The problem of two-dimensional arbitrary amplitude low-frequency electrostatic oscillation in a quasi-neutral quantum plasma is solved exactly by elementary means. In such quantum plasmas we have treated electrons quantum mechanically and ions classically. The exact analytical solution of the nonlinear system exhibits the formation of dark and black solitons. Numerical simulation also predicts the possible periodic solution of the nonlinear system. Nonlinear analysis reveals that the system does have a bifurcation at a critical Mach number that depends on the angle of propagation of the wave. The small-amplitude limit leads to the formation of weakly nonlinear Kadomstev–Petviashvili solitons. 相似文献

The quantum hydrodynamic model is employed to study the soliton and chaotic structures of dust ion-acoustic waves in quantum dusty plasmas consisting of electrons, ions, and negatively/positively charged dust particles. By means of the reductive perturbation technique, two-dimensional Davey-Stewartson (DS) system is derived. By improving the extended projective method and the extended tanh-function method, a separation of variables solution with arbitrary functions for the Davey-Stewartson system is obtained. Many soliton and chaotic structures such as localized nonlinear coherent structure, line-soliton structure, periodic wave pattern structure, Rössler and Lorenz chaotic structures are given. In this paper we prove the existence of doubly periodic solutions of certain nonlinear elliptic problems on
2 and study the geometry of their nodal domains. In particular, we will show that if we perturb a nonlinear elliptic equation exhibiting a small amplitude doubly periodic solution whose nodal domains form a checkerboard pattern, then the perturbed equation will have a unique nearby solution which is still doubly periodic, but for which the nodal line structure breaks up. Moreover, we indicate what can happen if we start with a large amplitude doubly periodic solution whose nodal domains form a checkerboard pattern, and we relate these solutions to the Cahn-Hilliard equation and spinodal decomposition. 相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of positron acoustic periodic(PAP) travelling waves in a magnetoplasma composed of dynamic cold positrons, superthermal kappa distributed hot positrons and electrons, and stationary positive ions is examined. The reductive perturbation technique is employed to derive a nonlinear Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation that governs the essential features of nonlinear PAP travelling waves. Moreover, the bifurcation theory is used to investigate the propagation of nonlinear PAP periodic travelling wave solutions. It is found that kappa distributed hot positrons and electrons provide only the possibility of existence of nonlinear compressive PAP travelling waves. It is observed that the superthermality of hot positrons, the concentrations of superthermal electrons and positrons, the positron cyclotron frequency, the direction cosines of wave vector k along the z-axis,and the concentration of ions play pivotal roles in the nonlinear propagation of PAP travelling waves. The present investigation may be used to understand the formation of PAP structures in the space and laboratory plasmas with superthermal hot positrons and electrons. 相似文献
