An RF system for the CSRe (cooling storage experimental ring) is designed and manufactured domestically. The present paper mainly describes the RF system design in five main sections:ferrite ring, RF cavity, RF generator, low level system and cavity cooling. The cavity is based on a type of coaxial resonator which is shorted at the end with one gap and loaded with domestic ferrite rings. The RF generator is designed in the push-pull mode and the low level control system is based on a DSP+FGPA+DDS+USB interface and has three feedback loops. This paper presents the RF system of VEPP-5 damping ring created at BINP Novosibirsk. The RF system operates at 700 MHz and consists of a generator based on KU-393 klystron, a transmitting waveguide with wave-to-coax adapters, an accelerating cavity, and a control system. Cavity HOMs are damped with resistive loads to eliminate the beam instability. Parameter results of cold measurement tests and high-power level tests are presented. 相似文献

A 10 MeV compact cyclotron (CYCHU-10) has been developing in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The RF system includes a 10 kW RF power generator and a resonance cavity. There is no automatic frequency tuning equipment in the cavity due to space limitations, so the generator must search and track the cavity resonant frequency. AD9850 synthesizer is used to generate RF signal in the experimental prototype, and a fine sinusoidal waveform around 99 MHz is obtained with the method of picking up a special aliased signal from the synthesizer’s output, and the output power level can be set by regulating the resistor connected to the Pin ‘R set’. The final stage amplifier based on tetrode operates in the grounded cathode configuration, and the schematic of the tetrode circuit is illustrated. The method of searching the resonant frequency is discussed in detail. For the sake of a compact and robust structure, the resonance cavity will adopt non-uniform characteristic impedance coaxial structure, and the magnet surface electroplated with copper will be used as dummy Dees. The precise shapes and dimensions of the cavity are designed and simulation results are carried out in this paper. The distributions of electromagnetic field are illustrated by means of numerical calculation analysis, and the wooden model test is preformed as well. 相似文献

This paper describes a field programming gate array(FPGA)based low level radio frequency (LLRF)prototype for the SSRF storage ring RF system.This prototype includes the local oscillator(LO),analog front end,digital front end,RF out,clock distributing,digital signal processing and communication functions.All feedback algorithms are performed in FPGA.The long term of the test prototype with high power shows that the variations of the RF amplitude and the phase in the accelerating cavity are less than 1%and 1°respectively.and the variation of the cavity resonance frequency is controlled within ±10 Hz. 相似文献

同步加速器Barrier Bucket高频系统用于克服空间电荷效应的影响,并对束团进行预压缩从而实现束团的多次累积来提高束流的流强。实现Barrier Bucket束流多次累积,要求在同步环高频加速腔上产生一个单正弦电压信号。针对单正弦波形的特点,讨论在同轴加载腔上产生该电压波形的方法和条件。通过对单正弦信号的频谱分析得出信号对加速腔高频系统的带宽要求,运用等效并联电路的方法并将同轴加载腔作线性时不变近似,求出输出的腔体电压与输入的激励电流间的关系。Barrier Bucket电压信号对加速腔整个高频系统的带宽要求至少应为单正弦频率的两倍。输入的激励电流为单正弦信号的基础上叠加上一个直流脉冲偏置,偏置大小为腔体Q值。最后,根据分析的结果在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存实验环(CSRe)高频系统的铁氧体加载腔和新研制的磁合金加载腔系统上进行测试,并对测试结果作相关讨论。 相似文献

SSC-LINAC是为兰州重离子研究装置(HIRFL)设计的直线注入器,它将U34+离子加速到1 MeV/u注入到分离扇回旋加速器(SSC)中,为冷却储存环(CSR)提供10 MeV/u的U34+。该注入器可以将SSC引出的重离子流强提高一个量级以上。SSC-LINAC由一个RFQ(Radio Frequency Quadrupole)加速器和4个DTL(drift tube linac)组成,设计频率为53.667 MHz。RFQ工作在连续波模式,设计功率30 kW,如果不能有效地冷却,高频电流在电极表面产生的热量会使RFQ的腔壁和电极发生形变,从而导致腔体频率的漂移以及加速和聚焦电场的改变。因此,为了保证连续波工作的RFQ加速器稳定运行,对水冷模式和通道设计提出了很高的要求。作者用有限元软件ANSYS对RFQ进行高频电磁场、温度场、结构应力的耦合分析,验证了冷却方案设计的可行性和可靠性。Heavy Ion Research Facility at Lanzhou(HIRFL) consists of SFC, SSC, CSRm and CSRe. A new linac injector, which will increase U34+ to 1 MeV/u, is designed for SSC to increase the beam intensity to ten times higher. The new injector, whose frequency is 53.667 MHz, is composed by a RFQ (Radio Frequency Quadrupole) cavity and four DTL(Drift Tube Linac) cavities. The RFQ cavity, whose RF power is 30 kW, is operated at CW(continuous wave) mode. The heat produced by HF (high frequency) electromagnetic will cause deformation of RFQ structure, lead to the resonant frequency shift, and reduce the focusing efficiency of the cavity. An efficient cooling system is necessary to ensure that the RFQ cavity can stably be operated at the nominal frequency. A detailed multi-physics field coupling analysis of RFQ has been finished with 3D finite elements software ANSYS. The result of the analysis shows that the water cooling system can cool the RFQ cavity fully and keep the frequency drift be in a acceptable level. 相似文献

The DC superconducting injector will be used in the PKU-THz facility which consists of a DC-gun and a 3+1/2-cell superconducting cavity. The cavity must accelerate the electron beam to 5.82 MeV which is susceptible to perturbations because of its narrow bandwidth. In this paper, the sources and influences of the perturbations in the 3+1/2-cell cavity are discussed. It is shown that the control system is essential for the cavity. A high-voltage electron cooling system (ECS) with electron energy reaching 2.5 MeV for the NICA collider is being designed at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The ECS is being developed in correspondence with the available experience in manufacturing similar systems from around the world. The main feature of this design is the use of two cooling electron beams (one beam per collider ring); electrons are accelerated and decelerated by a common high-voltage generator. A conceptual project of high-voltage ECS has been developed. The cooler consists of three tanks filled with SF6 gas under pressure. Two of them contain electron-beam forming systems; each system consists of two electron guns, two electron collectors, and accelerating-decelerating tubes placed in a longitudinal magnetic field generated by a solenoid. A 162.5 MHz, 2.1 MeV radio frequency quadruples (RFQ) structure is being designed for the Injector Scheme Ⅱ of the China Accelerator Driven Sub-critical System (C-ADS) linac. The RFQ will operate in continuous wave (CW) mode as required. For the CW normal conducting machine, the heat management will be one of the most important issues, since the temperature fluctuation may cause cavity deformation and lead to the resonant frequency shift. Therefore a detailed multi-physics analysis is necessary to ensure that the cavity can stably work at the required power level. The multi-physics analysis process includes RF electromagnetic analysis, thermal analysis, mechanical analysis, and this process will be iterated for several cycles until a satisfactory solution can be found. As one of the widely accepted measures, the cooling water system is used for frequency fine tunning, so the tunning capability of the cooling water system is also studied under different conditions. The results indicate that with the cooling water system, both the temperature rise and the frequency shift can be controlled at an acceptable level. 相似文献

合肥光源(HLS-Ⅱ)在重大维修改造之后,其光源性能有了很大的提升。为了进一步实现连续、平稳地供光,需要对其进行恒流改造。恒流运行要求直线加速器的微波功率源有长期的稳定性与可靠性,旧的模拟低电平控制系统满足不了要求。本文基于微型电信计算平台(MTCA)设计实现了数字低电平控制系统,控制微波功率源的幅度和相位,它由以FPGA为核心的数字板卡、射频板卡、 MTCA机箱以及频率合成系统组成。该数字低电平系统工作在2 856 MHz的S波段,在线运行幅度稳定度达到0.04%,相位稳定度达到0.2°,满足恒流改造对直线加速器数字低电平系统0.25°相位抖动RMS值的相位精度要求。 相似文献

The design of the quasi optical (q. o.) RF output system for the first industrial prototype of the European 170 GHz, 2 MW,
CW coaxial cavity gyrotron for electron cyclotron heating and current drive in ITER has been verified at a low power level.
Results of measurements with a high quality TE34,19-mode generator are in good agreement with the design calculations. This strengthens the confidence both to the employed design

根据电磁场理论设计了S波段TM610高次模圆柱谐振腔。运用HFSS,ISFELD3D, CST-MS及MAFIA软件计算了该谐振腔中TM610及其附近模式的电磁场分布、谐振频率及模式间隔。计算表明:TM610模式的电磁场集中在漂移管头周围的区域,谐振腔中心处无电磁场分布。根据TM610模式的特点,采取了在腔中心放置铁氧体微波吸收材料的方法来抑制杂模。HFSS模拟表明:腔内吸收材料可消除TM510模式外大部分杂模的影响。采用了在主谐振腔外加耦合吸收腔的方法来抑制TM510模式,该吸收腔基模TM010的谐振频率等于TM510的谐振频率。模拟表明:TM510模式的大部分能量可以被吸收腔内的铁氧体材料衰减掉,Q值从15 604下降到571。 相似文献
