A single longitudinal mode (SLM) short pulse high energy all-solid-state ultraviolet laser is demonstrated in this paper. Through the use of a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) architecture, we have been able to provide high-energy outputs with the combination of short pulses, good beam quality and SLM typically produced by a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. The passively Q-switched SLM Nd:YAG laser in a twisted-mode cavity is operated as the seed source. After the seed is amplified by a double-pass pre-amplifier and a single-pass main-amplifier, the 100 μJ, 1064 nm, ∼1 ns seeding pulse was amplified up to 400 mJ energy in the total pulse train. Using a KTP crystal for second-harmonic generation and a CLBO for fourth-harmonic generation, we successfully obtained a short pulse, high energy ultraviolet laser of 266 nm, with the output energy of 108 mJ, pulse width 1 ns and M2<5. 报道了一种灯泵浦结构的Nd:YAG晶体电光调Q高峰值功率266nm紫外激光器。结合磷酸二氢钾(KDP)晶体性质,基于倍频理论,分析了考虑走离效应情况下存在相位失配量时KDP晶体长度对转换效率的影响。该激光器采用紧凑的平平腔结构,灯泵浦Nd:YAG晶体电光调Q 1064nm激光作为基频光,腔外采用Ⅱ类匹配磷酸钛氧钾(KTP)和Ⅰ类匹配KDP分别作为二倍频和四倍频晶体。利用能量计、示波器等仪器进行测量,激光器重复频率1Hz时,获得脉宽6.0ns,单脉冲能量35mJ的266nm紫外激光输出,峰值功率高达5.83 MW;当重复频率10Hz时,获得单脉冲能量28.9mJ的266nm紫外激光。532~266nm转换效率最高可达31.9%。利用该高峰值功率、窄脉宽266nm紫外激光器,能够实现激光打标、激光雕刻。  相似文献

A simple method is presented to eliminate gray-tracking effects of KTP crystals using a strong focusing scheme. Experimental and theoretical studies on the gray-tracking effects are carried out. A 18 W green laser is demon-strated with a 9 kHz repetition rate, a beam quality factor of M^2 = 1.6 and a conversion efficiency of 44%.  相似文献

An efficient, eye-safe, high-repetition-rate, intracavity optical parametric oscillator (IOPO) inside an acousto-optically Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser end pumped by a 30-W fiber-coupled diode laser was demonstrated. The pumping, acousto-optically Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser gives 3-W average output power at 1064-nm wavelength at 40-kHz repetition rate. An additional separating mirror, x-cut KTP crystal and output coupler highly reflective at 1064-nm and partially transparent at 1572-nm wavelengths form a flat–flat IOPO resonator of 35-mm length. We have achieved 3-ns-duration pulses for 20-mm-long KTP and 4-ns-duration pulses for 30-mm-long KTP, respectively. More than 8-kW-peak-power pulses with an average power of 1.5 W at the signal wavelength for 40-kHz repetition rate were demonstrated. Due to the intracavity spatial cleaning effect, a near diffraction limited signal beam was achieved despite a relatively worse beam quality of the pumping beam. Conversion efficiencies of 50% with respect to Q-switched output at 1064-nm wavelength and 11% with respect to diode pump power were achieved. PACS 42.55.Xi; 42.60.Gd; 42.65.Yj  相似文献

Violet 404-nm radiation is generated by type-I single-pass frequency doubling of the output of an GaAlAs diode laser in critically phase-matched ZnCd(SCN)4 (ZCTC) crystal, a metallo-organic complex crystal. In this paper, its refractive index and second-harmonic generation phase-matching angles are reported. Using a 3-mm-long ZCTC crystal, a diode laser power of 473 mW generated 390 μW of second-harmonic radiation. More recently, 380-nm, 20 μW ultraviolet (UV) radiation is also realized by frequency doubling of the 100 mW output of a continuous-wave Ti:sapphire laser at 760 nm. ZCTC is a promising UV nonlinear optical candidate material for frequency doubling of diode lasers.  相似文献

We report for the first time a continuous-wave (CW) orange-red radiation at 620 nm by intracavity sum-frequency generation of 1085-nm Nd:YVO4 laser and 1444-nm Nd:YAG laser. Using type-II critical phase matching KTP crystal, 620-nm orange-red laser was obtained by 1085- and 1444-nm intra-cavity sum-frequency mixing, and output power of 223 mW was demonstrated. At the output power level of 223 mW, the output power stability is better than 3% and laser beam quality M 2 factor is 1.32.  相似文献

报道了一种激光二极管阵列(LDA)抽运Nd:YAG双波长和频黄光激光器黄激光是由Nd:YAG晶体的1064 nm和1319 nm谱线腔内和频产生以KTP为和频晶体,采用Ⅱ类临界相位匹配,在12 W的808 nm抽运功率下,获得了最高功率为430 mW连续波基横模的589 nm黄激光输出,光光转换效率为3.6%,光束质量因子M2<1.2实验结果表明采用激光二极管阵列抽运Nd:YAG/KTP腔内和频技术是获得黄激光的高效方法,并可以应用到其它激光增益介质的两条谱线进行腔内和频,获得更多不同颜色的单谱线激光输出  相似文献

We report for the first time a coherent red radiation at 689 nm by intracavity sum-frequency generation of the 1319- and 1444-nm laser-lines of two Nd:YAG lasers. Using type-II critical phase matching KTP crystal, 689-nm red laser was obtained by 1444- and 1319-nm intra-cavity sum-frequency mixing, and output power of 156 mW was obtained. At the output power level of 156 mW, the output power stability is better than 5.0% and laser beam quality M 2 factor is 1.23.  相似文献

采用波长为1 064 nm/532 nm、脉宽6 ns(FWHM)的高重复频率调Q激光,研究了磷酸氧钛钾(KTP)晶体中灰迹的产生机理,以及色心密度对灰迹的影响。晶体透过率表征了色心密度,根据透过率与色心密度的关系以及色心密度对灰迹产生的决定作用,定义临界灰迹密度,当晶体透过率高于此值时可安全运行,而低于此值时,为避免晶体发生灾难性损伤应立即停止运行。实验结果表明:灰迹不仅大量吸收紫外及可见光能量,而且大量吸收近红外波段能量,这为灰迹的在线监测提供了一种监测方法。  相似文献

A LD end-pumped acoustic-optic Q-switched intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser was demonstrated. It uses a high gray-tracking resistance KTP crystal as nonlinear optical crystal. The output characteristics of 532 nm green laser using different doping concentrations and cavity configurations were investigated. With the pump power of 27.5 W, a maximum average power of 13 W at 532 nm was achieved at a pulse repetition rate of 80 kHz, corresponding to the optical-to-optical efficiency of 47.3%. The pulse width is 30 ns and single pulse energy is up to 162.5 μJ. This work is a significant exploration for using a high gray-tracking resistance KTP crystal to generate highly efficient frequency-doubled green laser.  相似文献

用KTP晶体对激光二极管端面泵浦的Nd:YAG晶体;Cr:YAG被动调Q产生的1064nm脉冲激光器进行腔外倍频,用BBO晶体四倍频产生266 nm紫外激光.用15 W的LD阵列;当LD泵浦功率为12 W的情况下;红外(1064 μm)调Q平均输出功率为2.2 W;脉冲序列周期为40 μs;脉宽为18ns;峰值功率高达4.9kW.采用KTP腔外二倍频;532nm的绿光输出平均功率为850mW;用BBO腔外四倍频;266nm的紫外光输出平均功率高达215mW,绿光-紫外光光转换效率为25.2%, 红外到紫外总的转换效率为9.8%.  相似文献

Achievement of more than 100 mW of pure continuous-wave deep-ultraviolet radiation at 213 nm has been demonstrated in an efficient all-solid-state laser system that uses two Brewster-cut CsLiB6O10 (CLBO) crystals. The first crystal is used for 266-nm generation by external resonant doubling of 532-nm radiation from a frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser. Subsequent sum-frequency mixing is performed in a second CLBO crystal placed in a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser cavity to mix the single-pass 266-nm output with circulating 1064-nm light.  相似文献

A yellow continuous wave with beam quality M^2= 4.6 and output power of 4.8 W at 589nm is generated by intracavity sum-frequency mixing of 1064 nm and 1319 nm radiations of a Nd:YAG laser. To achieve high beam quality at high power, thermally near-unstable flat-flat resonators with two-rod birefringence compensation are designed to obtain the large fundamental mode size inside the Nd:YAG rods and the same beam width inside the KTP crystal. The optimal intracavity power ratio of both 1064nm and 1319nm beams is also considered. The output power fluctuation of the yellow laser remains less than 5% in four hours.  相似文献

被动调Q产生1064 nm脉冲激光在腔外聚焦后入射到KTP中,产生532 nm的倍频光,再通过LBO和频产生355 nm激光。当抽运功率为3.4 W时,基频光调Q输出平均功率为350 mW,峰值功率达3.5 kW。腔外二倍频532 nm绿光输出平均功率为110 mW,用Ⅰ类相位匹配LBO晶体和频获得36 mW的355 nm的紫外激光输出,三倍频效率(1064~355 nm)达到10.2%。由于Cr∶YAG晶体达到饱和吸收后,会呈现出各向异性的特征,对基频光的偏振状态有很大影响。实验中必须合理放置复合晶体,使基频光的偏振状态为近似线偏振以提高转换效率。  相似文献

介绍了在1~20 Hz电光调Q情况下,半导体脉冲激光侧面泵浦Nd∶YAG晶体腔外四倍频266 nm紫外激光器的输出特性.实验采用直腔结构,在腔外分别利用KTP和BBO晶体产生532 nm倍频绿光、266 nm四倍频紫外激光.当泵浦电流为120 A、重复率为1 Hz时,266 nm紫外激光最大单脉冲能量为15.4 mJ、脉宽8 ns,峰值功率高达1.93 mW;重复率20 Hz时,获得了最大平均功率为156.2 mW的266 nm紫外激光输出,四倍频的转换效率为10.63%.同时利用一组分光镜,获得了352 mW的532 nm脉冲绿光和423 mW的1 064 nm脉冲红外光输出.  相似文献

 报道了一台二极管激光器(DL)泵浦的全固态Nd:YAG和频激光器,激光是由Nd:YAG晶体的1 064 nm 和1 319 nm 谱线外腔和频产生,以6 mm×6 mm×12 mm KTP为和频晶体,采用Ⅱ类临界相位匹配, 在400 Hz重复频率下,当分别注入3.05 W和2.46 W的1 064 nm和1 319 nm调Q脉冲到KTP晶体时,和频最大输出达到了1.3 W,脉宽为35 ns,线宽优于3 GHz,和频效率达到了23.5%, 光束质量因子分别为1.84和1.93。实验结果表明采用激光二极管阵列泵浦Nd:YAG/ KTP 腔外和频技术是获得黄激光的高效方法, 并通过精确控制谐振腔内标准具的倾角与温度,和频输出波长可精确调谐到Na D2线。  相似文献

The generation of ultraviolet (UV) light at 335.5 nm based on frequency quadrupling of a diode-end- pumped Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser at 1342 nm was demonstrated. KTP crystal was used for generation of wavelength of 671 nm by intracavity doubling and LBO (BBO) crystal was exploited for the subsequent external fourth harmonic generation (FHG). With 6.3-W absorbed pump power and 10-kHz frequency repetition rate, the UV output power of 35 and 63 mW were obtained by using LBO and BBO as frequency quadrupling nonlinear crystals, respectively. The experimental results show that the conversion efficiency (red-UV) of 6.4% for BBO crystal is higher than that of 3.5% for LBO crystal, but the UV beam quality obtained by LBO crystal is better than by BBO crystal.  相似文献

We report on the experimental investigation and theoretical analysis of a nanosecond pulse high power ultraviolet(UV) 278 nm laser by fourth-harmonic generation(FHG) of a 1112-nm Nd:YAG amplifier in LiB_3O_5(LBO) and CsB_3O_5(CBO) crystals. The UV laser delivers a maximum average power of 10.3 W at 278 nm with peak power of 36.8 k W under input pump power of 41 W at 556 nm. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the highest output power at the specific UV wavelength of 278 nm. We also performed the theoretical investigation on the FHG with a model in the Gaussian approximation of both spatial and temporal profiles, especially accounting for the two-photon absorption effect in CBO crystal for the first time. The average output power, pulse width, and beam spatial distribution of the UV laser were simulated. The theoretical calculations are in close agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

We report the capture of cold strontium atoms in a magneto-optical trap (MOT) at a rate of 4 x 10(10) atoms/s. The MOT is loaded from an atomic beam decelerated by a Zeeman slower operating with a focused laser beam. The 461-nm laser, used for both cooling and trapping, was generated by sum-frequency mixing in a KTP crystal with diode lasers at 813 nm and a Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm. As much as 115 mW of blue light was obtained.  相似文献
