We propose a new system of the entangled photon generation and recovery using a Gaussian pulse traveling within the nonlinear micro ring resonators, whereas the cloning feasibility of the entangled photon states via an add/drop multiplexer is also proposed. Firstly, the optimum entangled photon visibility is generated by using the Gaussian pulse in the ring resonators, where the second harmonic pulses are generated by filtering the chaotic signals. Secondly, the small amount of the transmission power is coupled by the add/drop device, whereas the entangled photon states, i.e. cloning states, are regenerated by using the polarization control unit. Results obtained have shown that the recovery entangled photon states can be made and confirmed with the initial states, which means that the cloning of entangled photon states of the initial states is plausible. The amplified entangled photon for state recovery is also discussed.  相似文献

We propose an efficient hyperconcentration protocol for distilling maximally hyperentangled state from partially entangled pure state, resorting to the projection measurement on an auxiliary photon. In our scheme, two photons simultaneously entangled in polarization states and spatial modes are considered. One party performs quantum nondemolition detections on his photon and an additional photon to produce three photon hyperentangled state, then he projects the assistant photon into an orthogonal basis composed of both the polarization and spatial degree of freedom. Then the state of the left two photons collapses into maximally hyperentangled state with a certain probability. In the rest cases, some less-entangled states are obtained, which can be used as resource for the next round concentration. By repeating the concentration process for several rounds, a higher success probability can be obtained, which makes our scheme useful in practical quantum information applications.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for the simultaneously preparation radiation-field modes of a single photon and a superposition of zero- and one-photon states, based on the coherent quantum state displacement and photon subtraction from two-mode squeezed state. It is shown that the single-photon and the superposition states can be obtained by only choosing the suitable parameter of displacements. The experimental feasibility to accomplish this scheme is also discussed.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for generating pairs of de-correlated photons in silicon nanowire waveguides. By properly engineering the geometrical dispersion of nanoscale waveguides we achieve both four-wave-mixing and group velocity matching. Factorable pure photon states are found that do not require spectral filtering. Highly anti-correlated two-photon states can be realized far from the Raman background of the waveguide. Our results hold promise for the realization of an integrated single photon source.  相似文献

The information content of a photon system can be extended by hyperentanglement, but the quality of hyperentanglement will be decreased by the complicated transmission loss and channel noise in quantum information processing. Here, an efficient measurement-based hyperentanglement distillation protocol (MB-HDP) is presented for depressing the effects of complicated transmission loss and channel noise on hyperentanglement. In the MB-HDP, the nonlocal lossy and distortion photon states are coupled to local hyperentangled Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states using parity measurement and qubit amplification device, and the decoherence caused by bit-flip (phase-flip) error, diverse transmission coefficients and transmission loss can be depressed by the successful measurement results, which can increase the quality of nonlocal hyperentangled photon state. This MB-HDP broadens the application scope of hyperentanglement distillation to nonlocal lossy and distortion photon state with a lower degree of entanglement. In addition, the MB-HDP can further improve the quality of nonlocal hyperentangled photon state by coupling multiple copies of lossy and distortion hyperentangled photon state with local hyperentangled GHZ states. This work demonstrates the ability of measurement-based method for ensuring the quality of nonlocal hyperentanglement, which can improve the integrity and capacity of long-distance quantum information processing.  相似文献

Using the entangled state representation, we convert a two-mode squeezed number state to a Hermite polynomial excited squeezed vacuum state. We first analytically derive the photon number distribution of the two-mode squeezed thermal states. It is found that it is a Jacobi polynomial; a remarkable result. This result can be directly applied to obtaining the photon number distribution of non-Gaussian states generated by subtracting from (adding to) two-mode squeezed thermal states.  相似文献

Generating desired states is a prerequisite in quantum information. Some desired states can be generated by a quantum-scissors device(QSD). We present a detailed analysis of the properties of the generated states, including average photon numbers and intensity gains. The theoretical analysis shows that there is a nondeterministic amplification in terms of the average photon number under the condition that the average photon number of the input state is less than 1. In contrast to the input states, the generated states show the nonclassical property described by the negativity of the Wigner function. Furthermore, we generalize the QSD to truncate arbitrary photon number terms of the input states, which may be useful in high-dimensional quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present a simulation model for a stream of photon counts that can be detected in fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy systems from diffusing molecules undergoing spontaneous transitions between radiative and nonradiative states. Using our model, we can obtain various characteristics of a random stream of photon counts which allows us to test fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy methods and to predict the results of full-scale experiments.  相似文献

To obtain the corresponding equation of motion of the entangled photons generated by a four-wave mixing process within the system, we propose the Markov approximation to repel the reservoir operators. The system master equation in the interaction picture for both degenerate and non-degenerate cases is analyzed and obtained. The established system can be used to characterize the optimum entangled photons in some cases where the thermal dissipation effects may be introduced noise into the system. In this work, the entangled photons can be generated into two forms, firstly, the two entangled photon states is generated, the other, the four entangled photon states can be easily obtained. Results obtained have shown that the optimum entangled photon in term of entangled photon visibility can be compensated (i.e. unchanged) under thermal dissipation effects.  相似文献

Photoemission from evaporated films of LiF were measured at photon energies of 10-27 eV. The photoelectron spectra exhibit features that can be identified as density-of-states structures in the valence and conduction bands of LiF. Regions of high density of states can be seen at ca. 3.3 and 7.8 eV above the vacuum level. The valence-band spectrum shows a doublet structure similar to the calculated density of states for the F?2p band of LiF. The base width of this structure is found to be 4.6 ± 0.3 eV. The photoelectron spectra for photon energies > 15 eV indicate that the highest occupied states of the F?2p band are located at 11.8 ± 0.3 eV below the vacuum level. The photoelectron spectra in the exciton region, however, show photo-emission from higher occupied states.  相似文献

Controlled quantum teleportation of superposed coherent states using GHZ entangled 3-mode coherent states is studied. Proposed scheme can be implemented experimentally using linear optical components such as a symmetric lossless beam splitter, two phase-shifters and two photon counters. Fidelity is found close to unity for appreciable mean number of photons in coherent states and is 0.99 for mean photon number equal to two.

We propose a method to generate the multi-mode entangled catalysis squeezed vacuum states (MECSVS) by embedding the cross-Kerr nonlinear medium into the Mach−Zehnder interferometer. This method realizes the exchange of quantum states between different modes based on Fredkin gate. In addition, we study the MECSVS as the probe state of multi-arm optical interferometer to realize multi-phase simultaneous estimation. The results show that the quantum Cramer−Rao bound (QCRB) of phase estimation can be improved by increasing the number of catalytic photons or decreasing the transmissivity of the optical beam splitter using for photon catalysis. In addition, we also show that even if there is photon loss, the QCRB of our photon catalysis scheme is lower than that of the ideal entangled squeezed vacuum states (ESVS), which shows that by performing the photon catalytic operation is more robust against photon loss than that without the catalytic operation. The results here can find applications in quantum metrology for multiparatmeter estimation.  相似文献

Nonclassical properties of photon added and subtracted displaced Fock states are studied using various witnesses of lower‐ and higher‐order nonclassicality. Compact analytic expressions are obtained for the nonclassicality witnesses. Using those expressions, it is established that these states and the states that can be obtained as their limiting cases (except coherent states) are highly nonclassical as they show the existence of lower‐ and higher‐order antibunching and sub‐Poissonian photon statistics, in addition to the nonclassical features revealed through the Mandel Q M parameter, zeros of Q function, Klyshko's criterion, and Agarwal–Tara criterion. Further, some comparison between the nonclassicality of photon added and subtracted displaced Fock states have been performed using witnesses of nonclassicality. This has established that between the two types of non‐Gaussianity inducing operations (i.e., photon addition and subtraction) used here, photon addition influences the nonclassical properties more strongly. Further, optical designs for the generation of photon added and subtracted displaced Fock states from squeezed vacuum state have also been proposed.  相似文献

A scheme has been proposed for generating the macroscopic entanglement between the mesoscopic squeezed vacuum states and mesoscopic coherent states by considering both the two-photon interaction and the single photon interaction of N two-level atoms in cavities with high quality factor assisted by a strong driving field. Moreover, we derive the dissipative interaction models for single photon interaction and two-photon interaction, respectively. The corresponding analytical expressions of the fidelities can be given. Polarization properties of single photon states propagating through the non-Kolmogorov turbulence in a slant channel are studied based on the degree of polarization of quantum field. The degree of polarization of single photon states for linearly polarized quantum beam propagation in a slant turbulent channel are developed. Our results show that the effects of the outer scale fluctuations of atmospheric turbulence and the wavelength difference of the beams on the polarization can be ignored and the smaller inner scale of turbulence and larger zenith angle of communication channel will lead to larger fluctuations of the polarization of single-photon states. The effects of the inner scale of turbulence on polarization of single photon states are more significant for bigger refractive-index power and bigger zenith angles.  相似文献

Statistical properties, generation, and applications of three-mode biphoton fields with no more than one photon in each mode are discussed. Such field states have sub-Poissonian photon statistics and can be squeezed and entangled. The modes that simultaneously exhibit these properties in measurements are indicated. Two setups for generating such states via spontaneous parametric down-conversion are described. It is shown that the field states discussed in this study provide a quantum channel for teleportation, dense coding, and quantum key distribution.  相似文献
