The chaotic classical single-particle motion in an oblate octupole deformed potential with a non-zero z-component of angular momentum Lz is investigated. The stability analysis of the trajectories shows that with increasing rotation of the system, the unstable negative curvature regions of the effective potential surface decrease, which converts the chaotic motion of the system into a regular one.  相似文献

The classical deterministic dynamics of a Brownian particle with a time-dependent periodic perturbation in a spatially periodic potential is investigated. We have constructed a perturbed chaotic solution near the heteroclinic orbit of the nonlinear dynamics system by using the Constant-Variation method. Theoretical analysis and numerical result show that the motion of the Brownian particle is a kind of chaotic motion. The corresponding chaotic region in parameter space is obtained analytically and numerically.  相似文献

考虑赝势近似下囚禁于Paul阱中的单离子与由脉冲式双激光驻波构成的棘齿势场的相互作用.应用积分方程方法得到系统的经典运动精确解,通过数值方法作出相空间轨道并计算由平均速度定义的流,结合分析与数值结果研究囚禁离子的规则与混沌运动特性.与单驻波型激光脉冲情形相比,发现两个重要的棘齿效应:一是脉冲式棘齿势场的作用导致参数空间混沌区域的改变,从而适当调节第二驻波参数,可使离子的规则运动变为混沌运动,或者混沌运动变为规则运动;二是通过分析平均流随激光参数的变化,发现棘齿势场的介入能使囚禁离子作平均意义下的单向输运,随着势场强度增加到混沌区域,流的强度明显减小并改变方向,系统进入混沌运动. 关键词: 脉冲式棘齿势 囚禁离子 混沌 输运  相似文献

We suggest and experimentally demonstrate a chaotic memory resistor (memristor). The core of our approach is to use a resistive system whose equations of motion for its internal state variables are similar to those describing a particle in a multi-well potential. Using a memristor emulator, the chaotic memristor is realized and its chaotic properties are measured. A Poincaré plot showing chaos is presented for a simple nonautonomous circuit involving only a voltage source directly connected in series to a memristor and a standard resistor. We also explore theoretically some details of this system, plotting the attractor and calculating Lyapunov exponents. The multi-well potential used resembles that of many nanoscale memristive devices, suggesting the possibility of chaotic dynamics in other existing memristive systems.  相似文献

在量子分子动力学模型框架下,研究了在中能重离子反应中单个核子的运动形态是规则的还是混沌的,它与反应系统的整体性质、反应机制是有关联的.在稳定的复合系统中,核子的运动显示出规则的行为.规则行为与混沌行为的并存反映了规则区域被不规则区域所包围的排斥极分岔特性,说明有中等质量碎片的局域稳定源存在.更多的不稳定轨道的出现则标志着这种局域稳定源的减少,有更多的核子及小集团发射.核子的混炖运动比核物质状态方程所标志的力学不稳定区域出现的时间更早.  相似文献

Ehrenfest time depends differently on the Planck constant in integrable motion and chaotic motion. We study how its dependence on the Planck constant changes when there is a continuous transition from regular motion to chaotic motion. We find that the dependence is a weighted compromise between its two distinct dependences in regular and chaotic motions. The study is carried out with the system of periodically driven anharmonic oscillator. As the system is quite typical, the result may apply generally.  相似文献

A neural network with nonlinear delays to produce temporal retrieval of memory is presented. In this network, chaotic motion of the local fields provides a mechanism for the system to escape from one memory to another. It is proved by numerical investigations that the chaotic temporal process can explore the topological structure of the state space and the system has better efficiency of searching global minimum of the energy function than the Hopfield model. The characters of the system show that it may have great potential use in solving combinatorial optimization problems with its complex dynamics.  相似文献

We consider a simple model of the lossless interaction between a two-level single atom and a standing-wave single-mode laser field which creates a one-dimensional optical lattice. The internal dynamics of the atom is governed by the laser field, which is treated as classical with a large number of photons. The center-of-mass classical atomic motion is governed by the optical potential and the internal atomic degrees of freedom. The resulting Hamilton-Schrö dinger equations of motion are a five-dimensional nonlinear dynamical system with two integrals of motion, and the total atomic energy and the Bloch vector length are conserved during the interaction. In our previous papers, the motion of the atom has been shown to be regular or chaotic (in the sense of exponential sensitivity to small variations of the initial conditions and/or the system’s control parameters) depending on the values of the control parameters, atom-field detuning, and recoil frequency. At the exact atom-field resonance, the exact solutions for both the external and internal atomic degrees of freedom can be derived. The center-of-mass motion does not depend in this case on the internal variables, whereas the Rabi oscillations of the atomic inversion is a frequency-modulated signal with the frequency defined by the atomic position in the optical lattice. We study analytically the correlations between the Rabi oscillations and the center-of-mass motion in two limiting cases of a regular motion out of the resonance: (1) far-detuned atoms and (2) rapidly moving atoms. This paper is concentrated on chaotic atomic motion that may be quantified strictly by positive values of the maximal Lyapunov exponent. It is shown that an atom, depending on the value of its total energy, can either oscillate chaotically in a well of the optical potential, or fly ballistically with weak chaotic oscillations of its momentum, or wander in the optical lattice, changing the direction of motion in a chaotic way. In the regime of chaotic wandering, the atomic motion is shown to have fractal properties. We find a useful tool to visualize complicated atomic motion-Poincaré mapping of atomic trajectories in an effective three-dimensional phase space onto planes of atomic internal variables and momentum. The Poincaré mappings are constructed using the translational invariance of the standing laser wave. We find common features with typical nonhyperbolic Hamiltonian systems-chains of resonant islands of different sizes imbedded in a stochastic sea, stochastic layers, bifurcations, and so on. The phenomenon of the atomic trajectories sticking to boundaries of regular islands, which should have a great influence on atomic transport in optical lattices, is found and demonstrated numerically.  相似文献

The effective equations of motion for a surface atom in an anharmonic surface potential have been derived for dispersionless one-dimensional substrates. The system is equivalent to a non-linear damped oscillator (Duffing oscillator) with the forcing term depending on the form of the incident wave. Efficiency of harmonics generation, phonon reflection coefficients, effective local density of states, regions of chaotic motion and windows of periodic motion have been comparatively evaluated for the system subject to an oscillating external force and to the irradiation by a monochromatic phonon coming from the bulk. Comparison of the resonant desorption of the surface atom within a given time interval has been made for the same example of anharmonic surface potential in both types of perturbation. 利用庞加莱截面和相空间轨迹方法对粒子在Hénon-Heiles势中的逃逸动力学进行了模拟.粒子的动力学性质敏感地依赖于粒子的能量.数值计算表明当能量很小时,粒子的运动是规则的;随着能量的增加,粒子的运动开始出现混沌.当能量增加到鞍点能Es时,几乎所有的相空间轨迹都是混沌的.当粒子的能量E>Es,粒子可以越过势阱发生逃逸.对于给定的大于Es的能量, 我们画出了粒子的逃逸-时间曲线和逃逸轨迹.我们的研究对于研究混沌传输和逃逸动力学具有一定的参考价值.  相似文献

We report on experimental observations of chaotic and regular motion of ultracold atoms confined by a billiard-shaped optical dipole potential induced by a rapidly scanning laser beam. To investigate the dynamics of the atoms confined by such an "atom-optics" billiard we measure the decay of the number of trapped atoms through a hole on the boundary. A fast and purely exponential decay, the clear signature of chaotic motion, is found for a stadium billiard, but not for a circular or an elliptical billiard, in agreement with theory. We also investigated the effects of decoherence, velocity spread, and gravity on regular and chaotic motion.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the dynamics of a test particle in the gravitational field with dipoles. At first we study the gravitational potential by numerical simulations, we find that, for appropriate parameters, there are two different cases in the potential curve: one is the one-well case with a stable critical point, and the other is the three-well case with three stable critical points and two unstable critical points. By performing Poincare sections for different values of the parameters and initial conditions, we find a regular motion and a chaotic motion. From these Poincar6 sections,we further confirm that the chaotic motion of the test particle originates mainly from the dipoles.  相似文献
