本文用自制的Q-YAG的倍频光泵浦Rh·6G染料,用调谐的染料激光束(562—598nm)与YAG的倍频光束在B-BaB2O4(BBO)晶体中和频,获得的连续可调谐范围是271-281.5nm,和频输出能量大子200μJ,最高转换效率为5%.我们用陈创天等人和K.Kato所给BB0晶体的Sellmetier方程计算了和频调谐曲线,它们之间的相位匹配角大约有一度之差.实验曲线与两条理论曲线都有不同程度的偏差.但是,与K.Kato的理论曲线更为接近.我们还讨论了BBO晶体的长度对输出能量的影响,并解释了产生这种影响的原因。  相似文献

The femtosecond laser induced void array inside Al2O3 crystals was discussed.The void array was formed spontaneously under the irradiation of a single beam of infrared femtosecond laser which was focused at a fixed point inside the Al2O3 crystal sample.It was found that the regular voids only could be fabricated near the sample surface,which was different from the situation in CaF2 single crystal reported before.The possible mechanism of the phenomena was also discussed.  相似文献

Crystalline TiO2 was induced three dimensionally inside Bi-free glass sample by an 800 nm, 250-kHz femtosecond laser irradiation. Micro-Raman spectra analysis indicated that the laser-induced crystals in the focal point of the laser beam were monophase TiO2 rutile. Continuous crystalline lines were written through moving the focal point of the laser beam inside the glass. The results demonstrate that this technique is a convenient method to engrave three-dimensional patterns of crystals for fabricating integrated optical devices in transparent materials.  相似文献

Both supercontinuum conical emission (SCCE) and blue-green conical emission (CE) by means of second harmonic generation (SHG) were observed alternately in a β-barium borate (BBO) crystal induced by femtosecond laser pulses with vertical polarization state. Three theoretical models were analyzed to interpret the angular beam of SCCE. The experimental conical angles with different wavelengths in BBO crystal and BK-7 glass can be explained well by nonlinear X-wave model and Cerenkov type phase matching model other than four-wave mixing (FWM) model.  相似文献

We report on a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser with 4.6 W of linear polarized continuous-wave (cw) output power on the 4F3/2 --> 4I9/2 transitions at 946 nm. Three different crystals, cut for critical type I phase matching at room temperature, are used for the intracavity frequency doubling of the laser: 10-mm-long LiBaO5 (LBO), an 8-mm-long beta-BaB2O4 (BBO), and a 10.4-mm-long BiB3O6 (BiBO) grown by FEE GmbH. Up to 2.8 W of cw output power in the blue spectral range at 473 nm has been achieved with the BiBO crystal (2.1 W with BBO and 1.5 W with LBO).  相似文献

We report what we believe to be the first operation of more than 1000 h of a 266-nm (cw) frequency-quadrupled solid-state laser with a 100-mW output. We used beta-BaB(2)O(4)(BBO) crystal grown by the Czochralski method to double the green-light (532-nm) wavelength, using an external resonant cavity. The green light was generated with an intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:YVO(4)laser pumped by a 4-W laser diode. When the incident 532-nm power on the external resonant doubler was 500 mW, we generated 100 mW of cw 266-nm radiation with the BBO crystal. The degradation rate seems to be proportional to the strength of the UV optical electric field. We also obtained a relative intensity noise of -130dB/Hz at frequencies of 2 to 10 MHz for 266-nm laser light.  相似文献

We report the observation of bubble generation and migration in a germanate glass during irradiation by a femtosecond laser of high repetition rate.Bubbles are formed around the focal area of the laser beam,and their movement indicates the presence of thermal gravity convection in the glass melt,which is beyond the existing theoretical model about temperature field of focal area.Inside the bubbles,oxygen molecules are observed by the confocal Raman micro-spectroscopy.The generation of molecular oxygen and bubbles is explained in terms of the spatial separation of Ge and O ions and micro-explosion inside the glass melt.  相似文献

通过使用波长 800nm、重复频率 250kHz的飞秒激光脉冲聚焦进Li2O-Nb2O5-SiO2组分的玻璃内部,空间选择性诱导出铌酸锂微晶.为了进一步地研究辐照区域晶体的生长机制,使用显微拉曼光谱仪分析了玻璃样品辐照区域不同位置的结构变化.研究表明,在飞秒激光辐照一段时间后的聚焦区域,由于非线性效应和热累积效应形成了一个高温辐射梯度场,在激光辐照中心区域超过玻璃的析晶温度而促使玻璃熔融析晶.  相似文献

Crystalline Ge was induced space selectively inside a borosilicate glass by 800 nm, 250 kHz femtosecond laser irradiation. Micro-Raman spectra and x-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the laser-induced crystals were cubic Ge. A periodic structure consisting of Ge crystalline lines was inscribed in the glass sample by continuously moving the focal point of the laser beam. Large third-order nonlinear optical properties and ultrafast response time were observed from the crystallization region owing to highly optical nonlinearity of Ge crystals. These results may find some applications in fabrication of functional optical and photonic devices, such as optical circuits.  相似文献

We report on a permanent change in the physical properties inside glass that is rapidly heated and quenched with a continuous-wave (CW) laser beam. The absorption of the glass was enhanced by laser heating, and the heated spot moved by thermal radiation and conduction. To trigger the heating, an absorbent material was placed on the backside of a glass plate and irradiated through the glass. The laser beam can modify borosilicate glass with a high aspect ratio (∼100:1) at a rate of ∼130 mm/s. The modified zone consists of two concentric cylindrical zones and is crack-free.  相似文献

Deep ultraviolet lasers have various applications in industries and scientific researches. For 266-nm ultra- violet (UV) laser generation, the good beam quality of 1064-nm laser and the elimination of gray-tracking effect of KTP crystal are two key factors. Using a dynamically stable resonator design, 1064-nm laser with an average power of 52 W is realized with repetition rate of 16 kHz. The measured M^2 factor characterizing the beam quality is 1.5. By the elimination of gray-tracking effect of KTP crystal, an 18-W green laser is realized with the M2 factor of 1.6. Using a BBO crystal for the fourth harmonic generation, a 1.9-W 266-nm UV laser is achieved.  相似文献

The generation of ultraviolet (UV) light at 335.5 nm based on frequency quadrupling of a diode-end- pumped Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser at 1342 nm was demonstrated. KTP crystal was used for generation of wavelength of 671 nm by intracavity doubling and LBO (BBO) crystal was exploited for the subsequent external fourth harmonic generation (FHG). With 6.3-W absorbed pump power and 10-kHz frequency repetition rate, the UV output power of 35 and 63 mW were obtained by using LBO and BBO as frequency quadrupling nonlinear crystals, respectively. The experimental results show that the conversion efficiency (red-UV) of 6.4% for BBO crystal is higher than that of 3.5% for LBO crystal, but the UV beam quality obtained by LBO crystal is better than by BBO crystal.  相似文献

The ferroelectric crystal Ba2TiSi2O8 with high second-order optical nonlinearity is precipitated in Sm^3+-doped BaO-TiO2-SiO2 glass by a focused 800hm, 250 kHz and 150fs femtosecond laser irradiation. No apparent blue and red emissions are observed at the beginning, while strong blue emission due to second harmonic generation and red emission due to the f-f transitions of Sm^3+ are observed near the focal point of the laser beam after irradiation for 25s. Micro-Raman spectra confirm that Ba2 TiSi2O8 crystalline dots and lines are formed after laser irradiation. The mechanism of the phenomenon is discussed.  相似文献

The wave-front distortion of femtosecond laser pulses recorded with a Shack-Hartmann analyzer makes it possible to retrieve the nonlinear index of refraction of different glasses and the nonlinear phase shift induced during second-harmonic generation in beta-barium borate (BBO) crystal versus the phase mismatch. It is shown that the nonlinear phase shift induced in a 2-mm-thick BBO crystal allows compensation for up to a 2pi breakup-integral induced in a 4-cm fused-silica glass. The stability of the compensation is reported to be from 10 to 100 GW cm(-2).  相似文献

The beam divergence effects of the input pump laser on a high power nanosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) have been numerically simulated. The OPO conversion efficiency is affected due to the angular deviation of real laser beams from ideal phase matching conditions. Our theoretical model is based on the decomposition of the Gaussian beam and assumes each component has a single deviation angle and thus a particular wave vector mismatch. We take into account the variable intensity profile in the spatial and temporal domains of the Gaussian beam, the pump depletion effects for large-signal processes as well as the oscillatory effects of the three waves. Two nonlinear crystals β-BaB2O4 (BBO) and LiB305 (LBO) have been investigated in detail. The results indicate that the degree of beam divergence strongly influences the maximum pump intensity, optimum crystal length and OPO conversion efficiency. The impact of beam divergence is much more severe in the case of critical phase-matching for BBO than in the case of non-critical phase-matching for LBO. The results provide a way to choose the optimum parameters for a high power ns OPO such as the nonlinear material, the crystal length and the pump intensity, etc. Good agreement is obtained with our experimental results.  相似文献

对0.532μm波长光泵浦的BBO光参量振荡器产生线宽的机制进行了详细分析和计算,结果与实验基本一致,实验结果表明泵浦光发散角是产生线宽的主要因素。文中的分析方法可推广至其它单轴晶体光参量振荡器线宽的分析。  相似文献

利用BIBO(BiB3O6)晶体的倍频效应,由半导体激光器产生的波长为846 nm激光可以获得波长为423 nm的蓝光。真空室内的钙炉在加热到600 ℃时产生钙原子束。将423 nm激光垂直照射到钙原子束上,用光电探测器可以获得钙原子束的荧光谱,谱线的半峰全宽(FWHM)为100 MHz。  相似文献
