In this paper symmetries and conservation laws for stochastic dynamical systems are discussed in detail. Determining equations for infinitesimal approximate symmetries of Ito and Stratonovich dynamical systems are derived. It shows how to derive conserved quantities for stochastic dynamical systems by using their symmetries without recourse to Noether's theorem.  相似文献

We show that the so-called hidden potential symmetries considered in a recent paper [M.L. Gandarias, New potential symmetries for some evolution equations, Physica A 387 (2008) 2234-2242] are ordinary potential symmetries that can be obtained using the method introduced by Bluman and collaborators [G.W. Bluman, S. Kumei, Symmetries and Differential Equations, Springer, New York, 1989; G.W. Bluman, G.J. Reid, S. Kumei, New classes of symmetries for partial differential equations, J. Math. Phys. 29 (1988) 806-811]. In fact, these are simplest potential symmetries associated with potential systems which are constructed with single conservation laws having no constant characteristics. Furthermore we classify the conservation laws for classes of porous medium equations, and then using the corresponding conserved (potential) systems we search for potential symmetries. This is the approach one needs to adopt in order to determine the complete list of potential symmetries. The provenance of potential symmetries is explained for the porous medium equations by using potential equivalence transformations. Point and potential equivalence transformations are also applied to deriving new results on potential symmetries and corresponding invariant solutions from known ones. In particular, in this way the potential systems, potential conservation laws and potential symmetries of linearizable equations from the classes of differential equations under consideration are exhaustively described. Infinite series of infinite-dimensional algebras of potential symmetries are constructed for such equations.  相似文献

Liouville (super)integrability of a Hamiltonian system of differential equations is based on the existence of globally well-defined constants of the motion, while Lie point symmetries provide a local approach to conserved integrals. Therefore, it seems natural to investigate in which sense Lie point symmetries can be used to provide information concerning the superintegrability of a given Hamiltonian system. The two-dimensional oscillator and the central force problem are used as benchmark examples to show that the relationship between standard Lie point symmetries and superintegrability is neither straightforward nor universal. In general, it turns out that superintegrability is not related to either the size or the structure of the algebra of variational dynamical symmetries. Nevertheless, all of the first integrals for a given Hamiltonian system can be obtained through an extension of the standard point symmetry method, which is applied to a superintegrable nonlinear oscillator describing the motion of a particle on a space with non-constant curvature and spherical symmetry.  相似文献

In this paper a three-dimensional system with five parameters is considered. For some particular values of these parameters, one finds known dynamical systems. The purpose of this work is to study some symmetries of the considered system, such as Lie-point symmetries, conformal symmetries, master symmetries and variational symmetries. In order to present these symmetries we give constants of motion. Using Lie group theory, Hamiltonian and bi-Hamiltonian structures are given. Also, symplectic realizations of Hamiltonian structures are presented. We have generalized some known results and we have established other new results. Our unitary presentation allows the study of these classes of dynamical systems from other points of view, e.g. stability problems, existence of periodic orbits, homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits.  相似文献

The differential equations of motion of a relativistic variable mass system are given.By using the invariance of the differential equations under the infinitesimal transformations of groups,the determining equations and the restriction equations of the Lie symmetries of a relativistic variable mass system are built,and the structure equation and the conserved quantity of the Lie symmetries are obtained.Then the inverse problem of the Lie symmetries is studied.The corresponding Lie symmetries are found according to a known conserved quantity.An example is given to illustrate the application of the result.  相似文献

The nonclassical symmetries of a class of nonlinear partial differential equations obtained by the compatibility method is investigated. We show thenonclassical symmetries obtained in [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 289 (2004) 55, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 311 (2005) 479] are not all the nonclassical symmetries. Based on a new assume on the form of invariant surface condition, all the nonclassical symmetries for a class of nonlinear partial differential equations can be obtained through the compatibility method. The nonlinear Klein-Gordonequation and the Cahn-Hilliard equations all serve as examples showing the compatibility method leads quickly and easily to the determining equations for their all nonclassical symmetries for two equations.  相似文献

The forms of coupling of the scalar field with gravity, appearing in the induced theory of gravity, and that of the potential are found in the Kantowski–Sachs model under the assumption that the Lagrangian admits Noether symmetry. The form thus obtained makes the Lagrangian degenerate. The constrained dynamics thus evolved due to such degeneracy has been analysed and a solution has also been presented which is inflationary in behaviour. It has further been shown that there exists other technique to explore the dynamical symmetries of the Lagrangian simply by inspecting the field equations. Through this method Noether along with some other dynamical symmetries are found which do not make the Lagrangian degenerate.  相似文献

In this paper we construct the autonomous quad-equations which admit as symmetries the five-point differential-difference equations belonging to known lists found by Garifullin, Yamilov and Levi. The obtained equations are classified up to autonomous point transformations and some simple non-autonomous transformations. We discuss our results in the framework of the known literature. There are among them a few new examples of both sine-Gordon and Liouville type equations.  相似文献

We discuss nonlocal symmetries and nonlocal conservation laws that follow from the systematic potentialisation of evolution equations. Those are the Lie point symmetries of the auxiliary systems, also known as potential symmetries. We define higher-degree potential symmetries which then lead to nonlocal conservation laws and nonlocal transformations for the equations. We demonstrate our approach and derive second degree potential symmetries for the Burgers' hierarchy and the Calogero–Degasperis–Ibragimov–Shabat hierarchy.  相似文献

Nonlinear PDE’s having given conditional symmetries are constructed. They are obtained starting from the invariants of the conditional symmetry generator and imposing the extra condition given by the characteristic of the symmetry. In this paper, the complex short pulse equation and the coupled complex short pulse equations that can describe the ultra-short pulse propagation in optical fibers are investigated. The two complex nonlinear models are turned into multi-component real models by proper transformations. Lie symmetries are obtained via the classical Lie group method, and the results for the coupled complex short pulse equations contain the existing results as particular cases. Based on the linearizing operator and adjoint linearizing operator for the two real systems, adjoint symmetries can be obtained. Explicit conservation laws are constructed using the symmetry/adjoint symmetry pair (SA) method. Relationships between the nonlinear self-adjointness method and the SA method are investigated.  相似文献

We work with a formulation of Noether-symmetry analysis which uses the properties of infinitesimal point transformations in the space-time variables to establish the association between symmetries and conservation laws of a dynamical system. Here symmetries are expressed in the form of generators. We have studied the variational or Noether symmetries of the damped harmonic oscillator representing it by an explicitly time-dependent Lagrangian and found that a five-parameter group of transformations leaves the action integral invariant. Amongst the associated conserved quantities only two are found to be functionally independent. These two conserved quantities determine the solution of the problem and correspond to a two-parameter Abelian subgroup.   相似文献

We prove a general theorem which allows the determination of Lie symmetries of the Laplace equation in a general Riemannian space using the conformal group of the space. Algebraic computing is not necessary. We apply the theorem in the study of the reduction of the Laplace equation in certain classes of Riemannian spaces which admit a gradient Killing vector, a gradient Homothetic vector and a special Conformal Killing vector. In each reduction we identify the source of Type II hidden symmetries. We find that in general the Type II hidden symmetries of the Laplace equation are directly related to the transition of the CKVs from the space where the original equation is defined to the space where the reduced equation resides. In particular we consider the reduction of the Laplace equation (i.e., the wave equation) in the Minkowski space and obtain the results of all previous studies in a straightforward manner. We consider the reduction of Laplace equation in spaces which admit Lie point symmetries generated from a non-gradient HV and a proper CKV and we show that the reduction with these vectors does not produce Type II hidden symmetries. We apply the results to general relativity and consider the reduction of Laplace equation in locally rotational symmetric space times (LRS) and in algebraically special vacuum solutions of Einstein’s equations which admit a homothetic algebra acting simply transitively. In each case we determine the Type II hidden symmetries.  相似文献

Lie group analysis is applied to a mathematical model for thin liquid films, namely a nonlinear fourth order partial differential equation in two independent variables. A three-dimensional Lie symmetry algebra is found and reductions to fourth order ordinary differential equations are obtained by using its one-dimensional subalgebras. Two of these ordinary differential equations are studied by the reduction method and by the Jacobi last multiplier method, and found to be linearizable. Furthermore, the G-equation and η-equation, namely two of the heir-equations obtained by iterating the nonclassical symmetries method, are constructed and reductions to different ordinary differential equations are acquired by using two-dimensional and three-dimensional subalgebras, respectively.  相似文献

Based on the infinitesimal transformation, we establish the Lie symmetric determining equationsand restrictive equations and give three definitions of Lie symmetries before the structure equations and conservedquantities of tile Lie symmetries are obtained.
