Role of the Λ(1600) in the ${K}^{-}p \rightarrow {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction

Role of the Λ(1600) is studied in the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction by using the effective Lagrangian approach near the threshold. We perform a calculation for the total and differential cross sections by considering the contributions from the Λ(1600) and Λ(1670) intermediate resonances decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ with ${{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{\rm{\Lambda }}$. Additionally, the non-resonance process from u-channel nucleon pole is also taken into account. With our model parameters, the current experimental data on the total cross sections of the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction can be well reproduced. It is shown that we really need the contribution from the Λ(1600) with spin-parity ${J}^{P}=1/{2}^{+}$, and that these measurements can be used to determine some of the properties of the Λ(1600) resonance. Furthermore, we also plot the π⁰Λ invariant mass distributions which could be tested by the future experimental measurements.     

First observation of K{L}-->pi{+/-}e{-/+}nue{+}e{-}

This Letter is the first report of the K{L}-->pi{+/-}e{-/+}nue{+}e{-} decay. Based on 19 208+/-144 events, we determine the branching fraction, B(K{L}-->pi{+/-}e{-/+}nue{+}e{-}M_{e{+}e{-}}>5 MeV/c{2},E{e{+}e{-}}{*}>30 MeV)=(1.285+/-0.041)x10{-5}, and Gamma(K{e3ee}M{e{+}e{-}}>5 MeV/c{2})/Gamma(K{e3})=[4.57+/-0.04(stat)+/-0.14(syst)]x10{-5}. This ratio agrees with a theoretical prediction based on chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) calculated to O(p{4}). The measured kinematical distributions agree with those predicted by just ChPT O(p{4}), but show significant disagreement with ones predicted by leading-order ChPT.     

Photonic decays involving the2^{ + + } \left( {\bar bb} \right): Partial widths and jets from tensor meson dominance

Tensor meson dominance combined with vector meson dominance, QCD-potentials and the experimental leptonic widths of Γ and Γ′ predicts $$\Gamma _{\Upsilon '\left( {10.01} \right) \to \gamma 2^{ + + } \left( {\bar bb} \right)} = 2.8keV$$ and $$\Gamma _{2^{ + + } \left( {\bar bb} \right) \to \gamma \Upsilon \left( {9.46} \right)} = 134keV.$$ The angular distributions of the γ and the jetsj resulting from the decays $$e^ + e^ - \to \Upsilon '\left( {10.01} \right) \to \gamma 2^{ + + } \left( {\bar bb} \right) \to \gamma gg \to \gamma jj$$ and $$e^ + e^ - \to \Upsilon '\left( {10.01} \right) \to \gamma 2^{ + + } \left( {\bar bb} \right) \to \gamma \bar qq \to \gamma jj$$ with massless vector gluonsg, (coupled gauge invariantly) and quarksq are uniquely determined in TMD. The result for the first process agrees with that of perturbative QCD. No perturbative QCD-prediction for the latter is known.

Study of semileptonic decay of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0} \rightarrow \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ in QCD sum rule

In this work we study the semileptonic decay of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) with the QCD sum rule method. We calculate the ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi $ translation form factors relevant to this semileptonic decay, then the branching ratios of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) decays are calculated with the form factors obtained here. Our result for the branching ratio of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ agree very well with the recent experimental data. For the unmeasured decay modes such as ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {e}^{+}{e}^{-}$ and ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\tau }^{+}{\tau }^{-}$, we give theoretical predictions.

Measurement of CP violation parameters with a Dalitz plot analysis of B{+/-}-->D{pi{+}pi{-}pi{0}}K{+/-}

We report the results of a CP violation analysis of the decay B{+/-}-->D{pi{+}pi{-}pi;{0}}K{+/-}, where D{pi{+}pi{-}pi{0}} indicates a neutral D meson detected in the final state pi{+}pi{-}pi{0}, excluding K{S}{0}pi{0}. The analysis makes use of 324 x 10{6}e{+}e{-}-->BB[over ] events recorded by the BABAR experiment at the PEP-II e;{+}e;{-} storage ring. Analyzing the pi;{+}pi;{-}pi;{0} Dalitz plot distribution and the B{+/-}-->D{pi{+}pi{-}pi{0}}K{+/-} branching fraction and decay rate asymmetry, we find the following one-standard-deviation constraints on the amplitude ratio and on the weak and strong phases: 0.06pi{+}pi{-}pi{0} decay amplitude.     

Study of the decays D0-->pi{-}e{+}nu{e}, D{0}-->K{-}e{+}nu{e}, D{+}-->pi{0}e{+}nu{e}, and D{+}-->K0e{+}nu{e}

By using 1.8x10{6} DDpairs, we have measured B(D{0}-->pi{-}e{+}nu{e})=0.299(11)(9)%, B(D{+}-->pi{0}e{+}nu{e})=0.373(22)(13)%, B(D{0}-->K{-}e{+}nu{e})=3.56(3)(9)%, and B(D{+}-->K{0}e{+}nu{e})=8.53(13)(23)% and have studied the q;{2} dependence of the form factors. By combining our results with recent lattice calculations, we obtain |V{cd}|=0.217(9)(4)(23) and |V{cs}|=1.015(10)(11)(106).
