to follow a coherent excitation to A(1A'') and B(1A'') states, where contributions of the two states are almost equal at 217 nm. The determined alignment and anisotropy parameters further indicate that the slow channel follows an incoherent excitation, while the fast channel follows a coherent excitation to A(1A'') and B(1A'') states with a phase di erence of π/2.  相似文献

太阳光谱中重要的He-Ⅱ谱线(波长30.4 nm)的观测对于研究太阳活动和日地空间环境具有重要意义,实现空间极紫外太阳观测需要采用多层膜作为反射元件.研究了工作在30.4 nm的Mg基多层膜.以反射率最高为评价函数设计了多层膜,采用直流磁控溅射技术制备了SiC/Mg,B4C/Mg和C/Mg多层膜,用X射线衍射仪测量了多层膜的结构.研究表明虽然B4C/Mg多层膜理论反射率最高,但实际制备结果显示,SiC/Mg多层膜的成膜质量最好,反射率最高.同步辐射反射率测量表明:在入射角10°时实测的SiC/Mg多层膜反射率为44.6%.  相似文献

Intensity-induced variations in the energy transmittivity and temporal shape of pulses emerging from a 200-m-diameter core silica fibre have been investigated with a single-pulse XeCl laser. By coupling an XeCl laser pulse of 3mJ with a temporal width of 20 ns into a 30-m-long all-silica fibre, a total laser pulse of 1 mJ and 3 ns duration has been extracted at the fibre end. A pulse shortening larger than 80% has been observed. It is shown that the shape variations in the transmitted laser pulses are mainly due to stimulated Raman scattering processes. Substantial shape variations have been observed even at energy conversion efficiencies to the Stokes radiation of lower than 10%. The drop in energy transmittivity at higher fluences seems mainly due to two-photon absorption processes.  相似文献
